Description

Welcome, we are pleased about your interest in our holiday flat and would like to welcome you as guests in our house. From our quiet yet conveniently located holiday flat, you can reach the city centre on foot in around 25 minutes through the Gärtnerviertel, part of Bamberg's World Heritage Site. Alternatively, there are two bus lines about 150 metres away.
The university town of Bamberg with its old town, but also with the Gärtnerviertel, which is only a few minutes' walk from our house, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Bamberg is just as famous for the tradition of its breweries as for its world-famous cathedral and the diversity of its medieval and baroque old town. For theatre and music lovers, this and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra offer a rich programme. From our holiday flat you can explore the beauty of the city and discover Franconian Switzerland, Nuremberg, Würzburg, Coburg or the baroque architecture of Franconia in Banz Monastery, Vierzehnheiligen and Pommersfelden in excursions. The Obermain thermal baths in Bad Staffelstein invite you to relax. In the evening, you will find a variety of specialities in the rich gastronomic landscape around Bamberg.

Location and surroundings of object

You can reach our conveniently and quietly located holiday flat from the train station in ten minutes on foot or by bus (line 931 towards Kronacher Straße, 901 towards Gartenstadt) in two minutes (bus stop: Kloster-Banz-Straße). From there it is another 100 m to our house. You will recognise our house by the bakery shop with the red awnings. If you are travelling by car, you can reach Bamberg via the A 73 or the A 70. You can find the exact route using the route planner on our website (Directions). Free parking is available directly in front of our house. There is a children's playground 200 metres away. Visitors to Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be fascinated by the many facets of this city. As a \"mountain town\", Bamberg presents itself as the Franconian Rome, the \"island town\" is its lively centre. The \"Gärtnerstadt\" with its wide open spaces and the typical houses of this quarter is a unique urbanistic feature.

\Bamberg has been a bishopric town for a thousand years, and in the shopping town you can stroll through modern shops in a historical ambience. Every winter Bamberg is transformed into a "Nativity scene town" full of magic - the whole year round you will be enchanted in the magnificent "Baroque town" Bamberg. The "City of Culture" is internationally renowned Bamberg with the world-famous Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.

Butcher's shop, supermarket, photo shop, doctor and dentist and an Italian restaurant are in the immediate vicinity. The nearest bus stop (Kloster-Banz-Straße or Grafensteinstraße) in Zollnerstraße (lines 901 and 931 and night bus line 935) is a two-minute walk away. The night bus also stops here. From there it is only two or three stops to the train station or five minutes to the central bus station in the city centre.

Die Wohnung ist klein mit Dachschrägen, aber komplett eingerichtet. WLAN vorhanden.
