Holiday park Gerner is located in the picturesque surroundings of the Vechtdal. In any season, the unspoiled nature in this area can be discovered by wonderful walks and fantastic cycling trips. This natural location is extra special, because it is an ideal starting point for excursions to: Zwolle (ca. 15km.), Deventer (ca. 40km.) and Harderwijk (ca. 54km.). There is a wellness centre right near the park where you can relax. For sports activities, you can play tennis or hire a squash court. Only 100 m from the holiday park there is an open air swimming pool offering fun for the whole family. The Gerner country estate has all of the ingredients for a lovely stay with many different activities.

The country estate of Gerner is a quietly located holiday park that has a great power of attraction throughout the year for anyone who is looking for the beauty and peacefulness of nature.

Use of sports centre facilities for a fee. For further information on these facilities, you can ask at reception.

There is a lovely open air swimming pool open in the spring and summer months, within walking distance from the park, where you can have some water fun (for a fee). For indoor swimming fun, you can hop in the car and go to Zwolle. That swimming pool is called "De Vrolijkheid". Here there are various competition lanes and also a recreation pool with a slide, whirlpool, wildwater creek and climbing wall.

The access barrier at the holiday park opens by means of license plate recognition. Please give your license plate number by telephone to the reception of the park before your arrival.

It was a badly maintained house with cracks in the bath, a broken countertop, a broken garden chair and probably fleas in the quilt. Upon arrival we were kindly told. The complaints have been reported. A new garden chair was set up and explained that the cottage needed to be renovated. I told the front desk that this is not the house on Belvilla's image but that these houses are on the other side of the park. At the front desk she said that Belvilla used only 1 picture of a cottage. This is misleading. About the area nothing but good, great bike routes, great restaurant adjacent to the park.

The cottage is not perfect and was not super clean, there is still something to be done here.

It would be nice if the owner would fix it up a bit, for example: in the bathroom, the shower tray does not connect so the water runs towards the toilet, the cupboard under the sink is old and you leave it behind to put something in there. So there are some points of attention. The location of the house is fine although it is difficult to find because there are no house numbers indicated on the paths. All in all, we had a great time, the area is beautiful and we enjoyed cycling. We put the bicycles in the house at night because the storage room was full and we could not store the bicycles there, which was a pity.
