The detached cottage is an old natural stone rustico and has been renovated and newly furnished for personal use. With about 55 sqm, it is suitable for families with up to 2 children. It is located on the southern edge of the village in a very quiet and sunny spot in the ancient mountain village of Orasso (700m), 15 km up the valley from Cannobio on Lake Maggiore. From the terrace (15 sqm) on the left and the covered balcony on the right south side, there is an unobstructed and wide view up and down the valley over the Cannobina Valley, towards the mountains of the Val Grande National Park. The house radiates peace and harmony, and at the same time, the entire interior is designed to be very practical. In the living room there is a dining table with four wicker chairs, a period-style desk, a comfortable sofa bed (for two people), leather armchairs, satellite TV and a radio with CD player, as well as a large selection of CDs, games, hiking maps, and books. In the upstairs room there is a double bed, a loft bed, 2 leather armchairs, and wardrobes for hanging clothes. The kitchen contains a three-burner gas stove, kettle, mini oven, kitchen buffet, serving table, sideboard with marble top, several shelves for dishes (for 4 people). The bathroom is equipped with a shower, washing machine, and radiant heater. Heating is mainly and effectively provided by the wood-burning stove in the center of the living area (with wood briquettes). Additional warmth is supplied by a catalytic heater. On the terrace next to the house, which is covered by a grapevine pergola, there are wooden garden furniture. But you can also eat on the covered balcony in front of the kitchen area and at the same time enjoy the landscape.

From the house, very well-marked and maintained hiking trails lead in all directions. In particular, as a small alternative to Lake Maggiore, you can reach a romantically situated, sunny bathing spot on the Orasso stream in a 20-minute walk. In contrast, above the village you reach a beautiful alpine pasture, where as a special attraction you will find a fully functional giant swing, on which you can experience the feeling of floating into the sky. Excursions also lead to the towns and hiking trails in the nearby Vigezzo and Centovalli valleys (Ticino). Above all, however, Lago Maggiore is of course a magnet, with Cannobio offering a well-kept beach with shady meadows, as well as a lakeside promenade with many restaurants. Orasso lies on the slopes of the romantic, partly deeply incised Cannobina Valley, which is traversed by a narrow, little-traveled road, from which further access roads branch off to the mountain villages scattered on the slopes. The house and the entire Cannobina Valley are, above all, an invitation to anyone who finds relaxation while hiking in the seclusion of the mountains, but also to all those seeking a quiet vacation spot from which to explore a culturally and scenically attractive region (also in winter). The house is located just under 200m behind the piazza at the entrance to the village, on the way to the church with its 800-year-old bell tower. There is also a shop and a restaurant at the piazza.
