Great little house, we felt comfortable right away. Only the stairs up to the bedrooms are very special: steep.... A second frying pan would also be great. Otherwise, everything is perfect. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful week in Husum and the surrounding area in July 2017, which can be explored quite well by bike or car and bike. The captain's house is really wonderfully central and is tastefully and practically furnished. The parking situation was resolved after 2 days. (Permit from the city of Husum should be applied for before arrival!). The cleanliness did not meet our expectations. Primarily the floor and also the dust on the surfaces were annoying, and we took care of it ourselves, which should not actually be the point of a vacation week. There is still room for improvement. !!!

For 2 people, the small house is ideal. We stored our luggage in the 2nd bedroom, as unfortunately there is not enough closet space; with 4 people, it might get quite cramped. For this reason, there is also a 1-point deduction for the amenities. If you rely on Wi-Fi, there are also problems - it works very little to not at all. Otherwise, the furnishings are cozy and everything you need is available - we would definitely like to come back.

Cozy holiday home in an authentic setting. Ideal starting point to explore Schleswig Holstein by swimming, walking, cycling, and driving. Islands, beaches, interesting cities like Flensburg, Schleswig, Friedrichstadt, boat tours, culture with Storm, Emil Nolde, art collection Schloss Gottorf, all nearby. And in the evenings, one gladly returns to the Captain's House and Husum! Thank you for the unforgettable stay.

The apartment is beautifully furnished, everything is modern and stylish. The location to the shopping street is perfect; you are in the midst of the action in just a few minutes. Everything a person needs is present, especially the kitchen equipment is amazing! Everything was very clean and tidy. Upon arrival, all the radiators were turned off, which wasn't great in January with sub-zero temperatures. Due to the conservatory in the back area, it took 24 hours at full heating power for the apartment to warm up. We booked for 3 people, unfortunately, only bed linens and towels were prepared for 2 people, which was unfortunate on the first night. The apartment was freezing, 2 blankets for 3 people. Otherwise, it was great, we would come back!

We and our little daughter, 1.5 years old, really felt at home in the cottage for a fortnight. The entire furnishing is functional and tasteful and there is really everything you need. Even small children's furniture and toys and, of course, a travel cot on request. Barbecues in the small courtyard are also possible. The location is also perfect, practically only 5 minutes walk from the city centre where you can find all kinds of shops. Despite a bigger street nearby, it is absolutely quiet, especially at night. Conclusion: There is really nothing to complain about, although there are people who always find a fly in the ointment. In any case, we unreservedly recommend this cottage and will gladly come back!!!!!!!

The small cottage is ideal for 2 people. We put our luggage in the second bedroom because unfortunately there is not enough cupboard space, so with 4 people it might be quite crowded. If you are dependent on Wi-Fi, there are also problems - it works very little or not at all.
