Host Antonio is a wonderful host, very attentive. The breakfasts and dinners that can be ordered are delicious. He has a little paradise. Massarella is an excellent starting point to explore many places in Tuscany. In the surroundings, you can also take beautiful walks. Simply fantastic.

Beautiful and functional apartment with a beautiful pool. Kitchen was well equipped. Good location, between all major cities. We would recommend anyone to book this apartment especially because of the wonderful Antonio and Marina, the hosts, who pampered us throughout the holiday. On arrival we received a tray of local and homemade snacks. We also regularly found trays with tomatoes or grapes from our own garden in front of our door. We have enjoyed almost 2 weeks here, beautiful location with swimming pool and equipped with all conveniences including a properly working WiFi system. The owners Antonio and Marina do everything to make their guests happy. We were immediately received with delicacies from our own kitchen and garden on arrival and immediately familiarized with the home and the immediate surroundings. It was also possible to arrange breakfast and dinner with them. Highly recommended, we had an excellent dinner and got the feeling to experience real Italian cuisine. Many restaurants can learn something from that. What a nice relaxing holiday, one to never forget. Highly recommended if you like peace and beautiful surroundings. But also a location less than an hour from Florence, Volterra, Lucca and Pizza. The area is hilly and very beautiful. There is not much to do in the village of Massarella itself, but thanks to our host Antonio and hostess Marina we have never missed that. We will definitely come back here again.

We had a week of the apartment in Masserella at the end of June. Antionio welcomed us with a delicious dish of homemade snacks. Antionio and his wife Marina are exceptionally hospitable and have been very well looked after all week. It is possible to book a daily breakfast or dinner that we have been grateful for, very tasty food. The pool is lovely to cool off in the hot days and the terein has several places to sit outside. The apartment is well furnished and contains everything you need. I can recommend this stay to anyone!

Nice location, Florence, Lucca and Pisa within a good driving distance (30-45 min). Neat apartment, not very modern, but everything is there. Very nice swimming pool with umbrellas / canopy. Peaceful stay, beautiful garden. Very sweet host (and wife, especially our host). In the morning there was often fresh fruit from their garden on our table on the terrace. You can enjoy a delicious dinner for a small fee. The only drawback of our terrace was that there was no partition wall or the like with the neighbors. .

Reception very pleasant. The cottage was neat and clean and the owner came along with a bottle of wine and a fruit dish. The location is central in Tuscany you are reasonably fast everywhere (Florance, Luca and or Pisa.) You are also close to the autostrada when you are tired of the bumps on the state roads. The stuff in the house is complete with some small televisions and the wifi is not always reliable. After I understood that it was a disruption in the village itself in our period. On departure we received a bottle of own olive oil from the owner.

During our stay it was 45 degrees so very warm in the apartment. No air conditioning but a fan.
Swimming pool is lovely and tidy. Of course we used it a lot. It is small-scale so never busy at the pool. Often the pool to ourselves.
Sunbeds are not all in good condition. Garden around the pool beautifully maintained and the whole thing really exudes tranquility. Lots of mosquitoes so some Deet is not superfluous.
Antonio makes sure everything is tidy and that nothing is lacking. A perfect host. Speaks a little bit of English. It is an ideal base for Pisa, Lucca and Florence. Large supermarkets or Decathlon within 20 minutes drive. Bar in the village has nice as. Opening times are variable I believe.

Tip if possible take bikes and park on the outskirts of towns and continue by bicycle (except to Sienna due to steep streets!) Within 6 hours from Schiphol Airport via Florence we came up with the car in to our apartment, wonderful experience to be right on the beautiful and clean pool. Good base to Florence, Sienna, visit. Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra Might day at the beach in Forte dei Marmi and Vinci (museum and birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci)! Tip if possible take bikes and park on the outskirts of towns and continue by bicycle (except to Sienna due to steep streets!) Lack of Internet is easily compensated by the beautiful surroundings and the opportunities that are available. Overall highly recommended for tranquility!

We (couple) stayed in Massarella (end of August / September 2013), a wonderful holiday. The apartment was spacious and clean and reasonably well equipped. Very nice pool area with natural water. Perfect weather. Particularly noteworthy is the very nice owner who supplied us with fresh tomatoes including delicacies. Would definitely make holiday there again.

Very hospitable owners, who received us with homemade crostini appetizer and "s, too, we were regularly surprised with delicacies from the orchard or homemade desserts.Echtpaar speaks only a few words of English, in our case conversation with hands and voeten.Appartement complete and well cared for, very traditional decor. (plastic tablecloths, etc.) Weekly clean bed linen and towels. Great views from the garden / pool. Quiet surroundings. Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Siena easily accessible village itself is not touristy, we were the only ones. . Apprt is definitely recommended.

We have been able to enjoy a week here. The apartment is clean and spacious enough for 2 people and is located in a quiet area. We were warmly welcomed by Antonio with delicious antipasti. He and his wife have arranged breakfast and dinner for us a number of times for a small fee. At dinner we were served Tuscan wine (which he makes himself) and vegetables come from his own garden. Definitely recommend using this. Antonio is a sweet hospitable man. The pool is next to the complex, is spacious enough and is well maintained. Plenty of places to lie in the sun or under the parasol. The location itself is convenient for Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, Florence. Within a fifteen minute drive there is a large supermarket, restaurants and a train station. A one-way ticket to Florence costs only 6 euros and within 45 minutes you are in the center of Florence.

The location is central in Tuscany you are reasonably fast everywhere (Florance, Luca and or Pisa.) You are also close to the autostrada when you are tired of the bumps on the state roads. The stuff in the house is complete with some small televisions and the wifi is not always reliable. After I understood that it was a disruption in the village itself in our period. On departure we received a bottle of own olive oil from the owner.

A great apartment. Equipped with all amenities. The host, Antonio, wants to make it as easy as possible for you and is very friendly and helpful. Antonio speaks mainly Italian and a little bit of English. Great stay to see all kinds of sights in the area.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the owner who showed us around the property and our accommodation. A small gesture of welcome also with some small local preparations. The place is calm and relaxing. The apartment conforms to the description given during our reservation. Very well maintained by the owner. Surroundings of the swimming pool very friendly. Small flat, no air conditioning although the temperature exceeds 30 ° every day. We recommend this place.

Within 6 hours from Schiphol Airport via Florence we came up with the car in to our apartment, wonderful experience to be right on the beautiful and clean pool. That holiday feeling Beautiful views of the hills from the pool. The village is centrally located between Massarella Florance, Pisa and close to Vinci (birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci). Homeowner lives 100 meters away, barely speaks English but is very friendly, attentive and approachable. Decor is simple and plumbing is clean. On arrival, the first week of July 2017 is warmly welcomed by Antonio and his wife Marina with delicious snacks. The accommodation is authentic Italian, we had brought a kettle ourselves which was very handy. In addition, we missed nothing, Antonio provided us with a delicious breakfast every morning at an affordable price. It is also possible to order dinner in the evening by complimenting 3 course menu, complete with wine and espresso at a good price. Location is very suitable for trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Vinci, Chianti region and the beach. Lovely garden with swimming pool where you can cool off after a day out. The hospitality of the owners was very large! Very warm welcome with treats and drinks. Very obliging throughout the holiday. Bottle of olive oil at the afscheid.Schoon apartment, beautifully situated pool with sunbeds in the shade, very small apartment so dependent on the weather because indoors is not pleasant. Price quality all right. Small (three apartments). Possibilities for many trips around Lucca, Montecatini (with cable car), Florence and Pisa.

We were received super nice and hospitable with all local snacks and home-made wine. The house is in a quiet village where you have nothing else. However, this is wonderful if you come for peace, because you definitely get peace there. Environment is beautiful, hilly and green. The owner is very nice, welcoming and helpful. Really only speaks Italian, but a little English.

A pearl; a beautiful location in a typical Tuscan region. We have enjoyed almost 2 weeks here, beautiful location with swimming pool and equipped with all conveniences including a properly working WiFi system. The owners Antonio and Marina do everything to make their guests happy. We were immediately received with delicacies from our own kitchen and garden on arrival and immediately familiarized with the home and the immediate surroundings. It was also possible to arrange breakfast and dinner with them. Highly recommended, we had an excellent dinner and got the feeling to experience real Italian cuisine. Many restaurants can learn something from that. What a nice relaxing holiday, one to never forget. Highly recommended if you like peace and beautiful surroundings. But also a location less than an hour from Florence, Volterra, Lucca and Pizza. The area is hilly and very beautiful. There is not much to do in the village of Massarella itself, but thanks to our host Antonio and hostess Marina we have never missed that. We will definitely come back here again.

We had a week of the apartment in Masserella at the end of June. Antionio welcomed us with a delicious dish of homemade snacks. Antionio and his wife Marina are exceptionally hospitable and have been very well looked after all week. It is possible to book a daily breakfast or dinner that we have been grateful for, very tasty food. The pool is lovely to cool off in the hot days and the terein has several places to sit outside. The apartment is well furnished and contains everything you need. I can recommend this stay to anyone!

Beautiful and functional apartment with a beautiful pool. Kitchen was well equipped. Good location, between all major cities. We would recommend anyone to book this apartment especially because of the wonderful Antonio and Marina, the hosts, who pampered us throughout the holiday. On arrival we received a tray of local and homemade snacks. We also regularly found trays with tomatoes or grapes from our own garden in front of our door. Nice location, Florence, Lucca and Pisa within a good driving distance (30-45 min). Neat apartment, not very modern, but everything is there. Very nice swimming pool with umbrellas / canopy. Peaceful stay, beautiful garden. Very sweet host (and wife, especially our host). In the morning there was often fresh fruit from their garden on our table on the terrace. You can enjoy a delicious dinner for a small fee. The only drawback of our terrace was that there was no partition wall or the like with the neighbors. .

Antonio is top notch! On arrival a bottle of homemade wine and delicious snacks prepared by his wife. Every morning antonio came to say hello and he was always available if we needed anything! All facilities are available and located in an excellent location. Also well near major cities (Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Siena). Highly recommended!
