This exquisite farmhouse located in Montemor-o-Novoc of Alentejo region has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 9 people. Ideal for groups, it has a shared swimming pool and a pond which for you to relax and rejuvenate while enjoying the holidays.
Try out the local delicacies in the restaurant just 8 km away. You can collect all your groceries from the supermarket, just 5 km away. Located only 100 m from the forest, the farmhouse offers a chance to take a long walk through the woods.
A garden or a terrace offers a lovely time with your loved ones while enjoying a sizzling platter of barbecue with your dear ones. Air conditioning is provided to keep you comfortable inside. High chair and childrens bed are provided on request if you are travelling with your kids.

Herdade da Giblaceira has been a household estate for more than 400 years in the village of Montemor O Novo, at about 95km. from Lisbon and 36km from the former royal city of Evora in the countryside of Alentejo. The estate is situated in a valley at an altitude of 260m., in a valley of the Serra de Monfurada, surrounded by mauresque gardens, an olive orchard, a reservoir and about 200 hectares of cork oaks, where cow and sheep pasture. When the Dutch owners acquired the property, it was a ruin, which they completely restaured to its original state in 2005. The farm is divided into 7 terraced cottages, of which one is used occassionally by the owners. The Herdade is provided with a beautiful communal swimming pool (10x20m.) with a small diving-board and Roman stairs,
where non-swimmers can also bathe delightfully. There is a communal laundry-room and the owners can arrange several activities for you (jeepsafari's, flight tours in ultra-light aircrafts). Swimming and fishing is possible in the nearby reservoir, measuring 4 hectares. The farm is in full swing, with 150 cows and bulls and 1200 sheep, lambing throughout the whole year. The barns and tractors are at 500m from the Herdade. Montemor O Novo is about 7km from the estate and the small village of Reguengo disposes of a minimarket, a post-office and 2 café's serving light meals. Every 2nd
Saturday of the month, a gipsy market takes place. In May and September
'feira's' are held; a sort of fair with loads of activities. Once a week, a cattle-auction of national importance takes place in Montemor.
Herdade da Giblaceira offers you everything for a great holiday; beautifully equipped apartments, a large storage reservoir and a magnificent swimming pool.
The last 3 km of the access road to Giblaceira is not asphalted but is always kept in good condition by the owners who use this road daily.

Beautiful environment! Joke takes great care of her flowers. The domain is really super beautiful and idyllic. Nice large (fresh) swimming pool, spacious terrace and great hostess! We loved Joke! Furniture a bit outdated, but charming.

We landed at Zaventem (Brussels) a few hours ago and we enjoyed very nice holiday. The house is very nice and beautiful location. As you drive through the cork tree plantations it is hard to imagine that there is such a hidden gem in zit.Het domain is a 300 ha. Every day the shepherd with his sheep and two sheepdogs over. There is a beautiful, very large, brand new zwembad.De sweet hostess made sure that we have our home immediately voelden.Waar one does need to keep in mind is that you have a car, preferably a solid. The roads to the indescribable domain are bumpy and sandy, which only adds to the very special nature of this stay. Family Van de Velde - Joos

Friendly people who manage the complex, it is a very beautiful area, there is a beautiful fruit and vegetable garden and the owners also give you something to use. The location is somewhat remote from civilization.
