Holiday park Emslandermeer is a large holiday park in the east of the province of Groningen, not far from the Dutch-German border. The village of Vlagtwedde is about 1.5 km away.

Holiday park Emslandermeer has a wide range of facilities for young and old. There are playgrounds, sports fields, minigolf, tennis courts and of course the lake. This is the ideal place for swimming, canoeing or fishing. When the weather's not great, you can go to the subtropical swimming paradise with children's pool. Adults can enjoy a range of wellness activities. These include a solarium, infrared and traditional sauna, and a bubblebath. An (à la carte) restaurant and take-away service make it all complete. You can pick up fresh bread rolls every morning.

A range of day trips can be taken in the local area. These include: Amusement park Drouwenerzand in Drouwen (29 km.), Fortress Bourtange in the town of the same name (7.5 km.), Wellness Resort Fontana in Bad Nieuweschans (25 km.), Ballorig (an indoor playground for children) in Stadskanaal (14 km.), The Groninger Museum in Groningen (54 km.), The Hunebedcentrum in Borger (30 km.), Wonderwereld in Ter Apel (23 km.) and Family Park Rijk der Kabouters, fun for children up to 8 years old in Eext (35 km.). Of course, you can also explore nearby cities such as Emmen (41 km.), Groningen (54 km.) or Assen (54 km.). All with their own character, but there are always opportunities for shopping, absorbing the culture or having a lovely meal or drink in a nice restaurant or terrace. (Long) hike and / or cycling through the natural surroundings of Emslandermeer holiday park are also possible.

We had a lovely stay at the holiday home near Emslandermeer, The space was perfect for our family, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen, The garden area was a nice touch for the kids to play in, and the location was peaceful and beautiful, Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our time here, The layout of the home worked well for our group, and having two bathrooms was a big plus, The outdoor space was great for relaxing after a day of exploring the area

We really enjoyed our stay in this holiday home. It was clean and comfortable, and having a dishwasher made everything easier. The location near the Emslandermeer was so peaceful, and we spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden. The outdoor pool was nice too, but needed some maintenance. All in all, an excellent value for money and we would definitely come back!
