Oasis of peace

The holiday home was our oasis of peace for a while, very modern and tastefully furnished, abundantly equipped with crockery and pots and cosily warm. By bus and tram we were in the centre of Dresden in 45 minutes and just as quickly at different hiking starting points in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. We would be happy to recommend this accommodation!

House with space and good starting point for excursions.

The holiday home offers more than enough space for six people. The equipment is well-thought-out and complete. Since the house is located directly on the Elbe, excursions can be started directly from the front door. By car, canoe, bicycle (rental station for canoe and bike 200m from the accommodation), or bus and train, both the city of Dresden and the Saxon Switzerland can be explored within a radius of about 20km.

The house was clean and had a barbecue for our enjoyment. The communication with the landlady was straightforward and helpful.

Would gladly come back again!

Cleanliness in the property?????

The apartment was cleaned shortly before our move-in, the floor was still wet. Unfortunately, no one had looked into the kitchen cabinets and oven for a while, everything was dirty and greasy. There were bread crumbs in the cutlery drawer, pots with food residues, and the coffee machine still had the previous tenant's filter bag. The toilet brush holder in the small bathroom was covered in feces stains, simply disgusting. I have never encountered such a dirty apartment at this price level before. The landlady was not reachable on the day of departure.

Impressions from the visit to the "old homeland."

The apartment in Dresden-Zschieren is wonderfully located in a quiet area, waking up to the sound of birds chirping. A 10-minute walk leads to the bus stop or to the Elbe River in the other direction. Depending on your mobility, the Pillnitz ferry is also within walking distance or reachable by bike (the latter is also very helpful for shopping, etc.). The apartment itself has everything you need for a self-determined holiday and is in excellent condition (kitchen equipment, living room, etc.). The bedroom setup and the two toilets are very advantageous for full occupancy. The landlords can be reached within a 2-minute walk, so you always feel well cared for. Four restaurants within walking distance provide for your physical well-being, and the beautiful countryside and the village character of Zschieren complete the atmosphere of relaxation.

Beautiful holiday home

The holiday home was handed over clean and very well equipped. Inside, everything is tastefully furnished, except for the children's room. The location is fantastic
The recommended restaurant is a real insider tip.
Unfortunately, the children's room was not so usable due to the damp wall. We saw that they are working on the problem.
Our suggestions for improvement would be free wifi and a bigger double bed in the second bedroom.

Wunderbares Familienwochenende

We had planned a long weekend with the whole family, including grandparents and grandchildren, in the accommodation. The location is great. Close to the Elbe River/cycle path and quickly in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Hiking, cycling, paddling... everything is super easy to do. The accommodation is wonderful for 6 people. With 2 toilets/bathrooms, there was no congestion in the mornings. We were able to grill and play badminton outside in beautiful weather, but also play games together indoors in the evening or project old photos onto the wall with the provided beamer.
Everything is very modern. The kitchen is well-equipped and information about the surroundings is available. Internet is an additional cost, which we weren't prepared for, so extra communication on site was necessary. However, this worked out very well.
Overall, we had a great time.

Super it was

We would like to thank you very much for the beautiful accommodation with all-round facilities, modern and detailed furnishings, super and friendly neighbours in a beautiful setting
It is a beautiful place and we enjoyed our time very much. We didn't get to see everything during our two week holiday which means we will be back. With really hot temperatures, we really enjoyed the short walk to the swimming pool and also to the lake. Thank you very much for everything and have a great time Born family

Beautiful holiday home on the banks of the Elbe.

The house is located in a dead-end street with no vehicle traffic, just 250 meters from the Elbe river, which can be reached via paths after about 500 meters. The location of the house is very suitable for cycling tours on the Elbe River Trail (towards Dresden Old Town about 13 km or towards Pirna) and also as a starting point for trips to Dresden, the Saxon Switzerland, or Prague.

The house is very well-equipped. The 90 sqm are divided into 3 bedrooms, a separate toilet, and a not too large kitchen directly adjacent to the dining/living room.
In the small garden behind the house, there is a garden shed for storing bicycles.
In front of the house, you can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings on a terrace.
The landlady, Mrs. Pöschl, is competent and professional. The booking of the house was smooth and easy via the internet after a nice personal phone call. During key handover, detailed information about the house and surroundings was provided. Mrs. Pöschl was very accommodating, requesting direct contact in case of any issues. However, no problems arose, so we only saw Mrs. Pöschl for the second time during key return. We - a family with 2 children aged 17 and 15 - felt very comfortable. When another holiday in Dresden or the surrounding area is pending, we will stay here. You can book here without any concerns!!! Thank you for everything and warm regards, Ralf Coenen
