There are no less than seven different types of 4-person accommodations at Resort Reestervallei.
The modern Pavilion (NL-7955-32) is a 2-bedroom holiday home each with two single beds or a bunk bed. It's fitted with a combination microwave oven and a dishwasher. The high windows let in lots of daylight. Modern and comfortable interior.
The Berkel chalets (NL-7955-33) are a bit more basic. One of the two bedrooms is furnished with a double bed (or two single beds) and the other one with two single beds. Some of these chalets are fitted with a nice gas stove instead of central heating. Fully furnished.
The Velhorst (NL-7955-34) chalets may not look as modern from the exterior as the Mystique and Pavillion chalets, but you'll be surprised: the interior of these chalets is luxurious and comfortable. They're fitted with a microwave oven and a dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, one of which has two single beds. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds or a bunk bed. Some of these chalets are white and others are wooden for a more rural style.
All of Resort Reestervallei's chalets are detached and they're all ground-floor accommodations. They all have a TV, electric kettle and a coffee machine. Each chalet comes with its own garden and terrace. During the season, you'll also have garden furniture at your disposal.
The various types of chalets all have different exteriors and interiors, but even chalets of the same type can have small individual differences. The descriptions and pictures shown are for illustration purposes only.

Location and surroundings of object
Resort Reestervallei is located by the ancient peat river De Reest, just like the name suggests. It's only 2 km from the village of IJhorst and on the other side you'll find the border between Overijssel and Drenthe at the same distance. Both provinces can therefore easily be explored from the so-called "Kop van Overijssel".
Resort Reestervallei offers a number of facilities for both young and old. There's a reception, a modest outdoor swimming pool with paddling pool and a restaurant. Here you can of course have a bite to eat, but you can also get a cup of coffee with a treat. There's also a petting zoo, mini golf, a playground and a tennis court. Everything is there, but not big or large-scale, making sure that you can always enjoy your well-deserved break in peace. At only 3 km from the resort you'll find playing pond De Zwarte Dennen, located in the Staphorst forest. Here you'll find a nice sandy beach, lawns and a playground for the children. Because the water deepens only gradually, it's an ideal place for (smaller) children. During high season you can get drinks and snacks at the kiosk.
There's more than enough to do in the area. A few tips for nice (day) trips are: the nice city of Zwolle with its diverse offer in shops, boutiques and nice restaurants and outdoor cafes (22 km). National Park Weeribben-Wieden, the largest contiguous peat swamp of Northwestern Europe, is also certainty worth visiting. Giethoorn, also called the Dutch Venice, with a trip on the water (17 km). The Staphorst Experience Path, near recreational lake De Zwarte Dennen, is also recommended. Here you'll meet everything that has to do with the forest in a different way. A noise hut, a colour room and a maze; all of this is less than 4 km away from the resort. For dolmen enthusiasts Havelte is certainty worth a visit (16 km). Amusement park Slagharen is worth a day trip (17 km). Staphorst is about 8 km away. For golf enthusiasts there's Pitch and Putt Koekange, a beautiful 18-hole golf course that fits perfectly in the landscape. From the resort you can also visit the province of Drenthe and even the Veluwe can be easily reached.
In short: you can fully unwind in Resort Reestervallei, enjoy your well-deserved holiday and head out to explore the diverse surroundings. Happy holidays!
Reestervallei resort is in the Reestdal to the north of Overijssel. Located in a forested area. It has various facilities for young and old and is only 3 km from a paddling pond. the black pines with sandy beach, lawn for sunbathing and a children's play area. An ideal base for those who want to explore the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel.
Wi-Fi is included. However, this is a basic internet connection. There is higher-speed internet available as well, which can be arranged at the reception desk. Bear in mind that this comes with an additional fee.
For groups of people under 25 years, an additional security deposit may be requested.

The decor and accommodation was fine. Just OK. Environment very good. HéérlijkAls small improvement point I advise the landlord to make a mini-manual for microwave / oven and dishwasher. A big downside we found the restaurant which belongs to the park. We decided to eat at the restaurant in the restaurant last night. The peppercorn had fallen over the lettuce. The fries were tasty and crispy and the satay was utterly spoiled. After reporting this we were fired with a half roast schnitzel which was tasty.And than the bill. Scandalous. But I left it that way. Acting was top-notch, but the cook refused to believe that the meat was spoiled.

Nice accommodation in a fantastic place chalet nr: 117 Arrival day was quite warm and the curtains were open so 30 degrees inside. We had already done the shopping but unfortunately the fridge was off and the freezer was full of water. After a complaint about the cleaning, the response was excellent and the cleaning was improved. Furthermore, it was great to our liking. Good food at Annelies in the Reest, cozy. There could not be fished in the fish pond, very unfortunate.

The arrival was neatly arranged, we were well received. The accommodation was nice, neat and clean. It would be nice if mosquito nets are placed here. It also got very hot inside, so you had to open the windows in the evening. Perhaps a fan is also a good idea with the standard inventory of the cottage. The area was beautiful and there are plenty of activities and places to visit in the area.

Little high planting around the accommodation when you sit at the table at the dining room to eat and to hear something that can not be because it is too busy and that the cook can not handle that can not in our eyes. You have GVD a table. So we have not been back here again. The surroundings are very nice

What we did miss was a DVD player. The TV was fine, but every now and then you want to be able to play music. Our house was located on the water, and that was an advantage in our opinion. We could see the fish swimming. During our stay the resort was fireworks free (forbidden to light fireworks). That suited us well, we had just "escaped" the big city because of the fireworks. The environment is beautiful. Many beautiful nature reserves in the area, nice villages and a big city (Zwolle) in the neighborhood.
