There are three different types of holiday homes for rent at Holiday Park Emslandermeer.
There's a standard 6-person holiday home (NL-9541-21). This house is beautifully furnished and features a living room and open kitchen. There are houses of this type with one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor, or three bedrooms on the first floor. There are always two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. Some holiday homes feature two bathrooms, while others feature one bathroom on the ground floor. The bathroom has a shower. There is a separate toilet and a storage room with charging point for electric bikes.
There's also a comfort type with the 6-person holiday home (NL-9541-22). This holiday home features a living room with TV on the ground floor with a (limited range of) German channels. There is an open kitchen with dishwasher. You'll find a shower in the bathroom. There are houses of this type with one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor, or three bedrooms on the first floor. There are always two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people.
Finally, there is the 8-person comfort holiday home (NL-9541-23). This holiday home features a living room with TV on the ground floor with a (limited range of) German channels. There is an open kitchen with dishwasher and a combination microwave or oven. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub. There is also one bedroom with two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one of which with two single beds and one with two bunkbeds. There are, however, holiday homes with a different bedroom layout (three bedrooms upstairs with a total of eight single beds, whether or not set up for two people, or one bedroom on the ground floor with two single beds and two bedrooms upstairs with two bunkbeds each).
All holiday homes feature a garden with terrace and garden furniture. There's parking space for two cars. The exterior, interior and furnishings differ between holiday homes. The photos shown, the description and the layout are only an indication. The holiday homes are available in a semi-detached and/or detached version.

Location and surroundings of object
Holiday park Emslandermeer is a large holiday park in the east of the province of Groningen, not far from the Dutch-German border. The village of Vlagtwedde is about 1.5 km away.
Holiday park Emslandermeer has a wide range of facilities for young and old. There are playgrounds, sports fields, minigolf, tennis courts and of course the lake. This is the ideal place for swimming, canoeing or fishing. When the weather's not great, you can go to the subtropical swimming paradise with children's pool. Adults can enjoy a range of wellness activities. These include a solarium, infrared and traditional sauna, and a bubblebath. An (à la carte) restaurant and take-away service make it all complete. You can pick up fresh bread rolls every morning.
A range of day trips can be taken in the local area. These include: Amusement park Drouwenerzand in Drouwen (29 km.), Fortress Bourtange in the town of the same name (7.5 km.), Wellness Resort Fontana in Bad Nieuweschans (25 km.), Ballorig (an indoor playground for children) in Stadskanaal (14 km.), The Groninger Museum in Groningen (54 km.), The Hunebedcentrum in Borger (30 km.), Wonderwereld in Ter Apel (23 km.) and Family Park Rijk der Kabouters, fun for children up to 8 years old in Eext (35 km.). Of course, you can also explore nearby cities such as Emmen (41 km.), Groningen (54 km.) or Assen (54 km.). All with their own character, but there are always opportunities for shopping, absorbing the culture or having a lovely meal or drink in a nice restaurant or terrace. (Long) hike and / or cycling through the natural surroundings of Emslandermeer holiday park are also possible.

The house in which we would stay according to Belvilla was not available. Fortunately, there was another house available at the park, which we could use.
The receptionist told me that the park had often informed Belvilla that the information that Belvilla spreads about the homes in their park is incorrect. Unfortunately, Belvilla has not yet done anything with it, people continue to spread wrong homes / photos with incorrect information about numbers of bedrooms, as we have experienced.

The apartment was not cleaned and full of dog hair, especially the sofa. We couldn't use it. The staff was always friendly, it was cleaned quickly and roughly.

What has really disappointed me is the communication between Bellvilla and the park and me, that would be monitored closely and as far as the bookings are concerned, Bellvilla says including final cleaning and the park says you have to pay here, but I don't get it.

The photos on the website are a bit misleading, it shows a nice side view with a balcony on the 1st floor. Not to be seen in our house. The linen ordered was incomplete, and the TV was very small, more like a computer screen. Moldy shower curtain. Outdoor furniture very old and the bbq still full of butts and old charcoal. All in all, not a nicely equipped house. Actually very dissatisfied, I can't do anything else about it.
