The holiday home is located on the Eiderstedt peninsula, about 15 km away from everywhere (shops, Husum, etc.). Thus, the area can be explored very well. Denmark is also just a good hour's drive away. We had 10 days of very nice, warm weather. The holiday home with a thatched roof has very good amenities. Everything is really available. Only a slightly larger pot would be desirable. But otherwise, nothing is lacking. The processing went completely smoothly. We felt very comfortable in the house and in the surroundings.

Upon arrival, we found everything immediately and felt at home right away. The house is tastefully, cozy, and practically furnished. The peace and seclusion contribute to relaxation. The dog also felt comfortable. We will come back. Small suggestion: A light above the work surface in the kitchen would be great.

We spent five relaxing days in this beautiful house with 4 children and a dog – everyone felt very comfortable. The house has been lovingly and high-quality renovated and is well equipped, even the kitchen knives are sharp! (The only thing we missed was a large pot – anyone wanting to cook more than 500 g of spaghetti should bring one with them). By the way, the Wi-Fi worked excellently.

We stayed in the house on the occasion of the Husum Wind with our trade fair crew. A beautiful domicile right behind the dike. The house is excellently equipped - there is really nothing missing! ! ! With the loving furnishings and the low thatched roof, the house welcomed us and gave us a feeling of "arriving home" and security. . . . . . (Storm and rain outside on the dike surely contributed to this) It would be helpful in the directions to mention the house number: Especially in the dark, the house and the driveway are hardly visible from the road. Navigation devices reliably guide to the correct address. It is also interesting to know that there is not mobile reception with all networks in the house. Outside in front of the house, it works with most providers.

It is a great house property with outstanding amenities, where we spent two very relaxing weeks. Our expectations were fully met or even exceeded overall. The living atmosphere is cozy to luxurious. Most things are new or like new, and some character furniture adds patina. It is simply enjoyable to be able to live there. As for the location, one can spend very quiet hours both in the house and in the beautiful garden. However, one must accept that, depending on the wind direction, it can sometimes smell very strongly of livestock farming for a longer period of time. Unfortunately, this has partly crossed the line of unpleasantness.

We felt very comfortable in this thatched roof house. The house is very tastefully furnished (compliments to the interior designer) and technically up to date. The kitchen is well equipped: hand mixer, food processor, casserole and baking dishes, etc. (a short instruction manual for the cooktop would be helpful). We had ordered two bicycles. This was unnecessary, as even 2 bicycles were available (should have been known). We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the very beautiful, sheltered garden to the fullest. We will definitely come back again.

We, a family with a dog, spent a relaxing week in this house. Nothing was missing. The kitchen is equipped with everything, including good knives! The entire house is very tastefully furnished, you simply feel comfortable. The garden invites you to relax, whether in the beach chair, on loungers, or on one of the benches around the house. Besides the buzzing of bees or the chirping of birds, you don't hear much here... With the bicycle (2 are even available! ) one is at the dike in a few minutes. We know the area, but for holiday guests who are visiting this region for the first time, some brochures and information material about the region would surely be helpful. For a quiet, relaxing holiday, we can only recommend this house!

Preliminary: We (2 couples) spent a lovely week in the house. The house had everything needed for daily use. We could imagine booking the property again and would recommend it to anyone. If one wanted to make suggestions for improvement or points of criticism, then the following: 1.) In the bicycle storage room, there were some full garbage bags that were already emitting a strong odor. We wanted to dispose of them, but the trash can was already overflowing. 2. ) One more towel / bath towel would have been appropriate. 3.) There was no informational material regarding excursions, tips, etc. from the surrounding area available. But as I said: This is nitpicking at a high level.

We really enjoyed the autumn days in Eiderstedt. The beautiful house made it easy for us! After a walk along the dike and a hot shower in the tasteful bathroom, winding down the day by the fireplace was a treat. The house is beautifully furnished, very clean, and the care provided by Mrs. Volquardsen left nothing to be desired. Only the lighting situation is not optimal. But this may not matter in summer when the days are long... And if there were still 2 small cooking pots, that would be nice. We would come back, Volker and Brigitte Boehnke.

We felt very comfortable in this house. The owner has really furnished it very tastefully. For that reason, it stands out when many furnishings come from Ikea. We found that a bit unfortunate - also and especially because everything was so well coordinated. The individual pieces among the furniture were all exceptionally beautiful! Sleep would certainly benefit if individual windows in the rooms were equipped with fly and mosquito protection. Then it could be ventilated without being disturbed by mosquitoes and flies at night. We would like to encourage that. Some of us would have also wished for curtains in the bedrooms. Not everyone is used to sleeping in brightness - in summer, an early awakening is the consequence. Perhaps curtains are possible without disturbing the open character of the house? Otherwise, everything is really great, and the house has a very nice atmosphere. Thank you very much for that!

Perhaps a bit far from the "action," this holiday home offers something special! Outside an old farmhouse, inside lovingly renovated and furnished with an eye for the essentials. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning and enjoying the evening sun on the loungers in the garden, that's how a vacation should be. Everything very clean and newly furnished. And in Oldenswort, about 7 km away, there is a bakery, a general store (in the truest sense of the word), and a great butcher shop. We will definitely come back!

A great house with very nice furnishings in the middle of the Eiderstedt Peninsula, ideal for bike tours and trips to charming towns like Husum or Friedrichstadt. The drive to the beautiful beaches of St. Peter Ording takes about 30 minutes by car - so not a location primarily for a beach holiday.

The house is visually very beautiful both outside and inside. However, the secluded location is not quite as quiet, as a road runs directly behind the house. Since we had wonderful summer weather, the harvest was in full swing, so the tractor noise continued all day and into the night. However, with the window closed, it is completely quiet. The furnishings are very good, especially in the kitchen, I missed nothing. Unfortunately, there is a big minus point for cleanliness, as the pillows, decorative cushions, and also the toilet were in an unacceptable condition. If this point is improved, we would gladly return to the house Achter de Diek.

The cleanliness was very good, but a toilet seat that is not yellow from urine deposits would be desirable. Such utensils must probably be replaced more often. Likewise, the toilet brush!!! In a holiday home that is designed for 6 people, there should also be a corresponding number of garden chairs; only 3 chairs are simply too few! The benches in the garden are, on the one hand, in a state that needs renovation and are also dirty, and would be way too heavy for transport! In the kitchen, a ladle is missing, and I also missed a potato masher. Those who rely on a reliable internet connection are unfortunately out of luck. Internet is often unavailable, but the landlord is not to blame for that. The floorboards are a dream!!!! The dining table is not.

The weather was not very good to us this time. We really appreciated a cozy house with flair. In the living room, we moved the seating a bit, which made it even cozier. The arrangement should be considered, there's still room for improvement. Otherwise, everything was exactly to our taste, and we (and our dogs) felt very comfortable. The holiday home is beautiful and we had a lovely and very relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, so we spent a lot of time in the holiday home. However, there were a few points of criticism: the house was completely covered with spiderwebs from the outside (facade/roof) when we arrived. Yes, this is nature, but such a beautiful old house could be regularly cleaned to avoid this problem so severely. The many stains on the walls inside the house also indicate numerous visitors. Over time, this does not look nice. Unfortunately, the beautiful unobstructed view in the garden was overgrown. The willows, wild roses, and many birds are wonderful in the garden. BUT the view was missing! This was really a shame and not alleviated by the bench on the street (which also had a great view). I ask you to see this as a suggestion and not as criticism. The house's equipment is really great and the bathtub is fantastic. Best regards.

Mixer, great kitchen appliances (Zanussi!) etc. and beautiful dishes in perfect condition are available. The WiFi invites you to take a break...not really suitable for home office. But that's not why you're there anyway. People - like me - over 6'2'' would appreciate a little "warning" on the 2nd beam from the bottom of the stairs - you have to duck your head. The broken chairs were replaced by the friendly gardener (yes, there is one too!). Very tasteful decor! The beds are great. Sufficient towels and more. Great garden, wonderful property. Very quiet location. Not exactly cheap - but worth its price. We would like to come back!

Beautiful cottage with tasteful furnishings matching the style. You live below the wind-protected dyke. The road is rarely used and a small bench at the entrance invites you to linger. From here you can enjoy the sunset or experience the atmosphere of the wide country. Inside the house it is very cozy and well-maintained. High-quality wooden floors and carpets. Bathrooms very exclusive with a freestanding bathtub on the upper floor, kitchen of the latest standard. We felt completely comfortable. It was perfectly clean. You have to specify in advance which bedrooms should be made up, otherwise only one bedroom is prepared. There were also 2 bicycles available, although only one was usable. We will gladly come back.

Absolutely recommended. The only disadvantage is the very limited possibility for walking routes, which has already been mentioned in other reviews. You can either go left or right along the road. No circular route or anything. But otherwise absolutely top, especially on hot summer days.

The flat is a dream, perfectly equipped, nothing is left to be desired...from tea maker to coffee maker and dishwasher. Beach chair and garden furniture round off the comfort. Despite the road situation, a vehicle passes by here 1 time per hour, very quiet. Nearest neighbours 500m. Great facilities, seating a bit uncomfortable, but complaining on a high level. Everything available, from toaster to microwave and other appliances. For those who don't love nature, the nest of jackdaws in the fireplace screaming from 4am in the morning probably wouldn't have been so great, but it didn't bother us much. With a dog, the morning and evening rounds are rather boring, i.e. along the dyke road or you dare to go into the field. A toilet cleaner was missing, but that was all! We had a very good rest!

It was our second holiday in Achter de Diek and that already shows that we felt very comfortable there. The house has everything you need for a holiday, the garden is so sheltered that you can sit there comfortably even when it's windy, it's very quiet there and even the nightly mowing didn't disturb us in any way. We, three adults plus dog, spent two weeks at Achter de Diek at the end of September - beginning of October. A very beautiful old thatched house, which has been renovated very carefully and to a high standard. There is nothing to complain about in the two bathrooms - except, as almost everywhere, too few hooks. The floorboards in almost the entire house are not only a visual delight, but also pleasantly warm thanks to the underfloor heating. However, the heating first had to be brought up to speed. The team of Ferien an der Nordsee took care of it in an exemplary manner. The kitchen is also very nice, there is plenty of crockery, but for more than three or four people the pots and pans might be in short supply. There is a masher, but no simple potato masher and no soup ladle, but sharp knives. We slept very well in the beds/on the mattresses. Dog owners should be aware that morning or evening walks are only possible along the road or in the side street (dead end). In addition, the property facing the street (driveway and stairs) is not secured. At least a door on the stairs would be helpful. Despite the small inconveniences, we were overall very satisfied with the house and would book it again.

We had cosy days in the house. It is very tastefully furnished, very nice floorboards, doors and stone tiles. There was nothing missing in the kitchen. At the beginning it was quite fresh in the house, but already the next day it was cosy and warm with the underfloor heating. To activate the tiled stove, we bought wood once. It draws very well and makes it even cosier. A beautiful cottage with atmosphere. Highly recommended.

High-quality and tastefully renovated and furnished house for individual holidays, ideal for long walks on the dyke and excursions to SPO, Husum, Friedrichstadt, Hoyerswort, Tönning, and more. Rich furnishings, perfectly suited for a relaxed holiday with or without dog, excellent prompt service from the landlord. We were there for the second time and will gladly come again.
