Maike K.
Schnuckeliges und gemütliches kleines Häuschen, alles da, was man braucht. Uns hat‘s sehr gut gefallen.

Tolles Haus in guter Umgebung

Unkomplizierte Buchung. Traumhaftes Haus. Kurzum - ein rundherum gelungener Urlaub. Vielen Dank für alles.

We felt very comfortable in the small, cozy cottage! A comfortable sofa for rainy reading days, a dining area by the window with a view of the, quite literally, small street and large bright bedroom. You still need to be good on your feet for the steep stairs, the bathroom is not really spacious, but still sufficient! We lacked nothing and we will gladly stay there again.

Very beautiful house. Central location. Everything available in terms of equipment. After a long search, we finally found the broom and vacuum cleaner :) Only downside: Small bathroom. Also, the staircase in the house is awkward (narrow and steep).

Mathis Fischerhuus is a nice, small holiday home in the old town. From the outside, it has the charm of an old house, inside it is rustic and comfortably furnished. The bedrooms upstairs are bright and friendly, the beds are equipped with good mattresses, so you like to go to the land of dreams after an eventful day in the evening. However, you should know that the bedrooms are reached via a rather steep staircase (potentially difficult for small children and people with restrictions) and that the bathroom with shower/toilet is on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything essential (however, the wall cabinets are hung very high... I am 1.72m tall and had to stretch quite a bit to reach the plates and cups). Maybe a small step could be a solution. The living room is cozy with a large L-shaped sofa. A large TV is on the wall, and if you want to skip the TV, there are even a few board games. The maritime ambiance is rounded off with beautiful decoration and lanterns. There is also a covered courtyard with seating and a shed for storing bicycles. The central location to the harbor, old town, and market square, Husum Castle, the Christmas and Storm House, are just around the corner... Everything is easily accessible on foot! But I still have two suggestions for improvement: Please provide a current plan for collecting trash, a plan for TV channels, and not just a dustpan and hand brush, a broom for indoor areas would be great too... as you want to leave the house clean. All in all, Fischerhuus is a beautiful accommodation. I liked it!

Great holiday home in the heart of Husum. Very clean and well maintained, great facilities. Short connection to the old town, only the stairs to the upper floor are a bit steep and narrow, not necessarily recommended for older guests.
Iris Menze
Normally you need one/two days to feel at home and comfortable in a (foreign) holiday home. Here it was different: at home from the moment we opened the front door. If we ever come to Husum again, we will only stay here.
Birgit Höhn
You open the front door and feel at home. Very nicely furnished and everything you need is there. And another little welcome. Stairs are steep, but well lit and manageable with handrails etc. At the beginning we were surprised by the ' washing machine noise ' of the ventilation, but you don't need it that often and it is a bit loud almost everywhere. We were a bit disturbed by the fact that the temperature always fluctuated between hot and cold, but maybe we should have adjusted something on the gas boiler? But this is really 'complaining on a high level', because the pilot house is really cosy and only a few steps to the harbour or the city centre. You can also get some fresh air on the terrace and chat with the nice neighbour to the left. We had a wonderful holiday and would come back again - and so would our pelt-noses.
Marko Passoth
We were in the house from 05-19.08.. We felt at home from the very beginning. Everything you need is there. The hot water and heating also worked great. The house is very conveniently located to reach everything in the city on foot. The terrace invites you to linger and the neighbours are nice. We will be staying in the house again in December and are already looking forward to it. See you soon...

The 'reception' alone with 2 bottles of prosecco is something to be proud of. Everything else (furnishings, location, cleanliness, etc.) did not disappoint. The pretty holiday home is very modern, lovingly and tastefully furnished. We felt right at home from the first minute. The kitchen equipment is professional, we didn't miss anything. The Skipper House is located in a quiet side street (old town) and after a few hundred metres you reach the Husum shopping street with great shops and the harbour with many restaurants. The sights such as the castle, the Ostenfeld farmhouse or the interesting museums (North Sea/ shipping) are also only a few minutes' walk away. We were able to leave the car in the free car park about 200 m away during our short holiday. If we come to the area again, we will definitely book the Skipperhus again!
Judith W.
We stayed in the Skipperhus for a few days in December, at Christmas time, and felt very comfortable. A beautiful cosy interior, everything newly modernised. We didn't want for anything. We would like to come back again!
Siegbert Reder
The location is top. Two super large bedrooms on the first floor with great beds. Plenty of space on the ground floor (kitchen, bathroom, living room) and on the terrace. Big TV in the living room. Small disadvantage: narrow steep stairs upstairs - possibly not for small children and elderly people.
Reinhold Lutsch
We had a wonderful week in the holiday flat. Especially our parents (both around 80) liked it very much. The only drawback was the steep stairs to the bedrooms, which were a challenge. Because of the weather, we were able to enjoy the surroundings and the sea every day. A washing machine would be recommended for a longer stay, otherwise all available and tiptop in conclusion. A great cosy house with very good and modern equipment. Everything is very clean and you will find everything you need. Central location and everything is within walking distance. The only drawback was that we had no access to the garden house in the courtyard to get a barbecue or a hoover or broom. If the dogs were with us, that would have been nice. We got a broom because the house was locked and we couldn't get in. I'm sure it was provided for and that's why I don't rate it that way now. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are like everything else modern and as good as new and also very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Good: Nice flat close to the harbour Disadvantages: 1. shower could not get consistent water temperature 2. first two days I could not be on the living room couch due to itchy, watery eyes and difficulty swallowing. I am normally allergic to pet hair only when hair load is high ! There were some pillows, blankets etc. .... Possibly not all had been changed. Allergy sufferers: watch out !

It's been a few weeks since our stay in Husum and we always think back fondly. The small cosy house was perfect for us. Everything is tastefully furnished and the location is unbeatable. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back again.

Very friendly and courteous service by the team, good location and short distances to the harbour and the centre of Husum; nice little house; cosy flat of sufficient size and equipment.

We felt incredibly comfortable in Matthis Skipperhuus. I have rarely seen accommodation that looks like new over a long period of time and is equipped with everything you need without a lot of frills. It is great how thoughtful the guests are and the personal contact with Mrs Volquardsen is always very pleasant. You and your team simply know how to do it!

We had a wonderful week and the holiday home was again very good. A few things you can improve or attend to are: -we would like a long broom for the floor in the house so we can sweep it a bit. -we haven't found a wall contact for one of the lamps in the bedroom behind. -the external lighting on the terrace is broken. We have also emailed you about this. It was very dark in the evening. -we would like to have better information about when to empty the rubbish. The binder could be better in the kitchen or maybe you could put the info in the "flipboard"? -There was a lot of nice flowers in the small street but in front of the flat everything was dry and brown and that did not depend on the warm weather. Maybe it would have been better not to have flowers in the flower boxes. It looked nicer, we think. -the tips in the flipboard were great. With kind regrads, Family Boon and Jaapie the dog.

During the day, cycling tours, swimming, museums, city tours with Nordic charm, all within a pleasantly manageable radius (Schlei, St. Peter Ording, Emil Nolde House and Garden, Gottorf Castle, Haithabu, Holm, Flensburg...) . In the evening to the cosy Skipperhus or in a few steps to the harbour of Husum. For us, a successful mix with good service and uncomplicated handling.

The cottage has a great location and has been very tastefully and lovingly renovated, equipped and decorated. The very beautiful details are all well coordinated and you feel very comfortable. However, this unfortunately only applies to the inner part of the house! Surprisingly, the outside was unfortunately the opposite. The house has two windows with flower boxes next to the entrance door. This is the first thing you see when you walk up to the house and therefore the first impression you get! These flower boxes were full of weeds and faded dandelions and quite a few dried up bushes. This had been the case for years, a resident in the street had told us, and a guest had already described exactly the same thing in his evaluation from 2019. Why wasn't anything changed? One could also put in a decoration, e.g. pebbles and shells, etc., which would not need any maintenance! The terrace was not swept and was very dirty due to pollen and leaves, and there were several large dandelions around the terrace. The knee-high weeds had the upper hand in the small planting bed here too! We swept, cleared the window sills of pollen and weeds everywhere and planted the window boxes with fresh flowers. A rubbish calendar from 2017 was not helpful either, as guests have to put the bins out themselves, so the bins were very full. We received a copy of 2020 from the neighbour and filed it in the guest folder. In the confirmation we had received the information in which rythm the different bins are to be put out. In the confirmation we had received information about the frequency of the different bins (weekly, fortnightly, etc.), but it would be a better service if we could get information about which bin is to be put out on which day during our stay. At least an up-to-date rubbish calendar MUST be available in the accommodation! Instead, old ones from previous years with 2017, the most current!!! Presumably this is why previous guests could not put the bins out correctly, and thus the bins were sometimes very full. We found 2 empty bags in the shed for charcoal for the barbecue and then disposed of them. Inside the house was mostly clean, however, just with the announced disinfections, for the purpose of Corona, also a pity that one still finds children's hands, probably from chocolate cream, on the kitchen benches! In the bathroom there was a cotton pad on the floor. But these are all small flaws that are easy to solve and worth it, because despite the criticism, we have taken the cottage so much to our hearts that we would have loved to pack it up and take it with us. We enjoyed our days very much and would have preferred to stay longer.
Katja Riehl
The house is really nice and the location unbeatable! The weather was not at its best, but we still had a great holiday in such a beautiful accommodation. Maybe the narrow stairs upstairs are not suitable for everyone. We didn't mind.
Marion Martin Tank
We liked the house quite a bit, but the courtyard could be made more friendly and clean! Weeds and the dirty roofing should definitely be reworked. It is also a pity that there is hardly any sunshine in the courtyard!

Very nice house.
Central location.
Everything available in terms of equipment.
After a long search we also found the broom and hoover :)
The only drawback: small bathroom. Also the stairs in the house are clumsy (narrow and steep)

Very nice, quiet apartment and yet directly located to the beautiful old town. Modern furnishings in a rustic ambience with everything you need. There are many things to do in Husum and you can get around by bike, train (when there is no strike) and boat without a car. We really enjoyed the peace, space and countryside/people and were able to slow down from everyday life. We received an answer to all our questions in advance very quickly and also had a contact person immediately in case of problems on site (power failure due to construction site). Very good all-round support! Thank you very much. We will be happy to come back.
Manuela Grabbe
We spent a wonderful holiday in this very cosy house, equipped with all comforts. Due to the central location, you can reach the inner and outer harbour and all the central points in just a few minutes - absolutely recommendable.
Kati V.
We felt very comfortable in Matthias Huus. The bakery, restaurants and other shops are within walking distance. The small street lives up to its name: we could park the car here briefly for loading and unloading. But the free car park at the harbour was also within 5 min walking distance. Our tip: Day trip with the ferry from Nordstrand to Amrum. Here you can explore the whole beautiful island by bus (€13 day ticket) and on foot.
