Welcome to our artist's villa Kunsterbunt!
Our spacious house offers enough room for groups and larger families. In addition to the 5 bedrooms with double beds, you will find 2 more rooms with sofa beds for 2 additional people each. There is also a separate room for two children, which, due to the sloping roof, resembles a cave more than a room and is therefore something very special for the little ones.
Upstairs there are two shower bathrooms, one of them with a toilet. There is also a separate toilet upstairs and a guest WC on the ground floor. In the basement, our small wellness area is hidden, where you can relax after a day of skiing: you can choose between a sauna and an infrared cabin.
Our kitchen is equipped with everything you could wish for. Of course, you will find a dishwasher, oven, stove, and microwave here. The kitchen itself offers a dining table that easily accommodates families. For larger groups, the large dining table in the adjoining living room is ideal, from which there is also a beautiful view of the valley.
In the living room, in addition to our Swedish stove, which provides cozy warmth, there are enough seating and lounging options for the whole family: a wide sofa, a comfortable bench next to the stove, and our children's favorite: a hammock. From the living room you can also go directly into the garden, where you will also find tables and chairs, so that you can eat outside in the summer. Of course, we also have a grill.
In front of the house you will find a separate shed for your skis and the corresponding shoes. The driveway easily fits 3-4 cars, so arrival is no problem even for groups. The front door can be opened with a code, so you can enter the house independently of each other. WLAN is of course available.

Location and surroundings of object
Our Villa Kunterbunt is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. On two sides the property borders on neighbors, the other two sides are undeveloped and offer a view of the valley and the mountains. Since there is almost no car traffic here, the location is ideal for children. There is also a sports field behind the house, which is only used for training a few evenings a week. Therefore, it is usually nice and quiet here with us!
Behind the sports field already flows the Salzach River, which you can cross on the bridge five minutes away. There you will come across the bike path running parallel to the river, which will take you either in the direction of Krimml or Mittersill. You will also find some interesting hiking routes here.
In the other direction, you will reach the center of Mühlbach in five minutes: the small district of Bramberg offers a small supermarket and a bakery in the center. You will also find a few restaurants here. Also in this direction you will find many interesting hiking routes.
WINTER:
In winter you have the choice between two nearby attractive ski resorts: In Bramberg you will find the Smaragdbahn, which takes you to the Wildkogel Arena. The 75-kilometer ski area is particularly suitable for families and beginners, as it consists largely of blue and red slopes. In addition, in the Wildkogel Arena you will find the longest illuminated toboggan run in Europe (14 km).
In the other direction, you will find the Panoramabahn Kitzbüheler Alpen, which takes you to the southern end of the KitzSki area. A total of 234 km of slopes bring maximum fun in the snow there.
You can reach both lifts by car as well as by ski bus in about 5 minutes. The nearest ski bus stop is located directly on the main road and can be reached on foot from the house in 5-10.
In 5 minutes walk you can also reach the small train station of Mühlbach. From there, the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn takes you in winter to the ski area Zell am See (about an hour by train) as well as to Fürth near Kaprun, from where you can drive up to the glacier ski area Kitzsteinhorn.
Of course, you will also find a cross-country ski trail here, the nearest entrance is also only 600m from the house. From there you can run on a total of 30 km of prepared cross-country ski trail either in the direction of Krimml or Mittersill.
SPRING, SUMMER & AUTUMN
Also in the other seasons the village has a lot to offer: Directly adjacent to Mühlbach is the Hohe Tauern National Park, home to more than 300 three-thousand-meter peaks, 342 glaciers and the highest waterfalls in Austria. The many side valleys offer easy access to the national park, so that nothing stands in the way of exploring it even with small children. Nearby Mittersill is home to the National Park Worlds, a large national park center with a permanent exhibition about the ten different natural areas found in the Hohe Tauern. Perfect for a rainy day.
If the weather is good, a visit to the Krimmer Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Austria (about 20 minutes by car or alternatively by train) is a good idea
And of course you will also find a variety of hiking trails for every taste and ability. Many can be reached directly on foot from the house and thus allow a relaxed car-free vacation. For children, the Wildkogel Arena also offers some special features in summer: Such as the unique slide path (instead of walking just slide down) or the mountain cart track.
For all two-wheeler fans, Mühlbach also has a lot to offer: For example, the Tauern Cycle Path crosses the village and allows for a relaxing day trip to the Krimml Waterfalls or to Zell am See. And for a little more action, there are numerous mountain bike trails in the surrounding area.

A beautiful winter holiday
We stayed at Villa Kunsterbunt in February. The house is large and equipped with everything you need. The location is central and yet quiet. Cable cars and shopping facilities are easy and quick to reach. The contact with the landlady was very friendly and uncomplicated. Because of hurricane Sabine, we were even able to arrive the night before. We will gladly come back to Villa Kunsterbunt.

Super nice vacation in the Villa Kunterbunt
We had a really nice vacation. The house is wonderful, very well-maintained, and very well furnished. The surroundings are also very peaceful and rural. You can relax very well here. The contact with the landlady was always impeccable and very polite and nice. Absolutely recommendable. Always again gladly. Thank you.
