Description
Our lovingly furnished apartment in South Tyrolean style is made to feel good with large kitchen space for 10 people. The living room with wood paneling from the old farmhouse and farm stove is very cozy. The large bathroom has a bathtub and shower (towels provided), day Wc, 3 bedrooms (2 double rooms, one 3-4 bed room), large balcony with sitting area and view of the mountains. We also run a farm cheese dairy with South Tyrolean specialties

Location and surroundings of object
Our apartment is located in the center of Ahornach The ideal starting point for hikes in the Rieserferner Nature Park, Taufers Castle or to the waterfalls and more.In Sand in Taufers, where they can start right outside our front door with the bus, they have all kinds of stores to stroll or several coffee shops to spend a leisurely day. So you can also just leave your car behind. In Ahornach the southern influence of the climate prevails and we are especially protected that it often rains all around and stays dry here. The temperatures climb in March often already up to 15 degrees and in May it becomes even often already 25 degrees Celsius. The summer temperatures usually remain until the end of September. Even in winter it is a paradise. It can snow heavily but the roads are always clear. It is difficult to say when is the best time to visit Ahornach, because every season has its charm, but autumn is especially beautiful.
Also we have with the apartment a southwest location where around the house is the whole day sun. In spring it is particularly beautiful because in the valley floor the fog lingers and with us the sun shines
In summer the haymaking with fresh smelling hay all around and the blossom splendor of the mountain meadows and the great weather for the hikes,
In autumn, the Almabtrieb and the colorful leaves ideal for hiking
In winter the snow and the well prepared ski slopes and also the Christmas markets have their special flair.
For many years, South Tyrol's agriculture has shaped a unique and diverse cultural landscape. It is the basis for relaxation and recreation.
The farm is the best place to get to know the life of the farming family and its traditions and customs in an unadulterated form.
Tradition is the motto of our house and Roland will gladly tell you how it used to be in his childhood. The central location
of the vacation apartment has of course some advantages:
- the tourist office Sand in Taufers can be reached by bus (which stops in front of our house) in a good 10 minutes. Here you can get a lot of information and numerous tips to make your vacation in the Pustertal interesting and varied. In addition, you will also receive all information about the various guest cards.
- For shopping you can go to Sand in Taufers to the grocery stores or buy milk, butter and cheese and eggs at our farm store. Despar supermarket with South Tyrolean specialties and bakery with fresh bread and various baked goods and also the butcher shop with high quality meat products can be found in the center of Sand in Taufers.
- From our farm there is also an idyllic hiking trail to Sand in Taufers where you can return comfortably by bus.
- Pharmacy and doctor are close to the bus station in Sand in Taufers
- for shopping there are some nice stores with a great selection of shoes, leather goods, sports and traditional costume fashion and much more
- Directly at the paraglider landing site is the swimming pool with sauna and coffee house with terrace where of course also directly in front of the bus stop is located
Due to the mild climate, a wide variety of herbs grow and flourish here in their most beautiful form. Especially Mediterranean herbs such as basil, sage, rosemary, etc. add the necessary spice to the prepared dishes

Our vacation apartment in Ahornach is modern and rustic, comfortably and above all cozily furnished, anxious to provide you with as familiar an atmosphere as possible. We have a very spacious balcony, actually almost a terrace with 15 square meters and a cozy sitting area and large parasol.
Here you can enjoy your vacation days with a view of the beautiful mountains.
The apartment is equipped with tiles and wooden floors and floor heating in the bathroom to create a cozy ambience.
Our apartment is new and has been furnished with great attention to detail, so we ask you to be careful with the furnishings and equipment.
The kitchen

Our spacious bathroom
is equipped with bathtub, shower, bidet, toilet, towel warmer and floor heating.
In the day WC
is the toilet a urinal and a sink.
Room 1:
the lovingly furnished room has a double bed, a spacious wardrobe,access to the terrace and a beautiful view of the mountains.
Room 2:
has 2 single beds and spacious closet with a view of the mountains
Room 3:
The wooden double bed was carpentered by farmer Roland himself and the box is still an heirloom of old farmer Franz. There is also a pull-out couch where 2 guests could sleep.
We are happy to offer you our farm products such as homemade jams, flower salts, syrup, butter, herb butter, cheese, fresh cow's milk, eggs from our chickens.
All this you can get in our farm store at Claudia.
Towels and bed linen are provided upon arrival
We ask you to handle them with care.
A washing service is available for our guests. Leave the desired clothes in the morning in front of Claudia's door and let her know. In the evening you can hang the washed clothes on the clothes horse on your terrace

A special feature in the parlor is the old ceiling from our old farmhouse and the farm stove that provides cozy warmth
The couch is extendable for 2 people to sleep and also on the stove bench someone can still sleep comfortably.
In the cold season you can ask Claudia to heat it for you. Wood for this (the cockroach) is of course provided by us. The pictures in the parlor are once Altbauer Franz at Hotel Moosmair on Sunday after church and above the TV the "Stocker Tondl" the long shepherd with us in the Jagdhausalm was. From the kitchen, the parlor and bedroom 1 you have direct access to the terrace.

Beautiful flat, super hosts!
The flat is clean, very spacious and comfortably furnished. We spent a lovely holiday there
Eggs, fresh milk and cheese can even be bought on site. Great service!

We, Roland and Claudia Eder run our farm with farm cheese dairy. We have 10 dairy cows, 15 hens, 1 dog, 3 cats and 5 pigs. We are farmers by conviction and with a lot of love for the animals. We live at 1300 meters in Ahornach the home of extreme mountaineer Hans Kammerlander and enjoy every day the wonderful surroundings with the Ahrntal mountains.
