Description

The Christine holiday home is in a very quiet and secluded location, surrounded by meadows and woods. The little house has a homely and quite rustic style.
It offers a relatively large amount of space on three floors and you can divide it up nicely as a small group or family and create space for a little privacy at the same time, however, the central kitchen invites you again and again to the common table.

Location and surroundings of object

As already mentioned, the holiday home Christine is located in the middle of nature. You can't get much closer to nature, at most a log cabin directly in the forest could top the location in this respect. The garden is quite small, but it leads directly into a meadow and two hundred metres further on you are already in the forest. The cottage stands on a hill surrounded by hills and is a place of peace and seclusion ideal for relaxing and recuperating. Hinterbrennberg is a small hamlet (smallest settlement) with eight houses. It is one of the westernmost points in the municipality of Altusried and embedded in the wonderful Allgäu nature. Hills, meadows, forests, everything right around the house. A small road through which no 10 cars drive every day, as the road is a dead end and only three other residents use it up to that point.
The place itself is just quiet and out of the way, though quite zebtral between important towns in the Allgäu. We are pretty much in the middle of the Kempten, Isny and Leutkirch triangle

Wedding Weekend

We were at my daughter's wedding in the Allgäu at Mrs. Würzer's house and were received very warmly. It is a cozy old farmhouse with everything you need for a short but also longer stay. Nestled in the dreamy Allgäu idyll, spiders in the house are of course not absent, but we have those at home in the Lower Rhine as well. Mrs. Würzer is a kind-hearted person, whose stories I would have liked to listen to for longer. She maintains the house herself, it is all clean and there are enough sleeping accommodations so that larger travel groups of up to 10 people can comfortably stay in the house. Each floor has a bathroom and toilet, and behind the house, you can sit together comfortably. There are great hiking and biking trails around the house and the gem, the view is a dream. On the wedding day, it got a bit crowded around the house with our guests, but the neighbors were informed by Mrs. Würzer and were very understanding.
I would love to come back again?

ancient and cozy

We, 2 people and a dog, felt very comfortable with Ms. Würzer. She is a very nice and attentive host. The little house is several hundred years old and very cozy. The furnishings are matched to the style of the house and create a great atmosphere. However, those who are disturbed by the occasional spider or two, which are commonly found in such old houses, especially in the countryside, should look for alternative accommodation. We had a lot of fun during our stay, there are many hiking options and beautiful destinations for excursions.
We will definitely spend a few days with Mrs. Würzer again sometime.

Tolle Auszeit

We five men thoroughly enjoyed the break at Mrs. Würzer's holiday home.
Everything you need is there, whether it's a grill, coffee machine, dishes, etc.
The house is old, which one should be aware of. But it's wonderful to sit on the terrace, barbecue, or simply enjoy the peace.
Mrs. Würzer is a wonderful soul of a person - we were warmly welcomed and she was always available for questions. Important: The ceilings are low - our 1.99 m passenger had some problems but it works :-)

Thank you very much, Mrs. Würzer, for the lovely days!

Holidays like in Grandma's times.

Mrs. Würzer's holiday home is really very, very old. Inside, it's like in grandma's time with lots of rural charm, clean and functional. Simple and without luxury, but very cozy. Everything you need is available. The rooms are bright and very low, so not suitable for tall people. The upper floor is spacious and very bright. The garden is small but sufficient for sitting outside and relaxing. Unfortunately, it is not fenced. Since we were traveling with our dog, we brought a portable fence. Another tip is to get a massage from Mrs. Würzer. She has a small practice in the house and offers massages and reflexology for her guests. The price/performance ratio is great. Mrs. Würzer is very nice and accommodating and takes care of her guests. Hinterbrennberg is really very remote, the nearest shopping facilities and restaurants are 10km away. It is very quiet here and ideal as a starting point for excursions and hikes. All in all, we had a very nice week at Mrs. Würzer's.

Very rustic, very quaint

It is an ancient house with old and older furnishings but clean. Everything necessary is available, even for several people. However, for my taste, there could actually be fewer cobwebs. Located in pure nature, absolutely quiet.
There is plenty of space in the house. The landlady lives opposite, is very nice, and our dogs were also welcome.
Those who like it quiet and appreciate the charm of an old house are in the right place.

Rustic house with a lot of charm.

The house has the typical rustic charm you would expect in this area.
It is well equipped without a lot of frills and very quietly located
The hostess is a soul of a person and takes great care of the needs of her tenants without being intrusive.
We felt very comfortable and would have liked to stay longer.

Pure relaxation

We spent a very relaxing holiday in the middle of meadows and forests. The farmhouse, which is over 300 years old, has its own quaint charm. The furnishings fit in well. There is everything you need for a nice holiday. We felt very comfortable there and wonderfully looked after by Mrs Würzer. You can go on beautiful hikes directly from the house. The surrounding towns and sights can be reached quickly.
The price is completely reasonable. If you are looking for relaxation and not luxury, this is the place for you.
Other "guests" who are upset about cobwebs, which is unavoidable in the countryside, should rather book a hotel in the city and not write such reviews !!!!

A house with soul and character

If you are looking for some luxury on your vacation, this is not the place for you. However, if you seek the charm of an old house in a beautiful setting with lots of tranquility and direct contact with nature, then this is the right place. Our 14-day vacation in 2020 was characterized by a lot of warmth; we have never encountered a host like Mrs. Würzer before – she is a kind-hearted woman who would give her last shirt for her guests. Noteworthy for us was also the friendliness of the local population, from which many other regions could take a leaf. Our previously favored holiday region, Brittany, must now make way. For 2021, we have already reserved with Mrs. Würzer on-site and are looking forward to a reunion.

Rustic and cozy

A very rustic holiday home that shows its age. Absolutely quiet location in a dead end surrounded by beautiful meadows and forests. Directly at the house, there are beautiful hiking trails and, of course, cycling paths. Since it's mostly uphill, cyclists benefit from good condition or an e-bike. The landlady, Mrs. Wurzle, is very personable and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, no one can complain about lack of space here - only the ceiling height up to a maximum of 2 meters takes some getting used to. Each floor has a bathroom that is absolutely clean. It should be self-evident that for this rental price, you do not get a five-star house. We felt very comfortable and well rested here. A definite recommendation for families with multiple children.

Haunted House

Run-down - down to the smallest detail everything yellowed and sticky, spiders starve in dusty cobwebs, such spider graves are everywhere to be found, in the bathroom next to the shower, in the wardrobe. There are no storage rooms, the accumulated junk from past decades - or centuries(?) is hidden behind a dusty fabric as a kind of room divider. The stairs are dangerously wobbly or otherwise defective. In the kitchen, even the dish towels were sticking, and there was a liquid and stinky, wobbly mass in the kettle. The landlady says the house is a 350-year-old structure; she even cleaned the windows specifically. However, for adequate maintenance, more is needed. The beds seemed superficially okay, but under the sheets, I glimpsed chopped foam remnants. After a short visit, I felt completely dirty and uncomfortable. We couldn't stand it and left again. It seems sufficient for drinking tours, as self-reported, they were the only customers in the past. The location is lovely - behind the house, a wild slope - in front of the house, the landlady's house.

Cosy house in beautiful nature

You should not rent this holiday home if you are looking for luxury accommodation. However, if you feel comfortable in a quaint, cosy, old-fashioned but very well-equipped house (and are not very big), this holiday home is definitely to be recommended
The peace and quiet and the beautiful nature ensure that you can relax wonderfully
We were there with 3 adults, a toddler and 4 dogs and were very well received. Unfortunately there is no fenced garden where you could let the dogs jump. The landlady lives across the road and is always helpful.
Since the weather also cooperated, we were able to spend a wonderful week there.
