The house "Lyckebo
is a holiday home built in the 1970s, which has always been lovingly maintained and has been extensively modernised and extended over the past 20 years. Everything is very well maintained and generously laid out - up to date. The outbuildings were built in the 90s and 2000s.
Prepare Swedish delicacies in the fully equipped and spacious kitchen. Enjoy the view of the forest in the morning sun from the floor-to-ceiling living room windows. Say "Good morning!" to the deer and elk
In summer as in winter, your own little sauna is a lot of fun. Enjoy the view of the valley from the Hollywood swing with your morning coffee in hand
A boat (including electric motor and battery) can be rented for an extra charge. (centrally located on a larger lake in the village)

The house is very quietly situated at the
End of a dead end road (gravel road in the forest) near Skogsjön (where Waserski is driven) in Ambjörnarp in Tranemo County.
There is only one neighbour a few hundred metres away, so it is virtually isolated.
Tranemo itself is about 8km away. Here you will find everything for daily life: several supermarkets, health centre with pharmacy, post office and banks (ATM) as well as some small shops in the pedestrian zone
Cycling, extensive walks, canoeing and rowing tours on lakes and rivers in the surrounding area offer variety in nature. Trips to the west coast, to Gothenburg (Liseberg Park, Universeum ...) or also to Jönköping (Husqvarna Museum, Match Museum ) at Lake Vättern offer plenty of variety on rainy but also sunny days. Visit HighChapparal, the western town or go skiing in Hestra at Isaberg. (both approx. 30-45 min away)
There are shopping possibilities in Gällstad (30min) or also at Gekas in Ullared. (50min)

| Service charges Deposit: A deposit of 250 EUR will be charged. The refund will be made together with the energy bill approx. 1 week after departure. Energy costs: Energy (electricity) is charged according to consumption. The house is heated electrically, with a heat pump or directly electrically. In summer you can expect electricity costs of approx. 30€/week for an occupancy of 3 persons. In autumn/winter this can be 50-80€ or more, depending on the weather. (depending on the number of persons) Firewood is included. The house must be left thoroughly cleaned. Last dishes in the dishwasher, we clear this out after handover. On departure, we will carry out an on-site inspection Bed linen and towels: ...generally do NOT have to be brought by yourself. Of course you can bring your own things, please arrange this with us. Otherwise you will find freshly made beds. Sauna towels are also available! Several duvets / pillows are available. (Also cuddly blankets on the sofa!) Internet: In the house there is internet via a UMTS-WLAN router. The costs for this are included in the rental price. (10 GB per week included - further 10GB will be charged with 200 SEK on site) The speed varies with the weather (mobile phone service) and is usually around 3-8 Mbit. (depending on the weather) Wi-Fi is available in all areas/houses. Canoes: One or more canoes can be rented for small money by the day at Ambjörnarp's alliance meeting (for the benefit of the church community). The boats are located at lake Byasjön in the middle of Ambjörnarp. Rowing boat with electric motor: We can provide you with our rowing boat (GRP, 3.5m, up to 4 pers.) on a daily or weekly basis for an extra charge. Life jackets for children (approx. 5-10 years) available. |

- Free cancellation option until 14 days before the day of arrival.
- (Gilt so lange wie `Corona` noch nicht für beendet erklärt wurde. Im Falle von staatlicher Willkür (Lockdowns, ungesetzliche Reisebeschränkungen; Quarantäne etc.) fällt KEINE Stornierungsgebühr an! Nachweis erforderlich. In `normalen` Zeiten gelten folgende Bedingungen: Sie bekommen 30% des Buchungsbetrages (Anzahlung) abzüglich der Stornierungsgebühr (120 Euro) zurückerstattet, wenn Sie die Buchung mindestens 90 Tage vor dem geplanten Check-in bis 12 Uhr mittags MEZ (Mitteleuropäische Zeit) stornieren. Bei Stornierungen, die weniger als 90 Tage vor Check-in vorgenommen werden, bekommen Sie nichts zurückerstattet.

Many species of mushrooms ( porcini) also grow around the house in the beautiful woods.

Great accommodation in a quiet location
Super equipped house on a great natural plot on the edge of the forest. Perfect for people who are looking for peace and relaxation. Mushrooms and blueberries right outside the front door. Very nice, helpful landlord; thank you Stefan!

Top equipment and quiet location
The house is untypically well equipped, especially for Swedish holiday homes. Thanks to the location on the edge of the forest, you can relax and pick mushrooms in peace and quiet. We had less luck with fishing, but that's not the house's fault ;) If something doesn't work out, the nice landlord is easy to reach. All in all, a great holiday :) Many thanks!

Top accommodation with nice landlords
The accommodation is top! Really well maintained and very well equipped. All kitchen utensils (from waffle iron to blender to table grill), sharp knives, spices, etc. are available. We felt at home as soon as we arrived.
Through the windows in the dining/living room you always have a view of the greenery. Bathroom and shower are spacious.
The accommodation is a bit secluded and so you can enjoy the garden in the forest in peace, e.g. on the Hollywood swing.
As already mentioned, the owners Mr. and Mrs. Menzel are very happy to provide information and tips. Even before our arrival, we had very nice telephone contact.
So we could spend a very nice holiday with our dog. Thank you very much!

Super angenehme Unterhaltung mit den (deutschen) Eigentümern
Wir haben in diesem Haus keinen Urlaub verbracht, weil die Wahl letztendlich doch auf eine andere Unterkunft gefallen ist.
Dennoch möchte ich hier einmal erwähnen, dass ich - im Vorfeld bei der Suche nach einem Urlaubsdomizil - einen super angenehmen und freundlichen E-Mail-Kontakt mit dem Eigentümer, Herrn Menzel, hatte.
Er hat zeitnah geantwortet, war zu jederzeit auskunfts- und hilfbereit - egal ob es um Fragen zum Haus, die Umgebung oder das Leben in Schweden ging!! Ganz toll!. Vielen Dank Herr Menzel!
Es ist nicht auszuschließen, dass das Haus der Familie Menzel zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt nicht auch einmal unser Urlaubsziel wird. :-)

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub
Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Anlage ist sauber und gepflegt. Sie liegt etwas abgelegen in einer wunderschönen Gegend. Wälder und Seen befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und haben uns gute Tips in Sachen Ausflugsziele gegeben.

We have been holidaymakers in Sweden for many years (since 1999) and have now decided to share "our Swedish dream" with others. Since 2014 we have been "living our dream" - we have emigrated Our holiday home is lovingly furnished - everything is very neat and modern. The house has been modernised and extended over the years. (The bedroom and bathroom have recently been renovated or added to) The house is very spacious and you don't have to sleep in small "sleeping chambers", as is often the case in Sweden in small "sleeping chambers". There is internet, telephone, etc. In the two outbuildings there is another bedroom for 2 people (with its own TV and air conditioning) and a sauna with its own shower. Washing machine and dryer are of course also available. We are also happy to give local tips for excursions and activities! Welcome to Ambjörnarp! Katrin and Stephan
