Description

Since January 2021, I offer my very quietly situated bungalow on a fenced plot. Consisting of bedroom with double bed, hallway, shower room, living room with sofa bed and wood-burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchen. The heating is done with night storage heater, infrared heating and cosy fireplace ( wood is available ). There is a terrace with garden chairs and table. The property itself is 600 sqm and completely fenced. Parking is available outside the property
The area is beautiful and invites you to go hiking, or to relax in nearby Bad Elster
The nearby Czech Republic is also always worth a trip, which can also be comfortably undertaken with the Vogtlandbahn. In the winter months, ski lifts and ski slopes are only 10 km away.

Holidays in the beautiful Vogtland with its charming landscapes and peaceful forests are worthwhile for guests of all ages.
Our holiday home offers you recreation and a variety of interesting excursion destinations on foot, by car or by bike (Czech Republic - spa triangle, Vogtland Arena Klingenthal, dams, Göltzschtal Bridge - largest brick bridge in the world, space exhibition, Ore Mountains, Elster Mountains, Fichtel Mountains, Franconian Forest, Bohemia, etc.).
The Saxon state spas of Bad Elster ( with the newly built brine bath ) and Bad Brambach are in the immediate vicinity
The very quietly situated bungalow is very easy to reach with the Vogtlandbahn , it is located directly at the forest far away from any traffic. You will not hear any cars or the like, only the rustling of the forest. Bad Elster is 3 km away with its relaxing brine bath and other interesting destinations such as the renovated open-air swimming pool dating back to 1905. You can also reach a beautiful free natural swimming pool on foot (approx. 900 metres).
In autumn, usually from the beginning of September, you can pick a lot of mushrooms in the surrounding forests.

The landscape of the Vogtland is very idyllic with fields, meadows and wooded hilltops. In the south and southeast, the Vogtland rises to the low mountain range and, especially in the east, also takes in parts of the Ore Mountains. This area is called the Upper Vogtland. Coniferous forests predominate there. The town of Adorf is considered the gateway to the Upper Vogtland and forms a crossroads to Bohemia and Franconia. The highest mountain in the Vogtland is the Schneehübel (974 m) in the Westerzgebirge. However, the Aschberg near Klingenthal (936 m) and the Schneckenstein (883 m) are better known and more prominent. Due to the altitude, there is almost always snow in winter, which makes winter sports possible. In addition, there are corresponding winter sports centres and cross-country ski trails in the surrounding area.

The northern hills are intersected by several river valleys, especially the White Elster and the Göltzsch. The Saale also runs through the Bavarian and Thuringian Vogtland. Mighty bridges were built for railway and road traffic to cross the valleys. The Göltzschtal Bridge, the largest brick bridge in the world, and its "little sister", the Elstertal Bridge, are particularly famous. Both are railway bridges on the Nuremberg-Dresden line. In addition to the road bridges of the A 72 motorway near Hof (Saale valley), near Pirk (Weiße Elster) and near Weißensand (Göltzsch), the Peace Bridge in Plauen is of special significance: it is the largest stone arch bridge in Europe. There are also several dams in the Vogtland. Well-known recreational areas are the Pöhl Dam (Trieb, a tributary of the Weiße Elster), the Pirk Dam (Weiße Elster), the Bleiloch Dam (Saale), the Zeulenroda Dam and the Untreusee.

Super little house

If you are looking for a lovely little house in Saxony, Germany, look no further. You have found it.
The owner makes a great effort to warmly welcome her guests, both human and animal. Very nice.
Cleanliness, location, price/quality all perfectly fine. Communication via the app excellent and very helpful.

Super accommodation

The holiday home is located a bit off the beaten path but exudes a wonderful tranquility. You can take a nice bike ride or hike. The landscape is somewhat hilly but very beautiful. The property is fenced and suitable for both larger and smaller dogs. The holiday home left nothing to be desired for us. It was equipped with everything you could imagine. It is lovingly decorated and we were greeted with a small bottle of sparkling wine and the warmth of the hostess. Our inquiries were responded to immediately. Can we recommend the accommodation? Definitely a YES! Thank you for the time we were able to spend with you.

Cozy cottage in beautiful nature

We felt very comfortable in the cozy house with fireplace. Thanks to the great weather, we were able to have breakfast every morning on the terrace with a wonderful view. Our dog Odin especially liked the large, fenced garden. The house is perfectly equipped. We didn't miss anything and we would love to come back!

Very nice and clean holiday home, great location, very peaceful, just great for relaxing. The path to the house is a bit difficult, especially with the luggage, but the very kind, nice Frau Wolf of course helped us carry it. Too bad you can't drive to the house by car. But still everything was great.

Man kann bis auf wenige Meter bis zum Haus fahren um seine Sachen auszuladen. Geparkt wird das Fahrzeug auf unserem Privatgrundstück in ca. 50 Metern Entfernung . Gerade dies Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe schätzen unsere Gäste um einen ungestörten Aufenthalt verbringen zu können

I'm off now!

Peace, relaxation, long walks, "chilling" far away from everyday life. We found everything. Nice little cottage, equipped with everything, invites you to recharge your "empty batteries". Living room with great view. The fireplace gives a glimpse of what it will be like in winter. Although the thermometer often shows more than 30 degrees, it was always pleasantly cool in the house. Our dog Flora also enjoyed it. The property is fully fenced and offers shade, she could move freely. The forest is only a few meters away and invites you to long walks. The landlady is very nice and accommodating, unfortunately we only had contact by email (could change next time?). Only the fact that you cannot park directly at the house would justify a minimal deduction of points, but this deduction is balanced out by the overall package.

Great holiday home in a dreamlike nature

We were allowed to spend just under a week in Mrs Wolf's holiday home and enjoyed every day ?. The house is super clean and has everything you need. Simply a place to feel good and nature lovers can enjoy the fantastic location - just the view from the panoramic window in the living room was a "wow" every time. In the middle of nature and yet not "off the beaten track" - in a few minutes by car you can reach Bad Elster or Adorf with numerous shopping opportunities and very good restaurants (special tip for burger lovers is the "Waldimbiss" between Adorf and Bad Elster).
We were in the Vogtland for the first time and are enthusiastic about this beautiful region - for us (my wife, our German Shepherd and I) as hiking enthusiasts it was an absolute discovery and Mrs Wolf's beautiful holiday home was a great base ?
In conclusion: We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

Pure relaxation

We spent wonderful days in the tastefully furnished holiday home. We especially liked the idyllic location, the peace and the immediate proximity to the forest
The holiday home is very well equipped, there is nothing lacking. On cold evenings it was very cosy in front of the fireplace.

Feel at home

I was able to spend a business stay in a vacation home and I like to choose cozy accommodations for that. And this little house has achieved that particularly well! Those who love the woods and enjoy spending the night in a truly lovingly designed domicile will find everything they need here. Nothing is missing, and winding down after a workday by the crackling fireplace gives one a bit of a feeling of home!
