Recreation or home office. Minimum stay: 1 week; long-term booking up to approx. max. 2 months possible The mountain hut/holiday home, designed for 1-5 people, is located on a small ridge at 1300m and is furnished with great attention to detail. A small but fine kitchen and a living/dining area with a pellet stove that conjures up ambience with firelight in the evenings. The secluded 30 sqm sun terrace with a dream view of the surrounding mountains, which are often covered with snow until June, is directly accessible from the WZ. A deck chair, sun lounger are available Upstairs there is a double bed in a large open area with a sofa overlooking mountains & starry sky through the large picture window and a cosy extra room with two single beds. Children love the hidden room as it is accessed through a box (wardrobe). Under the sloping roof there is another "sleeping cave" for 1-2 persons. Heating and electricity supply by solar system are climate neutral. Children can experience nature up close, directly in the forest or at the nearby stream. All shopping facilities and doctors can be reached by car in about 15 minutes in the Murtal. Gourmets get their money's worth: In the proximity there are several restaurants with hood kitchen, e.g. in the castles Farrach and Gabelhofen as well as the world champion confectionery Regner in monastery place Seckau. with thefor €75/€35 free entrance with 162 trip goals in the value of €1,600. further equipment: WLAN, shower/WC, stove, refrigerator&TK compartment, pellet stove, grill with cast iron grate, TV (z.Z. only with laptop/streaming), parking in front of the house, non-smoking house, dogs are welcome, non-smoking house Cancellation is free of charge, if wg. political Corona restrictions an arrival is not possible.(if your county/city are closed, or that of the holiday home). We are happy about inquiries from sympathetic, friendly and reliable people who are looking for relaxation. We love to party too, but this would be the wrong place. Our house is not in a rental colony, we have known each other appreciate our neighbors for years, so we ask that you be courteous to all. :-). We are a Viennese family we live in Oldenburg. -------------------------- further information: Our house is situated at the "Römerweg", a very old trade route. Today you can still see the horse carriage tracks in the rock. In order to reach the Gasthof Stüblergut, a fortified farm from the 14th century, which is worth seeing, you hike 45min from the house over alpine pastures on this fairytale path, in order to be spoiled at the end with Austrian delicacies from a star chef! And every weekend there is the "Rauchkuchlschmaus", a big buffet with Austrian cuisine. Visit the Lippizaner on their summer pasture, the Hundertwasser church in Bärnbach, the star tower in Judenburg, the events on the Red Bull Formula 1 Ring, the silver mine Oberzeiring or the UNESCO world heritage city Graz with cultural offers and southern flair.
Families with children and sports enthusiasts can let off steam with many activities: Gaberl ski area (ski school), horseback riding, mountain biking, summer toboggan run, Aqualux Therme, indoor playground, Wipfelwanderweg, Murtalradweg, outdoor pool, bathing lake, golf, and much more. Short trip completely decelerated
The cottage was perfectly located for our trip. We wanted relaxation and that's what we got. The house is incredibly well equipped and very clean. You can start hiking directly from the house or use the car if you want to explore another region. The homeowner is very friendly and supportive over the phone for any questions or concerns. A very cute Alpine hut
So this vacation was extraordinary from the beginning – it started with the booking: the landlord is extraordinarily nice and accommodating. Even before arrival, we received all necessary information about equipment, arrival, best route, surroundings, excursion destinations, etc. so there are no wishes left unfulfilled here! The landlord always has an open ear and is always reachable. The alpine hut is super cute furnished and has everything you need. The location is uniquely beautiful... A vacation and relaxation from the beginning. We will definitely come back! Thank you! ❤️

Beautiful and cozy cottage.
"We were two people staying in the house for 11 nights and were more than satisfied! It is very beautiful, cozy, and the view is incredible! We enjoyed our time very much and would love to come back. Shopping facilities, restaurants, small farm shops and hiking opportunities are easily accessible. The contact with the most dedicated host we have ever experienced was perfect, thanks again Peter! Holidays in Austrian mountains
We are mountains lovers loving relaxing in calm areas so we chose opportunity out of main season and we loved it. We appreciated we had basic needed things at the house, there is a balcony with great view (also at night), fresh air, nature but also it is easily accessible by car. Owner of the house is really helpful and friendly (we appreciated his advices as it was last minute time off). We will consider to come back.

Great ski holiday in Styria
We spent a wonderful, cosy family holiday in the mountain hut, which we will remember for a long time!

An unforgettable holiday
My children and I had a great time in the cottage. The panoramic view from the window and the closet room for the children as well as the cosy fireplace were our highlights. You can get to the ski lift in a few minutes and go for a nice walk along the Römerweg. The hut is very cosy, well equipped and the host is always available. Thanks for the great tips! We will definitely be back.

Pure nature in a beautiful quiet location
Very cosy cottage, equipped with everything you need. Especially the pellet stove makes it nice and cosy in the cold season. Great view from the terrace! Everything was clean and the landlord is very friendly and uncomplicated. The immediate surroundings are perfect for hiking, running, etc.. Ski resorts and a thermal spa are also within easy reach. All in all, it was a very nice stay, I enjoyed the quiet time and will gladly come back

Simply beautiful!
Even the contact with the landlord before arrival was super nice!
We immediately felt very comfortable when we arrived! There was everything your heart desires! You can feel in the details how much heart is in this hut! The tips were great. The time was far too short ;-) All in all, these were unforgettably beautiful days! We will be back, for sure!

Time out in the mountains
The house in the mountains was just what we needed to switch off. Peter was a hit as a host and was very helpful at all times. The pellet stove sweetened the cold days for us. The children were thrilled.

11 wonderful days in the middle of nature
Small but very cute, cosy cottage in a great location with a huge terrace. Arrive, get out, feel good, relax.... We found the experience of solar power in the house and the lovely furnishings, which leave almost nothing to be desired, particularly fascinating. The pellet stove in the living room provided a cosy warmth. For us as a couple it was super!
We often sat on the terrace and watched the starry sky or the clouds rising from the valley. The roaring of the deer (rutting season) was an extraordinary background noise. We also explored many beautiful forest/hiking trails in the surrounding area. A great highlight was also the delicious "Rauchkuchlschmaus" in the nearby Stüblergut, a day trip to Graz and a treetop hike in Rachau.
The contact with the landlord was really nice and we would love to come again.

Cosy Getaway
A quiet location, a fantastic view and the pleasant warmth of the pellet stove make the mountain hut the perfect destination for a cosy getaway for two.
The hut is equipped with everything you need. And if you sit on the terrace at night in autumn, with a bit of luck you can hear the roaring deer in rut.
It's a nice feeling to be so close to nature.

Comfortably furnished, spacious upper floor, the cabinet in the box an experience for children.

Pure relaxation
I had a wonderful time in this wonderful accommodation. ABSOLUTE peace and quiet, wonderful!
The landlord gave me lots of hints and tips, which made my holiday even more enjoyable. The decor of the house is simple but beautiful and with great attention to detail! The best thing :)..., the oven and the huge terrace with a magnificent view!
