A wonderfully nostalgic home from the old days, but with the comfort of today. Where else can you find a 1.60 by 2.00 m box bed? The living room also has a fireplace and a double sofa bed. This makes the house suitable for a couple or a family of 4 people.
Opposite the house, you can fish, but bring your own fishing tackle. There are several supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance and there are plenty of trips to make in the area. How about the fortified town of Bourtange (18 km), the city of Groningen (60 km), Wildlife Adventure Zoo in Emmen (20 km) or a ride on the steam train on the STAR museum railway? This runs from Groningen to Veendam.
Dogs are very welcome here and have all the space they need, besides, they cannot leave the large yard because it is completely fenced.
For dinner, you can prepare meals on the barbecue. The beds will be made on arrival. For a surcharge of 55 euros per weekend, 55 euros per midweek and 90 euros per week, you can use the hot tub and fireplace (wood included, pay to the owner upon departure).
Wood for the hot tub is provided, it is NOT allowed to bring your own wood. This is due to special processed wood that is used.

We had a great experience at Ons Nest in Musselkanaal. After the consummation of our wedding (unfortunately during Corona), we still wanted to make it something special by booking a short trip through Belvilla. Fair is fair.. Our Litter exceeded all our expectations! Beforehand we had contact with the owner to dress it up especially for our wedding and I must say that they did a great job. The 2 owners are very friendly people and are always there for you. In addition, the location is very well maintained and very idyllic. It feels as warm as "coming home to grandma". A nice fireplace in the living room, a very luxurious box bed and a lovely wood-fired hot tub to enjoy. The location is also excellent with nice cities and beautiful nature around it. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back for our anniversary!

We were welcomed by the landlords very friendly. The welcome was a basket of wine, chocolates and even treats for our dog on the table. The cottage is decorated with love. Since we travel with dog, we often book holiday homes and can therefore allow us a judgment. In Ons Nestje, nothing is missing, everything is thought through to the smallest detail and you just feel well. The outdoor area is also cozy and tastefully furnished, in addition to a wonderful location. The hot tub is the highlight in the outdoor area. If you arrive by car, a parking space on the property (carport) is available. The location is ideal for those seeking peace, quiet on the outskirts, but again central to the shops within walking distance. Also ideal for tourists with dog, as the property is fenced and just in front of the property only a small feeder road along. Otherwise you are right in the countryside. We spent a wonderful week in this house, thank you very much to the landlord family and will be back.

We were kindly welcomed by the owners, on the table there was a basket of sweets and even a dog for the dog. The cottage was very cozy decorated and super clean. Towels were well stocked and even wearing bathrobes when using the hottub. We enjoyed, from the cozy cottage, the fireplace on the millstone, the best, the hottub and the beautiful surroundings.

A very warm welcome for us and our dog by the owners. The cottage is located next to the house, but the (fenced) garden offers sufficient privacy. Quiet location with little traffic noise on the edge of the village, shops within 5 minutes walking distance. cottage is really equipped with all imaginable necessities and squeaky clean. Our dog could really appreciate the fat bed prepared for him, snacks and the underfloor heating. The area is very suitable for walking and cycling trips in Westerwolde.

We were half an hour early, but that was no problem, very nice hostess and sir. My husband was 50 years old and everything was decorated and a very sweet card with a basket full of delicacies. So far, very nice, and we can another day and a half!

It is in the Musselkanaal a great place.We have enjoyed the last 2 weeks at "Ons Nestje". Despite the corona you have absolutely no problems with this. Is very hospitable and ensures that it is a carefree holiday.Everything is arranged to perfection.And everything is taken into account.You really have your own place and your car is safe on your own site.Shops within walking distance. in the province of Groningen a lot to do what to do also in corona time if you book on time you can go anywhere in this way. From the house you can walk to a walking area where the dog can go. There are also shops and supermarkets within walking distance. Many nice villages in the area. The owners live next to the cottage and are very nice and helpful.

Our litter? My litter! The owners of Ons Nestje are the textbook example of Hospitality. The welcome is super cordial, the scented candles that are already burning, the cozy decor, the super-fully equipped kitchen, the welcome basket with a treat for Laicka and the boss. Sleeping in the box bed, the fireplace in the living room, have your own hot tub. All plus points? well actually yes. If you have no idea what you want to do because there is so much to do and see in the area, ask Piet and Willy for suggestions. They have them. Or do nothing at all. Our litter is the place to fully refuel. Of course there are house rules and they can seem strict. I'm sure it's a matter of giving and taking. With great pleasure I go back to Ons Nestje again.

The cottage itself was attractive, I was very happy when I walked inside. They had completely brought it into Christmas, it was romantic and beautiful! Very well equipped and also the bedstead slept well. The fireplace and hot tub made the complete complete.Made a house for the rest i.v.m. OudNieuw, this is not the right place (which, incidentally, I was looking for, incorrect information obtained). There is a large apartment complex 50 meters away. Are you vegan or vegetarian because of the animal welfare, then I would not book this house. The house hangs and is full of stuffed animals. In one of the earlier reviews it says that the garden is fenced, so the dog can walk loose. This was not the case, it was the intention that I would capture my dog to the existing chain so that he could not get near their dogs (near the fence). In my opinion, in 2019 you do not put your dog on the chain anymore. So no free vacation for your dog (s). Incidentally, fenced, but not the intention that your dogs run loose. For a romantic weekend for two, this is definitely a must, you do not need the terrain.

We were kindly received by Piet and Willie and they also had a nice gift ready for us. Everything is well taken care of in the house that is fully equipped. We spent a week during Christmas in Ons litterje. To our surprise, the house was decorated. Without the Christmas decorations, the house is still very atmospheric. The house is fully equipped and we have not missed anything. During our stay even a laundry was allowed to run by the owners. Contact with owners was pleasant. Even though the house is next to the house of the owners, you have complete privacy. The garden has a good fence so that the dogs could walk freely. We will definitely come back again.

We (married couple with dog) stayed in the holiday house "Ons Nestje" for Christmas. On arrival we were greeted very nicely by the landlords. The entrance was illuminated by laser lights, the hottube was filled, the house was decorated inside and outside for Christmas. There was a decorated Christmas tree, candles, nice table decorations, a basket of sweets and wine for us and Lekkerlies for the dog and a Christmas crib. There were enough towels, even bathrobes were provided. The kitchen equipment also left nothing to be desired. The bedroom was very cozy and there were 4 pillows. In about 10 minutes by car you can reach the next larger town (city channel) with good shopping and shopping facilities. Everything for daily needs can also be found on site, within walking distance. We had a very nice vacation there and can recommend the holiday home without reservation.

The atmosphere of the cottage is a combination of rural Groningen with a hunting lodge. Everything has been thought of. Sweet hostess.Rustic, quiet and stand still in time. We had a fantastic time.

A warm welcome from the Schuurman family, whether two-legged or four-legged. Everything has been lovingly furnished, decorated and fully equipped. we were a bit early because we had to leave on time at our previous house, called Willie if we could go and that was possible. A very friendly welcome in a cozy house. A warm welcome from the Schuurman family, whether two-legged or four-legged. Everything has been lovingly furnished, decorated and fully equipped. We really enjoyed the hot tube, the open fire on an old millstone, even cooking on vacation. The Schuurman family attaches great importance to the privacy of their guests. Were there in January and now in September and will book “Ons Nestje” again. Highly recommended!

We spent a week during Christmas in Ons litterje. To our surprise, the house was decorated. Without the Christmas decorations, the house is still very atmospheric. The house is fully equipped and we have not missed anything. During our stay even a laundry was allowed to run by the owners. Contact with owners was pleasant. Even though the house is next to the house of the owners, you have complete privacy. The garden has a good fence so that the dogs could walk freely. We will definitely come back again.

It is in the Musselkanaal a great place.We have enjoyed the last 2 weeks at "Ons Nestje". Despite the corona you have absolutely no problems with this. We were half an hour early, but that was no problem, very nice hostess and sir. My husband was 50 years old and everything was decorated and a very sweet card with a basket full of delicacies. So far, very nice, and we can another day and a half!

Lots of modern comfort, nice old things. What a cozy corner in the large garden, how nice the morning and the evening sun. Sleeping in the box bed was very comfortable, because the bed is extra wide. Excellent bed linen too. And wonderful, underfloor heating in addition to the possibility of stoking an open fire.

Nice spot, plenty of privacy and just a nice break. The cottage has everything (radio, TV, DVD) but invites you to read and relax. With our 3 week old daughter and that went fine. During corona 01-2021 not much to do in the area in the form of hiking or something.Spareribs at "the occasion" order!

A nicely decorated, well-kept, complete and clean house. A wonderful garden with a hot tub that we enjoyed every day. We were looking for peace and we found it here! From the house you can walk to a walking area where the dog can go. There are also shops and supermarkets within walking distance. Many nice villages in the area. We had a great experience at Ons Nest in Musselkanaal. After the consummation of our wedding (unfortunately during Corona), we still wanted to make it something special by booking a short trip through Belvilla. Fair is fair.. Our Litter exceeded all our expectations! Beforehand we had contact with the owner to dress it up especially for our wedding and I must say that they did a great job. The 2 owners are very friendly people and are always there for you. In addition, the location is very well maintained and very idyllic. It feels as warm as "coming home to grandma". A nice fireplace in the living room, a very luxurious box bed and a lovely wood-fired hot tub to enjoy. The location is also excellent with nice cities and beautiful nature around it. Highly recommended, we will definitely go back for our anniversary!

The cottage itself was attractive, I was very happy when I walked inside. They had completely brought it into Christmas, it was romantic and beautiful! Are you vegan or vegetarian because of the animal welfare, then I would not book this house. The house hangs and is full of stuffed animals. In one of the earlier reviews it says that the garden is fenced, so the dog can walk loose. This was not the case, it was the intention that I would capture my dog to the existing chain so that he could not get near their dogs (near the fence). In my opinion, in 2019 you do not put your dog on the chain anymore. So no free vacation for your dog (s). Incidentally, fenced, but not the intention that your dogs run loose. For a romantic weekend for two, this is definitely a must, you do not need the terrain.

There was a fresh bunch of flowers on the table, a basket of wine, chocolate and two delicious fresh apple turnovers. The radio was on and there were delicious scented candles. What a welcome feeling !! The house was fully furnished with everything you can think of, CDs, DVDs, books, magazines, games, puzzle books, coloring books ....... We were kindly welcomed by the owners, on the table there was a basket of sweets and even a dog for the dog. The cottage was very cozy decorated and super clean. Towels were well stocked and even wearing bathrobes when using the hottub. We enjoyed, from the cozy cottage, the fireplace on the millstone, the best, the hottub and the beautiful surroundings.

The cottage was fully equipped, whatever you could think of that was present. Bed slept well and the bathroom was nice too. Only downside was total unwillingness of the owners. We could not come on Monday, the usual check-in day, because the owners had something private and the house was not ready, but we had to pay partially for that day, even though we could only check in on Tuesday. Check-out was also punctual, there was no possibility to check out an hour later as compensation for the "lost day". Also, the owners did not come to say hello when checking out, so we closed the door behind us and walked to the car. Then the man came after us to ask for money for the hot tub and the wood. Lovely house, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Everything is spotless. We have cozy sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine and made nice trips to Bourtange, among others. We were kindly received by Piet and Willie and they also had a nice gift ready for us. Everything is well taken care of in the house that is fully equipped. A very warm welcome for us and our dog by the owners. The cottage is located next to the house, but the (fenced) garden offers sufficient privacy. Quiet location with little traffic noise on the edge of the village, shops within 5 minutes walking distance. cottage is really equipped with all imaginable necessities and squeaky clean. Our dog could really appreciate the fat bed prepared for him, snacks and the underfloor heating. The area is very suitable for walking and cycling trips in Westerwolde.

the hot tub is delicious heating up for the first time took a while but when it's warm it's great. cottage is super complete and cozy and clean. lovely garden where you discover something new every time. you will not get bored in the house either. really back to the past but the comfort of now.
