At the outlet of the Veddasca Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore, at the end of the village of Caviggia, branching off from the village road at the beginning of a private path, in a pleasant south-facing location, lies Casa Magdalena. The house contains a holiday apartment on each of its two floors. Each of the tastefully furnished apartments, measuring 64 sqm, has two bedrooms, a living room with a well-equipped kitchenette and satellite TV, a hallway, as well as separate rooms for shower and toilet. Each apartment has a separate terrace from which you can enjoy the magnificent lake view all the way to Stresa. Parking space or garage is available directly at the house. Free internet access via Wi-Fi.

Caviggia is an ideal location, not only to explore the beauties of Lake Maggiore. From here, you can also quickly reach Lake Lugano and Lake Como. Bellinzona, Locarno, and Ascona in Switzerland are also not far away. Likewise, a day trip to Milan offers a nice change. The nearest larger town is Maccagno ( inhabitants). The Giona River, which merges with Lake Maggiore right at Maccagno, divides Maccagno into two sister communities, each with ancient village centers and their own beaches. Maccagno Inferiore and Superiore. The mild climate, the clarity of the water, and the beauty of the views of the lake and mountains make this place a popular attraction for all who seek peace and tranquility. The Giona Park, located on the lakeshore, is a true oasis of nature with its lush vegetation, wide open spaces, and children's playground. Right in Maccagno, a beautiful lakeside promenade invites you to take a stroll. Maccagno also has lovely bathing beaches.
A nautical club with a boat dock, a windsurfing and a sailing school, athletics facilities, and tennis courts offer opportunities for sporting activities. Maccagno, with its beautiful lakeside promenade and swimming opportunities, is located approx. 3 km by car away. Here you will find everything you need for daily life: various shopping options, supermarket, restaurants, bank, pharmacy, etc. The next larger town (approx. 8 km away) is Luino, with its famous weekly market (every Wednesday).
It is only about 1.3 km on foot to Maccagno. The beautiful footpath runs away from the road and can be covered downhill in about 25 minutes. About 200 meters in altitude are overcome in the process.
