Your newly built and high quality holiday home equipped in Scandinavian style for your dream vacation on the Baltic Sea. Watch the hustle and bustle of the sailors on the fjord and the play of light from sea and sky in all weather conditions. Swim in the Baltic Sea morning, noon and evening. Enjoy the beach and the garden with or without children, which offer plenty of space to relax or play.

180 degree sea view of the Kiel Fjord with its many sailing boats and large ships, the sandy beach right in front of the house and a fantastic garden with around 900 square meters - you will find this in the exclusive Haus Frohsinn. Directly on the coast, within walking distance of the Schilksee Olympic harbor, restaurants and shops (open also on Sundays in the season) and yet in a quiet location.

Depending on the weather, time of day and taste, you can enjoy the seating and dining options on the two large terraces (sea and garden side) as well as in the fully glazed bay window with a view of the lake.

Five beds (bedroom with double bed, bedroom with bunk bed and a sofa bed in the living area). Two large terraces (lake and garden side). High-quality fitted kitchen with induction hob, Miele refrigerator with 0 degree zone, dishwasher and microwave. Very spacious living and dining area with high beamed ceiling and extendable dining table. Modern daylight bathroom with floor-level rain shower, large tiles and washing machine. Underfloor heating and a fireplace for cozy evenings (even in the rougher seasons). Outdoor shower to rinse off the sand from the beach. Two own parking spaces. Non smoking apartment. Every now and then, treat yourself to some sea.

The accommodation, the garden, and the location made our departure difficult. The promenade running directly behind the house did not bother us; only nice people passed by. A photo motif, on the other hand, was always the neighboring house SCHIPPERSRUH. The dog beach is just a wonderful walk away. Whether walking left to STRANDE or right to FALKENSTEINER STRAND, it was simply great. We went out to eat every day, and everything here was top-notch as well. The homemade ice cream at EL MÖWENSCHISS must be tried by everyone. Upon arrival, the beds were already made THANK YOU. We visited our children who live in Kiel. We will always use this accommodation for our visits now, when available. Thank you once again to the owner for allowing a second dog in the house. What a beautiful legacy. We will come back and say goodbye until then.

A cozy place to relax

We were very excited and had a wonderful vacation. The beach is right at the doorstep, so we could go ice swimming as well as jogging by the sea. The house is equipped to a high standard and was much larger than we expected. The kitchen has everything you need, so you can really cook and bake well. Very lovingly furnished - we felt very comfortable! One just has to know that the house is located on the promenade - people regularly pass by, but that didn't bother us, and the house also has a great garden and seating both in front and at the back, if one wants to eat outside, for example. Thank you very much for allowing us to spend our vacation with you!

Great vacation home!

We stayed in the holiday home from 19.08. to 02.09.2023 and were completely satisfied! The pictures on the website match the reality perfectly. The apartment is very clean. We could not tell at all that dogs are welcome there because of dog hair, everything was very clean. If we choose Kiel again as a holiday destination, we hope that this holiday home will be available and therefore bookable.

Rest and relaxation are guaranteed!

We are so excited that we have already booked the Frohsinn holiday home for our vacation for the third time. Not only is the location almost perfect if you love the sea, but the surrounding villages also invite you to marvel and relax.

On clear starry nights, the garden offers breathtaking views of the Milky Way and the night sky.

Not only the different sailing boats or the large cruise ships provide excitement, but inevitably also the naval port. Here you can play detective and go on a discovery tour.

With a lot of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of a submarine or hear a cruise ship play a familiar melody.

Thanks to the loving design and equipment, you can switch off internally and let your soul dangle.

Last but not least, we can only thank Mrs. Rodrian for the uncomplicated and friendly communication and are already looking forward to our next vacation in Schilksee.

Everything our heart desires!

This is the second time we have stayed in this wonderful holiday home, which leaves nothing to be desired. Modern, tasteful and minimalist, but still cosy and fully equipped
The highlight is certainly the direct location on the sea and the beautiful view over the sea from the living and dining room; no matter whether it is sunny or rainy

A wonderful week in a great holiday home!

It doesn't get much better than this!
Superbly equipped house with storage facilities for bicycles.
Modern kitchen.
2 terraces!
One with a view of the sea. The other one to the big garden.
Location 1A
Perfect for holidays with dog.
Many bicycle tours started from there.
Very good shopping facilities, bakery and restaurants within walking distance.

Holiday home to feel good

The house leaves nothing to be desired and we enjoyed the view of the fjord from the terrace, especially during Kiel Week. If we wanted more privacy or depending on the position of the sun, we moved to the rear terrace. The description and pictures are 100% accurate and we spent two great weeks in Schilksee. The house is furnished with attention to detail and you can tell that the owners spend time there themselves. For us, the holiday would only have been more relaxed if the property had also been separated from the neighbouring property by a fence, as we could then have let the dog run free; however, we already knew this before arrival

We had a fantastically beautiful weekend

We were very positively surprised by the location of the property. The view from the living room window is unique and dreamlike. You live right on the beach and have everything right on your doorstep. After enjoying northern Germany's best fish sandwich and walking along the promenade, we could end the days perfectly in the house or on the sunny terrace. The furnishings are of high quality and tasteful. Contact with the landlady was easy and always friendly. We will be very happy to come back.

Comfortable cosiness with cheerfulness at Fördestrand

the name of the house, "Frohsinn" (cheerfulness), was already programmed when entering the large garden. The joy increased even more when we entered the pretty little house with its unobstructed view through the large veranda windows of the wide Kiel Fjord, from Strande to Laboe
The well thought-out, tasteful furnishings and good technical equipment left nothing to be desired. It was always cosy and warm inside with the underfloor heating and the oak parquet flooring, even though it was freezing and stormy outside - at least when we arrived. At the same time, it was very light and airy - probably because of the many windows and the generous room height - the best climate to relax and unwind

During afternoon coffee with spontaneous sunshine on the terrace in the windbreak of the house, it almost became spring. It's just good when nature and discreet luxury go together so closely to let mind and soul dangle
In the evenings, by the cosy glowing fire of the well-heated fireplace stove, we enjoyed daydreaming while the Bülk lighthouse and the fairway buoys flashed in the window from afar.

Now in winter, the garden was too open for us. But it will be nice in summer, when everything is fully planted and well overgrown. Then, instead of lying on the beach after a swim, you can retire peacefully to a lounger in the quiet garden or play a game of badminton or kubb on the large open lawn
We would certainly like to come back again soon.

Best view in any weather!

Haus Frohsinn is fantastically located right by the beach, with a wide view over the sea. In the private garden, you have peace and quiet, but in a few minutes, you can also reach the Olympic port with everything you need for supplies. The house has been freshly renovated with all the comforts, a great kitchen, modern bathroom, WiFi, etc. We enjoyed our time with sea baths, walks, and evenings by the fireplace and will definitely come back! A thousand thanks!

Idyll with comfort

We were the first guests in this completely renovated holiday home. It is located directly on the Baltic Sea on the steep coast and this year you could enjoy the quiet time over Christmas and New Year's Eve with underfloor heating and a fireplace. With the bright winter weather and the view of a few New Year's Eve rockets, it was the purest idyll. And the house is very comfortably equipped and very cosy and tasteful. So we would like to come here again in winter.

The house stands on a plot of land that my great-grandfather bought in 1920 in "Bad Schilksee" directly on the coast, when this became the summer resort of Kiel society. Since then, like the neighbouring house "Schippers Ruh", it has been in the family and has already provided us and many guests with wonderful stays.
