Recommended
In August 2024, we had the opportunity to experience our first vacation in Croatia with the Skapul family. Fundamentally, I am always skeptical about new places and accommodations. However, here it was different. We felt comfortable right away, and the location relative to the costs is simply unbeatable. Our hosts are extremely friendly and available at any time.
The apartment is well and functionally equipped and offers everything one needs for a relaxing vacation. Due to the very hot days, the ice cube machine was our best friend.
The beach bar of the Skapul family is nicely located right on the beach. Unfortunately, we just couldn't manage to stop by here. We will make up for it on our next trip to Croatia... we were convinced and will come back next year.
A heartfelt "thank you" to the Skapul family for the wonderful time. Keep everything as it is... you can tell that you are really welcome here.

Top accommodation
We are now here for the 4th time with the Skapul family and can definitely recommend the house.
We have had three different apartments so far, all very clean, well-maintained, and everything you need in the kitchen is available. If something is ever missing, you can always contact the owners, and everything will be made possible. They are the best. There are enough fresh towels to exchange, the beds are very comfortable and above all clean; I have never found such clean and comfortable beds in any hotel.
What I like best is that there is now a laundry room that leaves nothing to be desired, so you don't have to take so much clothing with you, especially practical when traveling with children. However, we always bring our own laundry detergent. There is also a drying rack on the balcony. Air conditioning, large television with German programs, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, freezer, refrigerator, and an electric stove are available as electronic devices.
In our bathroom this year, there is ample storage in a mirrored cabinet and a great washbasin with 2 drawers (Apartment No. 3), and there are also sufficient towel hooks and bars.
This apartment also has two balconies. There is a great barbecue area for guests, which should please be cleaned up afterwards.
In the basement, the Skapul family has set up a very nice lounge with a ping-pong table, music, and a seating area during the winter months. It invites for game nights?
The beach equipment can be stored in the garage in front. The Skapul family owns a beach bar that is about 550 m away; the beach itself can be reached in just 200 m, where there are sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent, and plenty of entertainment for children, including a soccer field.
The Skapul beach bar is highly recommended; the food is excellent at great prices.

Family vacation with children.
We were at the Skapul family's house for the first time. It's not comparable to the other apartments we have stayed in in Lopar. The location and surroundings are simply great. Everything is accessible without a car, except if you want to go to Rab (about 10-15 minutes), but that's perfectly fine. There are several lemon trees in the garden that are really beautiful to look at.
The Skapul family is very friendly and their beach restaurant is highly recommended. Their homemade red wine is very good.
We can highly recommend this house with a clear conscience!
We are looking forward to the next time.

If Lopar then here!!!
We stayed here for a week with our two boys and can only recommend it
it is not super modern but you have everything you need, it is clean, great balcony, comfortable beds. you could always change towels and dish towels that were in front of the room enough
we received a very warm welcome and were able to contact our hosts at any time
you can get to the beach very quickly, there are plenty of restaurants, a bakery right on the corner... we can only rave and would book again any time if the drive to lopar wasn't so miserably far :( but we will definitely be back sometime
ps: the olive oil is sooo delicious

Beautiful & Clean Apartment
We stayed in the Skapul family flat in June 2020 exactly after the travel warning. Very nice and clean flat. We always had fresh towels available. There was also disinfectant in the hallway. There are also plenty of parking spaces. Unfortunately I forgot my mobile phone in the flat (something that has never happened to me before) and it was sent back to me. You rarely meet such honest people these days. The Skapul family are very nice, hospitable and honest people. We have stayed in many flats in Lopar, but so far we have liked the family best.
