Description
***Attention CORONA-News / Status 2026: Actually no longer an issue. Instead, regarding the revamped holiday home rental website, the following note: We remain as self-determined as ever and use the portal primarily as a contact point, from then on in direct communication; and hardcoristi: Take note of crispiness discounts - bella Italia! ***
Now take the opportunity: Sustainable touring, trekking, course, or even just overnight offer at Posto Tra Monti e Mare! There, 20 winding kilometers north of San Remo, between the Mediterranean and the Maritime Alps, buzzwords like alternative living, self-determination, gentle tourism, deceleration, slow food, or ecological economy have become vivid practice. For example, anyone traveling along the GTA on an Alpine tour from the southern 3000-meter peaks to the Mediterranean coast, or currently cycling the Ligurian Alpine arc by mountain bike, can see this for themselves, as can groups or individual travelers who have come by for booked tours or stays in the mattress dormitory or the cozy holiday home. Or for combinations of all of these: In this way, a 3-day workshop with a small herb and chestnut tour, cultural hikes in the footsteps of partisans, witches or nomads, a trek to the 3000-meter peaks, and of course enough freely available days can also be combined into a challenging, nature-oriented annual vacation in an inspiring environment. For our visitors, spread out over 7 spacious terraces, there are a charming summer house (to which the occupancy calendar here refers), a 12-person mattress dormitory, and romantic tent sites available – but beware: everything is at the simplest and most natural level, rustic as it should be for the land, the people, Liguria, and a reduced earth consumption of 0.9 planets. For this is also at the center of our holiday home guests’ needs: To experience, hike, and enjoy local culture, rural lifestyle, real traditions of the people on site, and the dynamics of history in the present and for the future in a completely practical, climate-neutral way—beyond meditation and book knowledge, with sun sails, outdoor showers and compost toilets, soon with real donkeys, in any case already with chickens, etc. : At Posto TMM, you are competently accompanied, change perspectives, broaden your horizons with joy, and take home lasting inspiration.
Vignai is located about 20 km north of San Remo at an altitude of 800 m. There are many ways to reach Posto TMM: either from France via Nice and San Remo to Baiardo (bus from San Remo), or from Genoa/Savona to just before San Remo, namely to Taggia and from there (also possible by bus) to Badalucco or to the turnoff towards Monte Ceppo 2 km before. Anyone not arriving in their own car (parking spaces are available down by the road) must continue on foot, by bike, or by hitchhiking from Baiardo or Badalucco or from the turnoff at the latest. Of course, for an appropriate surcharge and with timely advance booking, we are also happy to organize a pick-up service.
Our own favorite route to Vignai comes from the Alps and leads with the 29-euro night train from Frankfurt/Main. to Milan (nowadays other Nightline connections have to suffice), then on to Cuneo and from there with the historic Tenda railway over the pass of the same name into the French Roya Valley. Upon arrival in the early afternoon, we climb directly from La Brigue via the Crête du Rionard to the Italian side, spend the night in the Rifugio Allavena (CAI), and arrive the next day in the early afternoon; alternatively, if time or fitness are not sufficient, we stay overnight in the Gite de Bergiron in Saorge after getting off the train and do a full-day hike to Vignai from there the next day. Of course, you can also reach Vignai directly from Cuneo on nothing but small roads – but only by bicycle. By car or moped, you would wind along the direct route from the north via Mondovi/Ceva and then Garessio, Ormea, Pieve di Teco, and Carpasio. Vignai belongs to the municipality of Baiardo (Bajardo) and is located about 9 km east of the main town on the boundary with the municipality of Badalucco (still about 14 kilometers by road). Of course, there are also varied footpaths to both places, which lead through this charming and rather solitary landscape in about 2 hours each. The Oxentina Valley is considered the most beautiful and unspoiled side valley of the Argentina area and has hardly any traffic and no bus connection from Baiardo in the west to the junction with the provincial road to Badalucco in the east. Countless half-day, full-day, and multi-day tours in all directions are possible: to the beach, into the high mountains, in the footsteps of partisans and witches, Brigaskian nomads, squatters, and contemporary artists, but also local lifestyles, cooking, and crafts. The "house has no reviews yet" because we have disabled this stupid feature.

Location and surroundings of object
By bike or car would wind from the north of the Direttissima Mondovi / Ceva and then Garessio, Ormea, Rezzo. Vignai belongs to the municipality Baiardo (Bajardo) and is located about 9 km east of the main town on the border of the district municipality of Badalucco (about 14 road miles). At both locations there are also varied footpaths that lead into each of about 2 hours through this graceful and rather lonely landscape. The Oxentina Valley is considered the finest and most original side of the Argentina area and has Baiardo from the west to the junction on the main road to the east Badalucco little traffic and no bus service. There are numerous half-, and multi-day tours in all directions: to the beach, the mountains, in the footsteps of partisans and witches, brigaskischen nomads, squatters and contemporary artists, but also local food, cooking and handicrafts. additional information about rental price:
| The summer house is always booked for full weeks. However, extensions by the day are possible for €40 daily if necessary. From mid-October there is a low season rate for autumnal hikers and in early spring a crispness discount (with only a 4-night minimum stay), with which we honour the adventurous spirit of more rustic natures, because shorter days and cooler nights are then, at 800m at the pulse of nature, also in Liguria, nothing for too frosty guests. The automatically displayed low price of the equivalent of €33 per day refers precisely to these special offer weeks. The regular weekly rate is € 264. Regardless of this, there are usually places available in the mattress camp or on the tent site for even more radically rustic hikers: at 16.50 € (ML) or 7.70 € (ZP) per night and nose. The campsite is usually closed from 15 December to 15 February. |
Cancellation terms:
The entire agreement is only binding upon receipt of a 90 EUR deposit (as an AGRÖK membership fee) no later than 7 days prior, which will then be credited or, in the event of non-commencement of the agreed booking, converted into a cancellation fee (donation to the association). The remaining amount is due in cash on the day of arrival or to be transferred contactlessly 3 days prior (date of value posting), and preferably earlier. In the event of actual and officially imposed travel, visitation, or lodging bans due to Corona restrictions beyond those in place as of February 17, 2021, both parties will share the cancellation costs equally. Any other payments already made will of course be returned promptly in any case.
additional information:
Basically, our guests are in the middle of a self-determined subsistence-oriented private household in the old Ligurian way (and under the conditions of the 21st century). Similar to youth hostels, within the framework of AGRÖK we have also constituted ourselves as an "association for the promotion of agro-ecological thinking, action and management worldwide", so that guests pay membership fees or association donations.
