Location and surroundings of object
The Finnhütte is located in a small, well-kept holiday home complex. Hedges about two meters high separate the property from the neighbors and provide pleasant privacy. One side of the property faces the forest.
In the garden house there are three bicycles (2x 28 inch and 1x 26 inch, not new but functional) as well as a Weber grill. The kayak is stored with an acquaintance at Canower See, about 500 meters from the Finnhütte – freely accessible.
A beautiful swimming spot at Labussee can be reached in just under ten minutes on foot. The path leads past an alpaca farm.
In Canow there are three restaurants, a small kiosk for everyday necessities, a marina, and a fisherman where you can get fresh fish daily. In town you can also rent bicycles and e-bikes, canoes, and motorboats.

| Note spa tax fee From 01.01.2021, a spa tax will be required for the municipality of Wustrow, in which the village of Canow is also located, according to the statutes. According to the municipality, there will also be benefits in this respect. The statutes as well as information on the benefits are available at A daily fee of €1.20 is charged per person over 18 years of age. Reductions for severely disabled persons, pupils etc. can be found in the statutes. For example, for a rental week (shortest rental period in Haus Steffi), this results in a fee of € 7.20 for 1 person (arrival and departure=1 day). The fee is to be transferred to the landlord with the rental contract and will then be paid to the municipality by the landlord. You will receive the exact procedure when concluding a rental request and it is easy to handle. |

Dreamlike short vacation
We came for an extended weekend to this beautiful holiday home and were thrilled from the start. The Finnish cabin is equipped with everything necessary and much more. It has a nice garden where you can linger and grill in good weather. We enjoyed the cool evenings by the fireplace. The accommodation is very clean and comfortably furnished. The exchange of information with Mr. Kalmbach also went very well, and you receive a response within a day. 5 stars are justified and we will definitely come back to Canow.

Thank you for a great vacation!
We were with our grandchildren, two big boys, for a week at House Steffi and found everything in top condition. Instead of the 3 bikes provided, there were 4.... Thank you! We didn't use the 2-person boat, but rented a 4-person paddle boat from the rental shop. A toaster would be great... and there are no double beds but 4 single ones. It's completely fine, but we brought the wrong bed sheets because of that;-) Thank you, we'd gladly return! Nice neighbors...;-)) are also there!!!

Super relaxing vacation
A big thank you to the landlord Mr. Kalmbach!
...we had a great and relaxing time in this great holiday home, great weather and were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Thanks to the bicycles, we were able to explore the forest a lot (although there were no mushrooms, we went swimming in Trünnensee, in the middle of the forest)!
We felt very comfortable during the 14 days and would love to come back next year.

Beautiful little house in a magnificent location
The cozy holiday house is pretty and well equipped, perfectly and quietly located.
During the day, we explored the surroundings by paddle, enjoying the best weather (a top-notch boat rental is nearby, in case you need multiple boats), and in the evenings, we enjoyed the various seating areas in and around the house. Canow also offers guest houses, a small shop to stock up on everything, a nice kiosk by the lake, and endless nature. We felt completely comfortable. It's not easy without a car, but possible.
The communication with the nice landlord was extremely uncomplicated. We would come back anytime... Thank you very much to the Kalmbach family.

Perfect vacation in nature!
First of all, many thanks for the many information and the all-round support from Mr. Kalmbach! We've never had such a nice, very helpful, communicative landlord before! The cottage is really spotlessly clean, very comfortably furnished and nothing is really missing! 2-person kayak, bicycles, 2 sauna loungers with thick pads, 4 terrace chairs, a furnished conservatory (with table & cushions), mosquito window screens on many windows in the house, barbecue, washing machine, large clothesline in the garden, iron, hairdryer, cleaning supplies, kitchen appliances and small items from the wine opener to sharp knives, scissors, clips, etc. The rhododendron was in bloom in the garden when we arrived; the tall hedges protect against prying eyes, bushes and lawn were very well maintained. All-day bird chirping, very nice neighbors, short distances to eat (traditional German cuisine and fish restaurant right by the water), small kiosk, a marina with relaxing chairs in Canow complete the consistently positive impression. Canow is centrally located for kayaking and cycling trips. The provided kayak has the advantage that it can be used at any time, and you are not bound by return times as with a rental. This gives you the absolute freedom to choose your routes if you don't know how long you will need. If you want to relax, this is the place to be! For self-catering, shopping is done in Rheinsberg. In any case, we felt very comfortable here and would love to stay in touch! Many thanks and keep up the good work!

...wir hatten eine mega schöne und erholsame Zeit in diesen tollen Ferienhaus, super Wetter und konnten die Ruhe genießen. Dank der Fahrräder waren wir viel im Wald unterwegs(es gab zwar keine Pilze,dafür waren im Trünnensee, mitten im Wald, baden)!
In den 14 Tagen haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und möchten nächstes Jahr sehr gern wiederkommen.

Tagsüber haben wir bei bestem Wetter die Umgebung paddelnd erkundet (ein eins-a-mässiger Bootsvermieter ist in der Nähe, falls man mehrere Boote benötigt), die Abende auf den verschiedenen Sitzplätzen im und beim Haus genossen. Canow bietet auch Gasthäuser, ein Büdchen, um sich mit allem möglichen einzudecken, einen netten Kiosk am See, Natur ohne Ende. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Ohne Auto ist's nicht ganz einfach, aber möglich.
Die Kommunikation mit dem netten Vermieter war äusserst unkompliziert. Jederzeit würden wir wieder.... Herzlichen Dank an die Familie Kalmbach.
Ausstattung ist super - von Ausflugstipps übers scharfe Messer bis hin zu Wäscheklammern - alles da! Toll ist der Garten, den wir zum Spielen mit den Kindern und zum Grillen nutzen konnten.
Wer die pure Erholung sucht, ist hier richtig!
Man kann aber auch viel unternehmen oder einfach nur "nix tun". Kulturfreunde freuen sich über Schlösser und Museen, die Sportler über das große Kanu- und Sportbootrevier. Die kleine Badestelle am Labussee mit Sandstrand zum Buddeln und Sandburgen Bauen und Beachvolleyball-Feld ist nicht überlaufen und bietet auch schattige Plätze, wenn die Sonne bruzzelt.
Der kleine Kiosk am Canower See mit Crêpes, Fischbrötchen und einer kleinen Cocktail-Auswahl ist einen Besuch wert, im Garten dort kann man auch die herrliche Abendstimmung genießen.
Danke an Familie Kalmbach für die tolle Unterkunft, die reibungslose, schnelle und sehr nette Kommunikation! Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder!
Das Haus ist total gemütlich, toller, großer Garten, ruhig und perfekt gelegen für Ausflüge in die schöne Umgebung.
Der Ort Canow bietet neben tollen Badestellen (auch fußläufig) an unterschiedlichen Seen auch die Möglichkeit, in Restaurants essen zu gehen und am See im "Kiosk" den Tag ausklingen zu lassen.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr nett, er hat sich um alles gekümmert!
So muss Urlaub sein!
