Plenty of space for unforgettable family holidays high above Lake Constance (for up to 10 people)
We have lovingly furnished our bright and cosy house in a unique location in a family-friendly way. The garden with a wide view over the hills of the Appenzellerland invites you to a relaxed aperitif under the cherry tree, while the children find enough space to let off steam. If the weather is not quite so cooperative, there is still the veranda or the sunny eat-in kitchen with a large dining table. There is also a spacious living room on the ground floor with a view of the lake and a parlour that can also be converted into a bedroom
On the first floor there are two large bedrooms with balcony access and a smaller one with morning sun, all equipped with a double bed or two single beds that can be put together. In addition, there is a children's paradise in the attic with four stackable beds and plenty of space to play and romp around.
The many friendly rooms and the large garden with veranda offer enough privacy for a relaxing holiday even for two or three families. Our house is also particularly suitable for multi-generational meetings or holidays.

Many simply like to enjoy the unique view for days on end - but some are also drawn to get out of the garden.
Fortunately, everyone gets their money's worth here: hiking enthusiasts and adventurers as well as those interested in culture or the aforementioned friends of cultivated relaxation.
There is a lot to discover in the near or far surroundings!
HIKING
Directly from the front door you stumble, so to speak, onto the well-known Witzwanderweg (joke hiking trail), which introduces interested hikers to the subtlety of the proverbial Appenzell humour (fortunately with a German translation!). In general, the Appenzeller Vorderland is a beautiful hiking area with always surprising new views over the next hill - and all the while, far below, lies the shining silver mirror of the lake. Some of the most beautiful hiking trails pass almost directly by the house.
If you want to go higher, take a day trip to the nearby Alpstein. Or straight to the Grisons, the Flumserberge or the Vorarlberg Alps (all can be reached by car in about an hour, by public transport it is also possible, but usually takes a little longer).
BICYCLE TOURS
The nearby Lake Constance and the beautiful hilly landscape of Appenzell offer wonderful opportunities for numerous bike tours. If you don't want to go uphill, you can take the train with your bike from Rorschach to Heiden or from Rheineck to Walzenhausen.
CULTURE
The historic island town of Lindau, Bregenz with its lake festival and the world-famous monastery
or the world-famous monastery with the Abbey Library in St. Gallen.
WINTER SPORTS
In winter, the charming ski lift in Heiden should be visited at least once! Otherwise, several family-friendly ski resorts are within an hour's drive: Malbun, Flumser Berge or Flims/Laax.
FAMILY HOLIDAYS
Even when the kids have had enough of running around in the garden and the surrounding hills, it certainly won't be boring!
From the monkey rock in Salem to a boat trip across the lake or a visit to the climbing park in Jakobsbad... Heidiland is also not far away at all.
BAD WEATHER
can also happen in these latitudes..
For adults, there is the sauna in the Kurhotel Heiden and alternatively the larger thermal baths in Bad Ragaz. If you want more action, you're sure to find it in the Säntispark near Abtwil!
For those interested in culture, there is of course the Abbey Library and other museums in St. Gallen.

We are three siblings who grew up on this special "Fleckli". The unbelievably wide view over the lake made us curious about the world from an early age and perhaps ultimately lured us into the distance. However, we are still attached to this enchanting piece of earth and in the meantime this great family place has already grown close to the hearts of the third generation. So it seemed like a good idea to make our house accessible to other people and to be able to use it ourselves with our families from time to time. Accordingly, we have designed it personally and lovingly: It should not be just any holiday home, but simply a favourite place. We would be happy if you feel as comfortable here as we do. A little warning in advance: Who knows, maybe after a wonderful holiday you will take this spot of earth so much to your heart that you will want to come back again and again! that you will want to come back again and again!
