Steenwijk is located at the head of Overijssel. On the wet westside this picturesque town borders on the water region of Giethoorn and the Weerribben. On the dry eastside you will find the nature areas De Woldberg and De Eese. In this area of 1500 ha. you will see forests, heaths, fields, charming farmhouses and a small castle. You will find two cottages in this fabulous region: De Arendshorst en De Valkenhorst.
De Arendhorst is a cosy house with 2 floors, equipped for 16 persons. There are three bathrooms, one at the upper floor and two downstairs. In the middle of the room there is a cosy open fire. Of course there is enough seating room both in the dining- and the living area.
For groups with a different composition than family, a deposit of 1000 euros is requested.

Residence de Eese is located in a forested area in Northwest Overijssel, a stone's throw from Drenthe and Friesland, and borders the De Woldberg and De Eese forest complex. In addition to chalets, the holiday park offers a charming campground. The park was originally an old estate, which can still be seen in the old stands of beech trees. The forest pond on the property was dug 140 years ago. The ground that was excavated then is characteristic of the entire area, hence the name The Hump. Residence de Eese is a multifaceted holiday park where order and cleanliness are at the fore, and where persons of all ages will never be bored. The area is a region which seems to have been created for walkers and cyclists. Whether you choose to walk or go by bike: the options are endless and varied. In the region you will find the conservation areas of De Weerribben, De Wieden and the Dwingelerveld, the forests around Vledder and Appelscha, dolmen-rich Havelte, picturesque Giethoorn and the old towns of Steenwijk, Vollenhove, Blokzijl and Zwartsluis. But you can experience everything in the park. There is a wonderful open air swimming pool and various playgrounds. The charming restaurant with bar makes the picture complete.

Arrival was good. The accommodation did not matter very much and was not very clean. The surroundings are beautiful. We were in the fall holiday so some later in the year.

We very much enjoyed our holiday. Delicious close Giethoorn where we had a wonderful day. The cottage is pretty good, no problems with neighbors, perfect for large groepen.Jammer that there was no indoor pool, in the rain is not something to do on the park. They will be organized in the little park zelf.Ook we missed a small park store for groceries.

It is nice place with many vacation to spend. The house is fully equipped, the owner is very friendly, we were there earlier than 4 hours, the grandchildren, even though the weather was not cooperating, in and around the house wonderful time. Space enough. It was a nice weekend.

With my children and grandchildren during the May holiday in Arendshorst been, where we feel good to have kept. The rooms are spacious. The bathroom was fine and the kitchen works well. We had bad weather, but the space in the house is big enough for the kids to play. Many rooms have three and / or four beds, which is a bit annoying when the layout. However, with the shift of the light beds it is good to solve. Definitely recommend for families. Fam. Lutz - The Hague.

We celebrated in Arendshorst our 35 wedding anniversary. The grandchildren had plenty of space to play above the bedstead she loved. Our parents were downstairs, and had a private bathroom. We advise everyone to go to the Eese. Thank yet.

For those not looking for perfection but charm this is a great house, well equipped with everything needed in beautiful surroundings and the beautiful key lady is very flexible in its implementation rule.

The cottage has a spacious living room with 15 people where you can stay without problems. The inside is well kept. The neighborhood is nice and fairly quiet. We would be able to come back once.

Pool of the campsite next to the complex is a must. For € 2.50 you can use the pool and play area of u200bu200bthe campsite. Giethoorn is a must. Well nice early "smorgens on the road otherwise you risk that the boats are on. If you want fresh bread from the bakery in Steenwijk (next C1000) it is convenient to order.

We had a family weekend with 15 people and celebrated here's the Sinterklaas. Children between 6 and 10 years found the bedstead great to sleep in and play. Hart was very good weather so the kids could play outside. We as adults have a lot of space to relax and be together.

Delicious enjoyed a cozy home. Extensive use of open fire. The hospitality and service from the owner and staff of the park were exceptional. Nothing too crazy and everyone was ready for us. The special beds arranged by a local home care organization were a godsend. For example, our two disabled children can sleep safely, could be well cared for and we really can get anything out of them.
