The location is great, truly almost isolated. Very nice neighbors and everything is very quiet. Dogs are welcome, there are even bowls in different sizes, and the freezer is big enough for - oh my, I guess - 10kg of BARF. We could sleep well there, hang out all day, cook, and do everything everyday life demands. The very old house is very well preserved, renovated, designed, and equipped. The sofa is comfortable, the armchairs for lounging are great. The kitchen is well equipped, and we had more than we actually needed. The garden is naturally landscaped and invites you to rest. The kiwi is a hit! Here, rabbits and birds still find an intact environment, and you meet the four-legged and feathered friends there daily. There is always a shady spot on very hot days, and alternatively, you can also sit in the beach chair on the terrace or even sit in the sand. The area offers a lot for dog owners because leashed dogs are still allowed to walk on every dike there. The personal connection of the owner is visible, and everything is arranged with love and dedication. Those were fantastic weeks - THANK YOU!

A property set up with a lot of attention to detail. This house has a lot of charm and the owners have truly furnished every corner with love. When booking this property, one must be aware that it is a very old house. Taller people may have to duck their heads frequently. The village of Ockholm itself doesn't offer much, but is very centrally located to departure points for the Halligen or islands.

The little Reethus is a wonderfully restored "terraced house" on a mound in the sleepy village of Ockholm. As soon as you climb the stairs to the conservatory, you feel at home. Everything is lovingly prepared...the small sandbox corner and the beach chair invite you to linger even before entering the house. As soon as you enter the conservatory, you notice many small details that put you in vacation mood at the latest. And when you unlock the door to the house afterwards, you feel a little transported back in time...the rustic kitchen, the great alcove, the Frisian tiles, etc...pure holiday feeling. Only the master bedroom on the upper floor with its wooden furnishings seemed a bit out of place to us, but this did not detract from the very positive overall impression. Our dog particularly enjoyed the fenced garden at the back of the house. We really enjoyed our 8 nights and the pictures you find for the vacation house do not promise too much. There were two tiny drawbacks for us...the odd screw could perhaps be tightened again (among other things on the steps to the conservatory), and it would be great if you could also darken the second skylight in the master bedroom on the upper floor. But all in all...we would definitely come back here on vacation straight away!

This cute, lovingly furnished holiday home is nicely located and offers a perfect starting point for trips to the surrounding area. It is equipped with everything you need. The garden behind the house and the conservatory at the front invite you to linger. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back! Only the steps in the front yard could be renovated once. In addition, fly screens on the windows would be great.

In this quaint, cozy house one can relax and unwind very well. Pure nature, sheep as far as the eye can see. It is very quiet here and there was not a soul in sight for miles around :). Unfortunately, shopping possibilities were very far away, no bread rolls around the corner. All in all recommendable for those who don't need bells and whistles :)

What a beautiful thatched cottage, situated on a dwelling mound near the dyke and the North Sea! You enter a piece of history and are enchanted by the lovingly designed interior with many small details. You will find everything you need in the kitchen. The beds are great and even the bathroom is a gem. It doesn't get any better than this. Thank you for a wonderful time!
