Magnificent manor house with beautiful apartments. Not overly fancy but very nice. Nice location, green surroundings. Walking, cycling, water sports (Lac des Bourges). I want to go back there!

We spent one week in early August here. The accommodation was better than the descriptions on the website. The apartment was breath taking. The resident site manager was very helpful and attentive. We used the castle as a base and made day trips to Geneva, Annecy and nearby lakes. A few things could have been better the children's bedroom was dark and got very hot at times. An Air conditioner could improve the situation. The pool is also a little small for the number of families (10) that use the site. We enjoyed our time and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed for a week in the "Salon du jardin" in this replica (built in 1904) of an old Turin castle.
As minuses we mainly experienced the light. In the living rooms, two luminaires hang from the high ceiling. Half of the lamps were broken, so it was very dark in the evening. It is therefore not an easy job to replace a lamp here: so high! Tip: hang two stately old-fashioned long chandeliers here and you will kill a few birds with one hit: the lighting fits in with the whole, the lower lighting gives more light and replacing lamps is easier.Outside there was too much light: the outside lighting of the castle was on until after one o'clock at night. However, the room with the sofa bed could not be completely darkened (only shutters for the lower windows), which was annoying.
But we like to end with the positive notes: we really enjoyed the castle! What a nice feeling to drive up the driveway here for the first time (but also afterwards) and see the castle looming through the trees of the beautiful park. How nice it was to take in the grandeur of that salon, hear the parquet creak under your feet and operate the old windows and doors. How nice it was to enjoy the courtyard, in the garden and the water features around.
Do we recommend this castle as a holiday accommodation? Absolute!

spacious holiday apartment in a historic ambience! Stylishly designed, very well-kept house, very quiet, beautiful pool, great landscape for a quiet lake and hiking holiday. Good care of the guests, always approachable. The bedrooms are a bit dark and small, but this is made up for by the ambience in the large dining room and in the whole castle!

We are greeted very friendly welcome to this beautiful location by the host and were given a brief tour of our rooms. As well as a welcome basket with bottle of wine and coffee in it, very nice and kind. The setting is lovely, and the stay was very enjoyable.

The castle is a great place, well sheltered from the mountainside. It has a beautiful heated pool, where life is good. Especially at temperatures above 30 degrees as we had in July. The apartment (Salon du Jardin) is spacious, but the decor is downright dated. Virtually every seat has sagged and the table we had to fix it on arrival. There are only three burners for cooking, which is particularly low for six people. Furthermore, it lacks a freezer in the fridge and no oven. That's in the kitchen quite improvise, or rather camp. It is all in all not the allure you expect when booking. Nevertheless, we had a great holiday, not least by the caretaker (who replaced the manager) who always stood by us in word and deed. And with the extreme temperatures, it was not particularly cool in the house!

Lovely apartment in a castle a la the castle of Mr. van Bommel. Tisch bomba with many baroque elements. The location is also a great base for Lac du Bourget, Col. La Grande Colombier, Annecy and the Massif des Basseur. You can go walking, cycling, mountain climbing, castles and culture in the cities pick. Near the castle is a lovely garden and a little bit cold, but nice pool. In short, all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday are here. Plus, you can fine wines in the immediate vicinity obtain.

This castle is really beautiful! Spacious apartments, large garden, lovely pool in warm weather. The kids enjoyed it very much and swam and played all day with other children. Even with bad weather, there is plenty to do in the area (museums and shops in Chambéry, Geneva, Annecy, Aix les Bains).

Very nice apartment, modern and ancient at the same time, functional and spacious (the veranda is gorgeous !!). The garden is very pleasant, spacious and with a beautiful view. Negatives not very thorough cleaning (pieces of bread in the microwave, pizza pieces in the high chair), and considering the price that "you have to pay (75 euros ....) we were shocked! Ants there has everywhere .... we spent the "vacuumed daily to avoid leaving crumbs on the floor .. The castle is surrounded by trees and mountains, he n" is not much light and heat the "apartment suddenly we spent most of the time in the garden.

We want to live castle life and "objective is fully met. The surface of" housing can not feel on top of each other. The Garden Fair provides access to a fountain that has rocked our breakfasts, what happiness! The guard made all efforts to that "it feels good, it keeps smiling despite the huge work of" maintenance. Cosmopolitan world (Dutch, English, German, French). For children, activities on site, pool, table tennis, table football, small rides starting from the castle. We recommend Châtillon range for its equipment (pedal boats, water skiing, supervised swimming and nice restaurants, good value for money)

Beautiful scenery, wonderful location, warm welcome and stay in the castle. Very worthwhile to go back someday. As the motorcycle enthusiast, we have enjoyed the scenic routes, nature and the pretty villages.

Beautiful castle in a great area with plenty of activities. The salon du jardin is (as the name suggests) close to the large garden on the ground floor. The apartment is spacious and classic, and well cared for. Thanks to the various seating areas, it is possible to eat outside and play in the garden. Thanks to the fence, the pool is suitable for a stay with small children, although they found the water very cold. The surroundings are beautiful, especially with the Lac du Bourget and the mountains, the many cycling routes and nice destinations such as Chanaz.
