This cozy vacation home in Veendam features a nice terrace and a good location close to a swimming lake. There is room for up to 6 people and there are 2 bedrooms. It is the ideal choice for a vacation at home with the family. There is also a wonderful 6 person Jacuzzi available for you to use. Especially in the winter months this is enjoyable.
Just 500 m away you will find a swimming lake, where you can spend the day relaxing in the sun. The area is perfect for hiking and you can rent horses to explore it in an alternative way. Further away you will find a playground, where children can play carefree.
The house is attached to the equestrian center, which houses over 60 horses, and the owners' home. It does have its own terrace and therefore a lot of privacy. The terrace also has a hot tub, and 2 bathrobes. One of the bedrooms in the house has 2 bunk beds, and there is a washing machine.
It is possible to bring your own horse or horses for a fee.
Please notify the owner in advance.
Bicycles can be rented at Rijwielhandel Parkstad in Veendam. Reserve in time!
Canoes can also be rented and the owner is happy to help.
Also for dogs it is a paradise here. Dogs are welcome and the whole yard is fenced.
The complex was completely repainted and refurbished last summer.
The open kitchen will help you take care of your hunger pangs and washing machine will help sort your laundry woes.

We have been here last week with our family (2 daughters aged 12 and 9) and grandmother and had a blast! The cottage is super fully furnished, everything is there; Senseo, combi microwave, kettle, dishwasher, washer / dryer, BBQ ..... Saw in previous reviews that the house is recommended for 4 people and I do share that opinion, since there is 1 bedroom with a 2 -person bed and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds, which are in need of replacement. But we had a great stay, didn't spoil the fun! We had great weather, so we mainly lived outside and enjoyed the nice large garden, the jacuzzi and the beautiful surroundings of the Borgerswold nature reserve. A lovely recreational lake with a beautiful beach, water park and water ski / wakeboard track, hospitable people! At the time we stayed the horses (and the owners) were still on "holiday", so we could not take lessons at the riding school itself, but because of that It was quiet and the kids (and I) still had a great time. The staff was also really super friendly and we were still able to ride a horse at a riding school nearby. All in all, highly recommended, especially when the weather is nice! We had a very nice week. The children enjoyed being among the horses. Very nice owners. Even with corona you will not be short of anything with a garden with a trampoline, slide, swings and jacuzzi. It is also beautifully situated next to the forest, which was ideal for our dogs. In short, we had a wonderful week, only the beds are clearly in need of replacement.

Very nice house with all amenities, beautiful surroundings with lots of forest. We have been here with 2 children (4 and 1), the girls loved the riding school, petting zoo, play equipment, jacuzzi. For us, the evening was lovely in the jacuzzi, with a beautiful view of the forest.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The garden is completely fenced, so that our dog could play freely. We had very nice weather, so we lived almost completely outside. In bad weather, I would recommend the cottage for a maximum of 4 people. We sat in the jacuzzi, had a BBQ, rode the kayak and the boys water-skied in the nearby lake. The supermarket is within walking distance, while you are in the middle of nature. While we were there the horses were on vacation. I can imagine that it is otherwise a bit busier in terms of sound, etc. And we had a lot of flies and mosquitoes, but that has now been solved with a good fly curtain.

We were warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The accommodation exceeded expectations: we had plenty of space and thoroughly enjoyed both the private garden and walking in the adjoining park. The location is great for people with children and / or dogs.

Unique place in a riding school. Nice house with large garden with unobstructed views and very friendly owners. Nice environment for all kinds of activities. Especially wakeboarding on the lake was a favorite. Really recommend!

Cozy atmosphere, we got a short tour of the accommodation and everything was great for each other !! The area is beautiful green, quiet and beautiful nature around the accommodation. The garden is fenced so great with a dog or small children! The landlords are hospitable and very nice. The jacuzzi in the garden makes it complete! We will definitely come back here! Really nothing to criticize.

The place is fantastic, nice view and nice environment. Very nice for walking and our dog could run loose in the enclosed garden. The occasional shock when you come out the door and there is a horse in front of you, but that only made the experience more enjoyable.
