This independent holiday home has been recently renovated, but the wooden beams on the ceiling and the terracotta tiling have been preserved. The house is an excellent starting point for exploring Tuscany! Discover the home furnishings, welcoming and with pure lines, and enjoy all the services it offers you both inside and out. Cool off with a nice dip in the shared swimming pool, or start a good book on your private terrace (with fantastic views!). There is also a barbecue! Really ideal if you want to organize a nice dinner under the stars. What better way to end the day! The holiday home offers a beautiful view of the Tuscan landscape. You can go to Monterchi to shop, go to the bank or go to a restaurant. If you want, you can also explore the area with the two mountain bikes in common! Tuscany offers many attractions: just 30 km from the house there is for example Arezzo, one of the largest cities in the region and the birthplace of great artists, such as Petrarca and Vasari, near the house there are two medieval towns that are absolutely worth a visit: Sansepolcro (17 km) and Città di Castello (15 km).

Beautiful place! Nice cozy house fully equipped. Owners are super sweet and the welcome with a bowl of antipasti was very nice after a long drive. Recommended.

Are received with a large plate with bruschetta and chilled bottles of water and white wine, how welcome do you want to feel? It was a renewed acquaintance for us (we were also in Il Fienile 3 years ago), and it felt like coming home again . What a lovely house !!! A lot of privacy, a large, completely fenced and closed garden (our dog could roam around freely), a nice place with chairs in the shade under the mulberry tree behind the house, with beautiful views over the valley and a beautiful and well maintained (shared) pool in the garden next to that of Il Fienile. And fine WIFI) Beautiful villages and towns in the area, to stroll around and drink a delicious espresso or cafe doppio on the terrace of the village pub. A must to eat is La Pieve Vecchia something outside Monterchi! Delicious pizzas, tasty typical Tuscan / Umbrian dishes and stunning views of Monterchi !!

Warm welcome, nice people. We came already for the fourth time and really felt at home. The cottage is authentically furnished. In case of problems (the oven did not work), the owner immediately gets to work to solve the problem. The environment is beautiful. You look out over a walnut orchard. Arezzo, Sansepolcro and Corona are nice cities to visit. Slightly further afield Siena, Florence and Montepulciano and the Chianti region are worth a visit.

We are for the third time in this accommodation where you are warmly welcomed by the owners. It is a truly beautiful property, in a picturesque location, on a mountainside overlooking a valley of walnut trees, towards some Tuscan hills. A beautifully landscaped garden and pool area invite you to relax and cool off. The house is spacious and furnished with furniture typical of the country. The beautiful garden is maintained by the 89-year-old landlord, although it has given him some trouble over the years. Unfortunately, he does not speak any foreign languages, so it would have been pointless to send our comments on the accommodation. Please rate this review as well-intentioned advice, then many more guests can spend their vacation here in this beautiful place been repaired. Since the rental prices have risen by around 40% over the period, a few euros in the maintenance of this really beautiful property could certainly also benefit a better booking. At the time of our stay, only 2 out of 6 weeks, there were 2 other guests here. (Nice for us) to complain about in the detached house we live in:- yellowed toilet and seat- shower partition rusted, silicone joints yellowed- washing machine badly rusted- terrace furniture rusty, seat cushions worn- no sun protection (umbrella) on the terrace (we have from fetched pool)- dishes are a hodgepodge of all sorts but enough!- fridge drips and rubber seal crumbly- dirty, stained seat cushions- the mattress on the single bed is saggy- living room set dirty (covered with throws)- the safe cannot be used because the landlord has forgotten the code (for 4 years) - during the final cleaning, care should be taken to ensure that the previous tenants put the dishes clean in the closet, sorry

Hard to find, via Google Maps we ended up in no man's land. Fortunately over the phone with the owner we arrived at our destination. The welcome was warm with a bottle of wine and tasty snacks. The cottage is fully equipped, the view is beautiful and the garden is equipped with a lot of privacy. The shared pool is large, pleasant in temperature and equipped with enough sunbeds.

Welcomed by older owner (70+) with a bottle of wine and some goodies to eat. Enclosed garden is great for pets. But the house has had its day. I have made several pictures of the condition of the house. After 2 days of rain it became very damp in the house

Can not find immediately. contact was not available by phone but on site. Warm welcome.Looking accommodation even though the device is urgently needed for renewal and refreshment (maintenance apparently does not make sense of cleanliness). Good base for exploring the area. Pleasant neighbors and helpful homeowner (though aged and only Italian speaking). During fourteen days no internet and was not resolved.
Roeland Bracke
Very nice, very friendly people! However, if you ask for a Wi-Fi password, they are referring to 2 public Wi-Fi networks that you can receive at times, but at unfortunate speeds. For our 2nd time in 14 days we will meet that a booking with Belvilla. First was on a weekend trip, but on a low holiday trip of 14 days, a good Wifi is a must!

It is a very nice house, spacious enough and the furnishings are more than adequate. It is a quiet place to relax. The view is beautiful, the swimming pool is neat, the beds sleep well and it does not get too hot inside (September, outside during the day 28 degrees). The WiFi is good enough to stream TV on your laptop. Recommended location!

Beautiful environment is a lot to see. There are good restaurants nearby. The house is clean, has a lovely garden with plenty of privacy. Nice pool in the garden of the neighbors. Nice view!

This beautiful house is in a remote corner of Tuscany, near the border with Umbria, which is not trampled by tourism. For connoisseurs it is a good location for Piero della Francesca masterpieces respectively. to admire Arezzo, Sansepolcro and Monterchi. The house is situated in a quiet hamlet (Scandolaia) on a hill. The Sunday market in Monterchi, 4 km. away, is a must for stocking good quality food.

The review of Il Fienile is short but a great house in a great place with a great garden and a great pool. Actually, we would have to tell anyone this, and the good all must keep to ourselves ... because we want to, of course, next year!

A very warm welcome by the owner and there was homemade bruschetta and a bottle of wine waiting for us. It is a rustic house with all amenities and a nice pool. Lots of privacy and great views of the hills and farmlands.

Very beautiful house with a perfect swimming pool, where our kids (10 + 8) where most of the day. The hostess where very nice people which made us feel really at home. In the surrounding of Le vile there are many nice villages.

Arrival literally fell into the water due to thunderstorms and unfortunately also power outages. Owner friendly but did not understand a word of English. Later we understood that a neighbor (very nice man) normally does the translation. Regarding the accommodation, we expected more, also because the description states that it was recently renovated. This is definitely not the case. The plumbing is considerably outdated. The kitchen meets, but is also not optimal (fridge leaks occasionally) and is also not really very clean (pans and crockery must be washed before use) and occasionally there was a sewage smell in the house. Very nice is the large living room and the privacy of the terrace.

Great to find with the Google maps data. Warm welcome with a snack and drink. The house is neat, do not expect a luxury villa, but just a nice house. The terrace outside is lovely, we also actually lived outside. Beautiful views and an occasional swim in the wonderful swimming pool. The upstairs rooms are very warm when the weather is nice, we bought a fan on site at the electronics store. We also had a few very hot days. In Sansepolcro you will find larger supermarkets and is a nice village. Citta di Castello and Anghiari are also nice villages. Arezzo is also close by and worth seeing. In Monterchi you will find restaurant Al Travato (on top of the mountain) where you can eat delicious food from a simple menu.

Great arrival. Owner does not speak English but luckily the neighbor solved that for us by translating. He did speak English. Owner had a plate of bruschetta ready and a cold bottle of wine. Delicious!

Location + pool + friendliness very good, very pleasant tourist-friendly area, facilities good, not so good: the occasional sewer odor in the house that was warned in previous reviews applies, we noticed this very annoying odor even when sitting on the terrace; a modernization would do the bathroom good. When sharing a pool with a hostel next to it, it can get noisy and crowded.
