Description
We offer a wonderful holiday flat in Santa Margherita Ligure with every comfort and a view of the villas on the hillside towards San Lorenzo.
The flat has been family-owned since the beginning and is now available for rent after a complete renovation.
The flat is located on the 3rd floor (lift available) in a residential complex built at the end of the 1960s in the classic Ligurian style with Ligurian colours and classic façade decorations. It is located below the grounds of a former patrician villa (the "Villa Borghese").
The façades and roof were completely renovated in 2021/2022 and have now been restored to their original beauty.
The residential complex has a private road with private parking spaces, which are secured by a barrier. Tenants receive a radio remote control for the duration of their stay.
The largest supermarket in the village (Coop) is located right next to the residential complex and can be reached at ground level via an entrance and a lift.
On request, we can also provide a pasta machine (Marcato Wellness) with an electric motor so that you can make your own pasta at home.
On request, you can also use our inflatable kayak with paddles (including inflatable life jackets).
On request, we can provide a red Vespa 125cc motorbike with two helmets for the duration of your stay.

Only digital terrestrial Italian television can be received in the bedroom, in the living room there is also satellite reception (Astra) with German programmes.

There is a Sonos box (WLAN/Internet) in the living room and in the kitchen, with which you can listen to any radio and Internet radio stations.
The kitchen is equipped as follows:
- Comfortable armchair with pull-out bed for a single person (mattress 190x70x12 cm)
- Extendable former restored "Osteria" table with four chairs (another three matching chairs are in the living room)
- Samsung gas hob with 5 hobs (including one for a WOK)
- Extractor bonnet with automatic function
- Siemens electric oven with baking trays and accessories
- Large freezer/fridge combination from Liebherr (70cm) with three freezer drawers
- Washing machine
- "Nescafe Dolce Gusto" coffee capsule machine
- Sodastream with 3 glass bottles

- Spices, salt, sugar and everything you need for everyday life and cooking at your disposal

Location and surroundings of object
In Santa Margherita Ligure, Liguria, a picturesque coastal town in Italy.
The nearest (free) beach at the "Lido" is just under 10 minutes' walk away.
In summer (mid/late June to early September), a free bus ("corrierina del mare") runs to the (also partly free) beach resorts further away in the direction of Portofino/Paraggi (up to the "Covo di Nord Est") and back again. The nearest bus stop at Piazza San Siro is approx. 5-10 minutes away (accessible via the lift in the shopping centre).
We provide tenants with a detailed list of all bathing areas with descriptions, ratings and accessibility information.
The entrance to the world-famous "Monte Portofino" hiking area (which is also one of the most beautiful... I say this as someone who has been doing the trails countless times every year for almost 50 years and never gets tired) is directly below the flat (stairs up next to the supermarket). From there you can go on wonderful hikes in the almost century-old nature reserve - to Paraggi, Portofino, San Fruttuoso, San Rocco and Camogli.
You should reserve at least 3-4 days - a week is realistic ;-) if you want to do all the hikes.
The railway station in Santa Margherita/Portofino is about 10-15 minutes' walk away.
Travelling by train in Italy is very cheap.
From there you can reach e.g.
- Camogli/Rapallo in approx. 5 minutes (faster than by bus :-) )
- ... all other seaside resorts such as Zoagli, Sestri Levante, Moneglia ... in 10 - 30 minutes,
- Genoa in approx. 20 minutes,
- Cinque Terre in 40 minutes,
- La Spezia in approx. 60 minutes,
- Pisa in approx. 2 hours...
- ... and even Florence can be reached by train in approx. 4 hours...

A maximum of 300 GB/month via 4G is available, i.e. 75 GB/week. Experience has shown that this is enough for 8-10 hours of remote working with voice/video conferences every day, but NOT for hours of daily HD streaming via portals such as DAZN or similar.
