Mountain mornings near Lake Iseo tend to begin quietly, with mist hanging above the valleys before the cycling trails, lake roads, and terrace lunches slowly pull the day outdoors. This spacious villa near Artogne sleeps up to 12 guests across six bedrooms and combines alpine scenery with the slower Mediterranean rhythm that shapes summers around the lakes of northern Italy.
Most afternoons drift naturally between the private swimming pool, shaded terrace, and long lunches overlooking the mountains while evenings settle around the barbecue once the air cools down again. The house feels lively without becoming crowded, especially with large communal spaces, games rooms, and multiple terraces allowing everyone to spread out comfortably throughout the stay.
Lake Iseo and Pisogne can be reached within roughly 20 minutes for lakeside promenades, paddleboarding, and beach afternoons along the water. Montecampione lies around 30 minutes away and becomes one of the region’s most popular skiing and mountain biking areas depending on the season, while the prehistoric rock carvings inside Luine Archaeological Park can be reached within approximately 22 minutes in the Camonica Valley. Guests looking for quieter scenery should also visit Lake Moro roughly 26 minutes away for woodland walks and swimming, while the panoramic lakeside road toward Lovere passes through some of the most dramatic viewpoints around Lake Iseo.

We were very kindly welcomed by Adolfo and quickly (in English, no problem at all) briefed on all areas. On the table were some groceries and wine ready for our first evening - we found that very thoughtful. The rooms in the villa were all generously sized, there was enough space for all of us, and the number of bathrooms was perfect (8 adults and 2 dogs)... the view into the valley was sensational and made up for a few minor flaws (e.g. Chair worn out, sofa back broken, stains on the floor on the ground floor. . . . ) overlook inside the house. . . . The large covered terrace was anyway our main living area. The kitchen setup was functional, sufficient for our needs (a toaster would have been desirable in our opinion). The pool was heated and clean (however, the heat pump did not achieve more than 22/23 degrees water temperature, which was okay for a short swim given the outside temperature). The only downside and therefore not full points from us: the lower rooms 2 bedrooms/bathroom/living room were quite damp and it smelled like that! - during the day, you could run the dehumidifier, but at night it was not possible due to the noise. Not necessarily recommended for someone with allergies... There were fly screens installed on all the windows, which was good. One could play table tennis (sufficient paddles available) and a ball game with sticks - similar to billiards. The approach is a bit more exciting, a smaller road up the mountain - the entrance to the villa is quite steep, but still passable (even with a larger VW bus). The exercise with the dogs was a bit challenging, as one had to walk directly on the mountain road (was surprisingly relatively busy at certain times). Otherwise, we were very satisfied with our stay, can recommend the house further, and thank you for a lovely week! !

The villa provided a great base to explore the surroundings. We loved using the terrace for breakfast, and the children had a lot of fun with the party games in the recreation room.

Bij aankomst werden we heel hartelijk ontvangen en het hele huis bleek piekfijn in orde gemaakt. Wij werden nieuwsgierig bekeken door herten (achter het hek) en boven ons zweefden steenarenden. In Artogne kun je goed terecht bij onder meer de bakker en in de omgeving is zoveel te doen en te zien dat we snel nog een keer terug willen!
Komen graag een keer terug!!
