At the edge of Speckenbütteler Park in Bremerhaven is the holiday apartment "Behind the Seven Mountains," located on the grounds of the German Shepherd Club.
For all dog sport enthusiasts, but also for dog owners in general, the holiday apartment on the club grounds offers everything a dog lover could wish for. For dog athletes, the grounds with its two training fields leave nothing to be desired. Both training fields can be used in full by our guests for training. If interested, it is possible to participate in the training sessions. These take place every Wednesday and Saturday.
The comfortably furnished accommodation is designed for 2 people, maximum 3 people, and offers 55 m² of living space, which includes a living room with sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with double bed (1.80 m wide), and a bathroom with bathtub.
There is also a kennel (for 1 dog) located behind the apartment on the property. This can be used free of charge by our tenants.
The grounds of the dog park, with its two training areas, offer enough space and variety for dog and owner.
A carport is available for your car directly on the premises next to the holiday apartment.

and/or the North Sea resort of Wremen. In Wremen, your two-legged and four-legged friends can enjoy a refreshment
the way back. This route is also ideal for walks.
The possibilities for walking and cycling are almost inexhaustible here.

Restful time allowed
We were at the Maritime Days in Bremerhaven and found an ideal accommodation for us here. From here, you can wonderfully start activities. But the park located right next door also invites you to take a walk. The holiday apartment is equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. The apartment offers enough space and is cozily furnished, and everything is well-maintained and clean. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful peace and on the hot days it was pleasantly cool in the apartment.
We will certainly be happy to return for our next stay in Bremerhaven.

We had a fantastic time!
At the end of July 2026, we were in Bremerhaven in the holiday apartment "Behind the Seven Mountains." The dogs loved it. We also trained agility and took long walks in the park (just a few steps from the entrance) in Speckenbüttel. We visited dog beaches, and the dogs enjoyed it the most: a hike through the mudflats at Wremen! The holiday apartment was equipped with all comforts and is located in a beautiful environment. A beautiful vacation
A lovely hello from East Frisia
We were able to enjoy a great week from July 22 to July 29, 2025, in a very beautiful... located in the Speckenbütteler Forest... very well-maintained... equipped with all comforts holiday apartment.
The property... of the German Shepherd Club... with holiday apartment is completely fenced... escape-proof for dogs... really great.
Training takes place there twice a week.
... our Paddy was allowed to participate in an agility training session... well... Practice makes perfect
The Speckenbütteler Forest offers a lot for young and old to get fit or stay fit.
There is no boredom for the children either. There is something for everyone to have fun.
A trip to the zoo by the sea is a must. We were thrilled. Dogs are allowed. We enjoyed the day at the zoo.
A big compliment to the members of the German Shepherd Club for the love and joy with which they train the dogs.
It was very nice to see... what and how they learn . .

Great holiday apartment
We spent very nice vacation days here, everything was perfect and nothing was missing. The landlords were very nice and helpful. We were able to use a kennel for our German Shepherd. All important household items were clean and available. We will definitely come back as the apartment is right next to or in the park. Ideal for a vacation with a dog.

Von hier aus kann man wunderbar Unternehmungen starten. Aber auch der direkt nebenan gelegene Park lädt zum Spazieren gehen ein.
Die Ferienwohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt benötigt. Die Wohnung bietet genügend Platz und ist gemütlich eingerichtet und alles ist gepflegt und sauber. Besonders haben wir die herrliche Ruhe genossen und an den heißen Tagen war es in der Wohnung angenehm kühl.
Sicher werden wir zu unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Bremerhaven gerne wiederkommen.
Die Ferienwohnung war mit allem Komfort ausgestattet und liegt in einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Kurz gesagt: Alle waren glücklich.

Wir durften vom 22.7.bis 29.7 2025 in einer sehr schönen... mitten im Speckenbütteler Wald gelegenen ....sehr gepflegten ..mit allem Komfort ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung eine tolle Woche genießen..
Das Grundstück.. des Schäferhundvereins ...mit Ferienwohnung ganz eingezäunt .. ausbruchsicher für Hunde.....ganz toll
Zweimal wöchentlich wird dort trainiert
..unser Paddy durfte an einer Üungsstunde Agility teilnehmen...na ja...Übung macht den Meister
Der Speckenbütteler Wald bietet für jung und alt sehr viel um fit zu werden oder bleiben
Auch bei den Kindern kommt keine Langeweile auf..Für jeden ist etwas dabei um Spass zu haben
Ein Ausflug zum Zoo am Meer darf nicht fehlen.. Wir waren begeistert .. Hunde sind erlaubt ..Wir haben den Tag im Zoo genossen..
Ein grosses Lob an die Mitglieder des Schäferhundvereins..mit wieviel Liebe und Freude sie die Hunde ausbilden..
Es war sehr schön zu sehen ....was und wie sie lernen ..

Die Ferienwohnung liegt direkt auf dem Hundeplatz, was natürlich perfekt für Hundesportler oder die, die es noch werden wollen ist. Sie ist wirklich geräumig, modern und mit Bedacht eingerichtet. Selbst mit zwei großen Hunden fühlten wir uns nicht eingeengt. Es ist alles vorhanden was man so braucht, so dass man sich schnell wie zu Hause fühlt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und fühlten während des ganzen Zeitraums sehr willkommen.
Auch unseren großen Bus konnten wir direkt am Haus parken, einfach ideal.
Der Platz ist sehr gepflegt und bietet auch alles was man so beim Hundesport braucht - volle sechs Reviere, Hürden und Zubehör - alles vorhanden und super in Schuss. Auch Agility Fans kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten.
Die Umgebung lädt zu tollen Spaziergängen ein, der Speckenbüttel Park ist genau gegenüber. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind reichlich in der Nähe vorhanden.
Da es uns so gut gefallen hat, haben wir direkt schon unseren nächsten Urlaub im Sommer gebucht und es wird sicherlich nicht der letzte sein!
Für Naturliebhaber und Hundebesitzer eine optimale Unterkunft.
Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder
Die Unterkunft liegt mega toll Mitten in der Natur. Ein großer Park direkt vor der Tür hat uns zwei Zweibeiner und zwei Vierbeiner zu langen Spaziergängen geradezu eingeladen. Einfach traumhaft die Umgebung.
Die Wohnung selbst ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Uns und unseren Hunden hat es an nichts gefehlt.
Auf der Terrasse die Sonne und Stille zu genießen war herrlich.
Und das der Hundeverein zweimal die Woche Training machte fanden wir super. Nach 3 Monaten hat unsere kleine verzogene Lissy und auch wir viel gelernt, Dank der Tipps der Trainerinnen.
Allen vom Verein dafür ein riesen Dankeschön.
Nach 3 Monaten war der Abschied echt ein Paar Tränen wert.
Wir können diese Ferienwohnung inklusive dem Verein einfach nur Jedem empfehlen.
Tolle Unterkunft, tolle Umgebung und mega toller Verein.
