We were already in the area, and after contact with the owner we could come earlier, the accommodation was perfectly clean and complete. The property is in terms of bedrooms / bathrooms fine for 12 people but the living room / kitchen, we found a bit on the small side. (Travelling party 6 adults and 6 children). Personally, I think it is too small for 12 adult, but make the pool and sauna a lot. Water was clean (salt water) and good temperature. The setting is beautiful and there is lots to do visit dam, ride in the steam train, visit mines, walk over the rocks and if there is snow skiing or sledding. The villages and towns in the area are fun and lots to do.

A very wonderful house! We were 8 adults, 4 children and a dog as a guest - it all fit perfectly. The swimming pool was the highlight for the kids. The garden and the grill station were used by preference! The house is clean and equipped with everything necessary (only we have a hair dryer missing) .Very recommended.

The pool and sauna were used daily, the pool could have been a bit warmer for some, the sauna heats up very quickly. The Wi-Fi is great and fast. Since the house is described as luxurious, we had a few other ideas. For us would be luxurious, for example, thermostatic faucets in the showers, toilet seats with soft close and new mirror cabinets, etc. There are 4 double beds declared, these have not been for us, as there were single beds pushed together. A toilet in the spa would be great, but not possible for reasons of space. A second lounge would also be ideal with a second TV and seating for board games, this could perhaps be in the basement. The stairs should be secured for children with a grid. The mattresses of the beds could be a little higher and more comfortable, as you will not be able to please everyone. The duvets and pillows are down, this should be in the description of the house, as they are not suitable for allergy sufferers. The kitchen we found for this large house, for 12 people, relatively poorly stocked. The cutlery could be renewed, there were no sharp knives, the stove is not suitable for the size of the house, because the plates are very small and the pots too big. In the parking lot of the house can have a maximum of 3 cars, this should be mentioned in the note text, as the parking next door is subject to charges and there are no other possibilities. This is complain about a high level, but because the house was so well rated and some awards we had hoped for a little more.

Liked that there were three showers, no one walked together in the way. the house was bright and clean. In the kitchen there was everything we needed and the pool and sauna were an added bonus. The house is situated in the beautiful Harz mountain range, where within half an hour more than enough to do and was experiencing. We are on the steam train from Elend to Wernigerode gone. very nice! All in all we are very positive about this property and we have had nice days!

All equipment in the house (such as refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, oven) is fairly new and everything is neat and clean. The place Elend is a small town and nothing to do. There are beautiful hiking trails and close to the holiday is the famous steam train several times a day along. About 5 km away is the village Braunlage and there you have restaurants and supermarkets etc. Overall it is a must but do not expect to end up in a bustling town.

The swim was a success but the pool itself was dangerous the floor tiles were slippery and dangerous water gathered on a sloped surface. The fridge could not be closed properly was there for the whole week was a linen towel available on a bed full of stains so the ratio of cost versus quality was very lopsided.
