A castle with a real "Marquis" who rents out a number of apartments, makes wine, where you can go to get married or if you want to organize a fashion show. Very nice people. Clean authentic apartment. Beautiful garden. .Beautiful environment but also to do well by train Genoa.Delicious week.

It was not clear before us that in the castle wine tasting gemaakt.De the castle owner was fine for a time along maken.Achteraf we also bought some bottles of our favorite town wijn.Het Ovada at approximately 4 km away, is not very touristisch.Hierdoor you the real Italian life view and meemakenKasteel Gentile is an excellent base for the city of Genoa on the Mediterranean and Turijn.Ook it is doable to Monaco to visit.

Gentile is a good base for nature and wine-sea and city breaks to Milan and Turin. Recommended to do this by train. The lord is welcoming and a visit to the wine cellar you should definitely not miss. The accommodation is basic and authentic. Something we like it, but if you like a lot of luxury, you may find it too basic in equipment (basic kitchen, no dishwasher, well hobs and oven). The beds are very zacht.Om at the front door, and in the garden, you need to come first brick path down which in rainy link. Then a flight of stairs to the front door. So we feel it is absolutely not suitable for people with walking difficulties. For all others simply a must. If necessary. children will be able to entertain themselves well and be satisfied with a large common-garden.

We were very warmly welcomed by the owner. The atmospheric environment gave us an immediate holiday feeling. The big (beautiful) enclosed garden was great garden chairs and a barbecue. The apartment was fine, spacious kitchen. We have several times visited the beach (half hour drive) and are further in Genoa (three quarters) and Turin (been over an hour). Beautiful area with lots to see. The village has a bakery. The (large) supermarket is five minutes drive away. For children there is not much to do in the village. A must for those who like peace and quiet!

The Castel is beautiful. The landlord is perfectly friendly accommodating and helpful. He is always available for questions. The staff is very friendly. The wine is very tasty. The people in restaurants and shops are remarkably friendly. We are happy to come back.

We enjoyed our two week stay at Casa Gentile. Host Markies Luca Pinelli Gentile welcomed us most sincerely and during our stay Sarah, this summer's host, was always available for any questions (and purchasing wine) .The apartment is charmingly decorated and kept the cool walls cool while the temperature Outside quite properly. Casa Gentile is located directly on the large garden that can be used by all apartments. It is a huge garden with large linden trees, various terraces and a hammock, at least enough space. During our stay, this garden was used for two wednesday weddings. On the Saturday of our arrival, a disco party was held at 2200, the Markies informed us in advance that he offered us another apartment or wanted to arrange a night for us. We have struck this because we survive an Italian wedding party. We had a nice party, but we did not disturb ourselves (and a bottle of Spumante from the house emptied). On the second Saturday a dinner for 180 people was held in this garden. The construction started before, so you have to come along as a guest when you use the garden. The evening itself we were eating in Ovada and finally we saw the tail of dinner from a small terrace in the backyard. If you do not want to encounter this kind of thing during your vacation, then you can rent another apartment. We did not disturb ourselves. What's very nice is that the Markies arranges with the wedding couple that guests of the apartments can join the wedding aperitivo. Very special to pick up something of an Italian wedding in a castle. All in all, we had two feelings that we lived at the castle and heard it. Fantastic host and hostesship by Luca and Sarah. Nice apartment as part of the medieval village next to the castle. The garden is large, private to the 2 apartments, with a fantastic panoramic view. Wine tasting with the tour through the castle is a must! Very friendly owner Luca and hostess Louisa. Both speak English well. We have enjoyed great!

Beautiful house on the property that belongs to the castle. Very welcoming reception by the owner, family and staff. At the house we had rented has a large garden, where we (and the dog) could use. Tour of the castle and the wine cellar with a closing wine tasting, provided by the owner himself. Fine stay if you like a quiet holiday and to explore the area (with the car or road bike / mountain) The cities of Genoa and Turin are 45 and 75 minutes.

Very good and friendly welcome with wine from the castle. We noticed that there were no espresso cups and we had drunk our coffee from a tea beaker. That same afternoon there were espresso cups. The owner had a tour in the castle and of course visited the wine cellars and tasted. Nice base to explore the area.

On arrival we called the owner and he made sure Pia received us. A very welcoming welcome. Pia told us a lot and explained. It is a very old but atmospheric apartment if you like history and old buildings, you are in the right place. The area is very beautiful.

Tagliolo Monferrato was a special experience. The castle itself is truly fairytale, the Gentile apartment of high quality and the garden an experience apart, thanks to its beautiful view and the shady trees. Genoa is three-quarter drive and a very special city. The nearby Parco Naturale had good hiking trails.

Apartment in a wing of the castle, very nice place! There is not much to do in the village, except for the local pub that borders the entrance of the castle. Shared garden is large and nice, but you need anti-mosquito spray!
