This nice holiday home near Covas has 2 bedrooms. It is ideal for a family. The veranda offers a beautiful view over the river, the terraces and the valley.
In the area you will find many authentic villages, such as the slate village of Piódão. Visit one of the typical Portuguese markets, such as Tábua (10 km) and Arganil (20 km). The Serra da Estrela National Park is about 30 minutes by car. The region is a paradise for those seeking tranquility, hikers and nature lovers.
The semi-detached holiday home is located together with 4 other holiday homes and a few camping pitches on Quinta do Retiro. There is a beautifully landscaped ecological swimming pool for shared use, filled with water from its own source. Due to natural filtering, this is clear bathing water. Next to the pool is a sun terrace with a bar (self-service). For the children there is a play area with a sandbox, a swing, a slide and a trampoline. On the quinta are many fruit trees, olives and grapevines.

The Quinta do Retiro Farmhouse Complex is in a small, enclosed valley. The valley has a terraced landscape and covers around 9 hectares. The grounds are 350 metres above sea level. The complex is just outside the village of Covas in the Beira Litoral region. The area is known as Middle Portugal. This typical Portuguese farmhouse complex was restored in 2008. It was converted into a small holiday complex with four holiday homes. There is an ecological swimming pool in the middle of the estate. The pool is for shared use. It is filled with water from the farmhouse's own source. The pool is within walking distance of the holiday homes. The water is crystal clear due to natural filtration methods using stones, plants and small fish. The swimming pool is surrounded by a sun terrace. There is a play area with sand-pit, swing, slide and trampoline. The grounds have fruit trees, olive groves and grapevines. A small river with rockeries and miniature waterfalls flows through the grounds. This undiscovered region has a charming, rugged, hilly landscape. It is a paradise for walkers and lovers of natural beauty. The Serra da Estrela Mountain Range and National Park is around 30 minutes away by car. There are many picturesque villages in the area. These include Linhares and the slate village of Piodao. Typical Portuguese markets such as Tabua are 10 km away and Arganil is 20 km. Visits to the student city of Coimbra or Mira on the Atlantic coast, around 95 km away, are highly recommended.

We greatly enjoyed the holiday home, the facilities and the environment. It is a lovely house and found it very nice to relax outside.

Low-key obsessed with the outdoor space, Garden vibes are immaculate and the play area for kids is a nice touch, Also, free WiFi is clutch for posting those sunset pics

We had a pleasant stay at this semi-detached home, It was spacious enough for our family of four, and the layout worked well for us, While the shared spaces could get a bit busy during peak times, we found plenty of spots to relax, The nearby restaurants offered delicious local food, and the overall vibe of the place was very welcoming, A nice place to recharge, but we did find the Wi-Fi a bit spotty at times

We had a wonderful stay at this semi-detached holiday home in Covas! The view from the veranda was absolutely stunning—overlooking the river and the lush valley, The location was perfect for our family, with plenty of nearby villages to explore, We especially loved visiting Piódão with its unique slate architecture, The kids had a blast at the shared pool and playground
