At the edge of Speckenbütteler Park in Bremerhaven is the holiday apartment "Behind the Seven Mountains," located on the grounds of the German Shepherd Club.
For all dog sport enthusiasts, but also for dog owners in general, the holiday apartment on the club grounds offers everything a dog lover could wish for. For dog athletes, the grounds with its two training fields leave nothing to be desired. Both training fields can be used in full by our guests for training. If interested, it is possible to participate in the training sessions. These take place every Wednesday and Saturday.
The comfortably furnished accommodation is designed for 2 people, maximum 3 people, and offers 55 m² of living space, which includes a living room with sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with double bed (1.80 m wide), and a bathroom with bathtub.
There is also a kennel (for 1 dog) located behind the apartment on the property. This can be used free of charge by our tenants.
The grounds of the dog park, with its two training areas, offer enough space and variety for dog and owner.
A carport is available for your car directly on the premises next to the holiday apartment.

At the Speckenbütteler See, which is the central point of the park, you can hire a boat
or, after a long walk with your four-legged companion, enjoy the excellent cuisine of the

you decide, the Speckenbütteler Park will be a place of pure relaxation and you will be living exclusively
right in the middle!
For a nice walk or a bicycle tour, a trip to Weddewarden (approx
4 km). You have the possibility to park behind the dyke, at the edge of the fourth largest container harbour in
Container port in Europe. Cycle along the Weser cycle path to further destinations such as the Ochsenturm
and/or the North Sea resort of Wremen. In Wremen, your two-legged and four-legged friends can enjoy a refreshment
the way back. This route is also ideal for walks.
The possibilities for walking and cycling are almost inexhaustible here.

from stressful everyday life and time for your hobby!
Shopping facilities are nearby and can be easily reached by car in approx. 2 km
by car
But also the centre of Bremerhaven with the Havenwelten, Auswandererhaus, Schifffahrtsmuseum, Zoo am Meer,
Klimahaus and Weserstrandbad are only about 6 km away.

A beautiful vacation
A lovely hello from East Frisia
We were able to enjoy a great week from July 22 to July 29, 2025, in a very beautiful... located in the Speckenbütteler Forest... very well-maintained... equipped with all comforts holiday apartment.
The property... of the German Shepherd Club... with holiday apartment is completely fenced... escape-proof for dogs... really great.
Training takes place there twice a week.
... our Paddy was allowed to participate in an agility training session... well... Practice makes perfect
The Speckenbütteler Forest offers a lot for young and old to get fit or stay fit.
There is no boredom for the children either. There is something for everyone to have fun.
A trip to the zoo by the sea is a must. We were thrilled. Dogs are allowed. We enjoyed the day at the zoo.
A big compliment to the members of the German Shepherd Club for the love and joy with which they train the dogs.
It was very nice to see... what and how they learn . .

Great holiday apartment
We spent very nice vacation days here, everything was perfect and nothing was missing. The landlords were very nice and helpful. We were able to use a kennel for our German Shepherd. All important household items were clean and available. We will definitely come back as the apartment is right next to or in the park. Ideal for a vacation with a dog.

Warm welcome by the landlords, met nice dog sport enthusiasts. Lovingly decorated holiday apartment with an ideal location by the city park of Speckenbüttel. Perfect for walks with our dogs, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

People and animals both get their money's worth.
We had a really great vacation behind the seven mountains :-).
The vacation apartment is located directly on the dog training ground, which is perfect for dog sports enthusiasts or those who want to become one. It is really spacious, modern and thoughtfully furnished. Even with two large dogs, we did not feel restricted. Everything you need is available, so you quickly feel at home. We were warmly welcomed and felt very welcome throughout the entire period.
We were also able to park our large bus directly next to the house, simply ideal.
The place is very well maintained and offers everything you need for dog sports - six full fields, hurdles and accessories - everything is available and in great condition. Agility fans will also get their money's worth here.
The surroundings invite you to go on great walks, Speckenbüttel Park is right across the street. There are plenty of shopping opportunities nearby.
We liked it so much that we have already booked our next summer vacation and it will certainly not be the last one!

Speckenbütteler Park in the Lehe district is one of the two large city parks in Bremerhaven, covering an area of 80 hectares Whether you take a look at the powder magazine from 1875, the 12-metre-high living willow castle, the rebuilt marshland house from 1973, the Bockwindmühle (windmill) built in 1984 according to an old model or the park gate from 1896, you will discover something interesting on every walk.
