Our stylish vacation home is located in the hiking village and climatic health resort Puchberg am Schneeberg at about 600m above sea level.
It has three bedrooms (1-6 people), two with double beds and one with two single beds, and a 30 sqm sun terrace with a wonderful view of the Schneeberg. A living and dining area, a kitchen with extensive equipment, and two modern bathrooms make the house a place of enjoyment and relaxation. All rooms are comfortably furnished with attention to detail. The house has 130m2.
Countless easy hiking trails and high mountain tours are directly in front of the door, as well as since the 19th century, Austria's longest cog railway, which still takes you to the peak with steam locomotives today. Minimum rental period: 7 nights; Preferred arrival or departure day is a Saturday.
Quaint mountain huts invite you to linger, and gourmets will delight in excellent Austrian cuisine at local inns, award-winning restaurants, or at a Heuriger in the famous wine town of Gumpoldskirchen.
Supermarkets, bakeries, a pharmacy, an outdoor pool, butchers, and doctors are located in the immediate vicinity. Arrival is also possible by train to Puchberg; Vienna airport is only an hour away, and rental cars are available from about €180/week with timely booking.
Families with children and recreational athletes will enjoy mountain climbing, mountain biking, mountain carts, climbing, sailing, skiing, ski courses, hang-gliding, or Puchi's children's land. Many personalities have talked about this place: Emperor Franz Josef spent much time here hunting and with his family. Sigmund Freud once hiked on the Rax through Thörlweg. Arthur Schnitzler fell in love at the Thalhof with the innkeeper Olga Waissnix, and Stefan Zweig captured the Fin de Siècle atmosphere of the imperial era in the novel "Burning Secret" at the Grandhotel Panhans on the Semmering. Rudolf Steiner created memories of his childhood in this beautiful region. Marvel at the Semmering Railway, the first mountain railway in Europe from 1854 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Outstanding in all respects
We, four adults and two dogs, were in this wonderful house for a week in September 25 for hiking and relaxing. Directly from the house, there is the possibility to take various tours. Depending on taste, easy, medium, or even difficult tours, or shorter and also longer ones. The house itself is located about 1 km outside of Puchberg in a small very quiet settlement. It is very cozy and well-equipped, everything is clean and has a large terrace where you can unwind and relax after a strenuous hike. There are plenty of shopping options in Puchberg and also very good dining. However, for those who prefer to eat in the countryside, there are already very good restaurants and hotel restaurants just 5 to 6 km away. And what must be mentioned is the extremely friendly owner. Get in touch and you will be helped with advice and action.
We all felt very comfortable and the dogs enjoyed it too. Due to the quiet location, it is also ideal for dogs.
We can definitely recommend this holiday home with the best knowledge and conscience. It leaves nothing to be desired.

Beautiful retreat
A totally sympathetic landlord, always reachable for various inquiries.
A super equipped accommodation - you can tell that the landlord also likes to vacation here, it is lovingly furnished and comprehensively equipped.
We - a family of 4 - were here for a week together with grandparents and had enough space and retreat due to the good layout of the house, including the large terrace.
The surroundings offer a lot for active nature lovers. The swimming pool in Puchberg is small but full of charm and totally great for very hot days.
We are planning to come again, as everything worked out very well!

Pure relaxation....
We spent a wonderful time in this well-equipped holiday home.
The evenings by the stove will stay in our memories for a long time. The bathtub in the upper floor bedroom is another highlight that we also found very beautiful.
Despite the terrible weather, we had a wonderful vacation in the house.
It's also worth mentioning the super helpful and friendly neighborhood.

Das Haus selbst liegt etwa 1 km außerhalb von Puchberg in einer kleinen sehr ruhigen Siedlung. Es ist sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet, alles sauber und hat eine große Terrasse, auf der man nach einer anstrengenden Wanderung ausspannen und relaxen kann.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Puchberg genügend und auch sehr gute Gastromie. Wer allerdings lieber mal auf dem Land was Essen möchte, für den gibt es bereits in 5 bis 6 km Entfernung sehr gute Restaurants und Hotelrestaurants. Und was noch unbedingt erwähnt werden muss, ist der überaus freundliche Eigentümer. Kontakt aufnehmen und dir wird mit Rat und Tat geholfen.
Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt und auch den Hunden hat es gefallen. Durch die ruhige Lage ist es auch ideal für Hunde.
Wir können dieses Ferienhaus auf alle Fälle mit besten Wissen und Gewissen empfehlen. Es lässt einfach keine Wünsche offen.
Eine super ausgestattete Unterkunft - man merkt, dass der Vermieter hier gerne auch selber urlaubt, sie ist liebevoll eingerichtet und umfassend ausgestattet.
Wir - eine 4-köpfige Familie - waren hier eine Woche auch gemeinsam mit Großeltern und hatten auf Grund des guten Schnitts des Hauses genug Platz und Rückzugsort inkl. der großen Terrasse.
Die Umgebung bietet viel für aktive Naturliebende.
Das Schwimmbad in Puchberg ist klein aber voller Charm und total super für sehr heiße Tage.
Wir planen mal wieder zu kommen, da alles sehr gut gepasst hat!
Die Abende an dem Kaminofen werden uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Die Badewanne im oberen Stock im Schlafzimmer ist ein Highlight das wir ebenfalls super schön fanden.
Wir haben in dem Haus, trotz mega schlechtem Wetter, einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbracht.
Auch zu erwähnen ist eine super hilfreiche und freundliche Nachbarschaft.
Für Familien mit Kind und Hund sehr zu empfehlen!

Freitag abends ausgesucht und nach einem ausführlichen Gespräch mit Herrn Klement am Samstag Vormittag sofort gebucht .
Für mich klang alles zu schön um wahr zu sein.
Aber Herr Klement hat nicht zu viel versprochen .
Das Ferienhaus ist einfach super . Wir sind angekommen und haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt.
Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, was für mich super war , da ich mein Essen Größtenteils selbst zubereiten muss.
Salatschleuder, scharfe Messer, gute Töpfe und Pfannen, Küchenwaage , Mixstab, Rührgerät. Genügend Geschirr und Tassen.
Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt .
Es gab sogar ein Tiefkühlfach fürs Hundefutter.
Die Terrasse war auch super und gemütlich mit Blick auf den Schneeberg.
Und dann kamen noch die vielen tollen Tipps von Herrn Klement dazu. So konnten wir unseren spontanen Urlaub mit null Vorbereitung super gestalten.
Auch die Tage an denen wir im Haus geblieben sind , um uns etwas auszuruhen , waren toll, da man genug Möglichkeiten hat es sich gemütlich zu machen.
Die Lage des Hauses ist Tip top. Es ist nicht viel Verkehr und Ausflugsziele sind auch gut zu erreichen .
Die Terasse ist auch sehr groß... im Sommer kann man sich hier auch öfters/länger aufhalten als im Winter. Ein kleiner Wanderweg, der vom Haus weg Richtung Schneeberg führt bietet sich für Spaziergänge an, vorbei an einen kleinen Bauernhof, und Koppeln, wo man auch Kühen, Schafen, Pferden und Ziegen "Hallo" sagen kann ;-) Der Hund war für eine kleine Gebühr auch Willkommen. Vielen Dank für die angenehme Auszeit!
Peter ist der beste Gastgeber, den wir bisher erleben durften - unglaublich hilfsbereit & stets erreichbar. Seine zahlreichen Tipps haben uns eine tolle Zeit beschert.
Wir haben 3 Wochen im wunderschönen Puchberg verbracht & waren begeistert von der Lage des Hauses: Wir konnten eine Vielzahl unserer Wanderungen direkt vor der Haustür starten, haben viele umliegende Hütten erkundet & die zünftige Gastronomie genossen. Der Ort ist sehr gut mit der Bahn angebunden & hat alles, was man im Alltag benötigt (denn wir haben auch von dort gearbeitet).
Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt & wir werden uns immer mit einem Lächeln an diese schöne Zeit erinnern.
Der Vermieter ist sehr bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen und ist immer sehr gut erreichbar und gibt auch gerne Tipps für mögliche Aktivitäten.
Die Umgebung ist bestens geeignet für diverse Wandertouren, es gibt aber auch für Nichtwanderer bzw. schlechtes Wetter gute Alternativen.
Auch das Gastronomieangebot (meist österreichische Küche) ist gut.
Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!
Es war einfach super schön dort, sehr nette Menschen und eine schnelle Anbindung an Einkaufsmärkte, Bäcker, Fleischerei und andere diverse Geschäfte ist auch vorhanden.
Das Tourismusbüro war sehr engagiert und trotz Corona Maßnahmen und häufigen Tests ging es überall schnell und entspannt zu.
Würden wir näher wohnen, wären wir schon sehr zeitnah wieder gekommen .
