Our cosy holiday flat "Arnika" for 4 persons with a wonderful panoramic view of the Rennsteig.
The flat has 2 double bedrooms, 1 living room, fully equipped kitchen and 2 completely renovated bathrooms with ground-level showers and WC
In the house there is a completely newly designed wellness area with Finnish sauna, Physiotherm infrared and whirlpool.
In the outdoor area there is also a wood-fired outdoor sauna and a hot tub. (Use is not included). We provide sauna towels and infusion.
The unique hay bath with our self-produced organic mountain meadow herbal hay completes the relaxing stay and is an experience of a special kind. (Application in the wellness area, dates subject to availability)
Dogs are allowed with us, please mention when booking (7,--€/ day/ dog).
Parking spaces directly at the house, in the winter months please only drive with winter tyres.

With an altitude of 800m above sea level and no through traffic, Friedrichshöhe is the ideal place for unforgettable holidays in nature. Our Arnika holiday home is located on the edge of the forest on an idyllic mountain meadow
You reach Friedrichshöhe via an access road 3 km from the B281 near Siegmundburg. Nestled in dense forest and mountain meadows, the picturesque Rennsteig community of Friedrichshöhe offers ideal conditions for relaxing holidays at any time of year. The place is not only an insider tip because of its special scenic location on the ridge of the Thuringian Forest, but also because of its absolute tranquillity.
Neither road traffic nor any other noise disturbs the restful silence here. The Rennsteig runs right along the edge of the village. When you step out of the forest, you see sweeping mountain meadows with few houses. No industry of any kind disturbs the forest and meadow idyll here.
The nearby Rennsteig is also suitable for active holidaymakers:
- Hiking in the Thuringian Forest Nature Park with its notch valleys and reservoirs or dams
- Cross-country skiing (cross-country ski trails start right at the house)
- Mountain bike or bicycle tours
Directions:
Located in the middle of Germany, Friedrichshöhe is easy to reach from all directions.
A 73 exit Eisfeld-Nord, continue on B 281 in the direction of Neuhaus am Rennweg until you reach Siegmundsburg. There you turn left towards Friedrichshöhe and after approx. 2.5 km you will reach Ferienhaus Arnika on the right-hand side.

Beautiful short vacation

Pure relaxation
We spent a wonderfully relaxing week at Pension Arnika. Warm welcome, well-equipped beautiful holiday flat with wellness area in the house. The hay bath is a great experience for nature lovers. Friedrichshöhe, the smallest village on the Rennsteig, is somewhat secluded from the main road and offers wonderful peace and quiet and lovely forest air. We dream of coming back at the time of the arnica blossom.
