Berck sur Mer is a beautiful area with lots to do. A large beach, beautiful nature and many historic places. Nice markets in the area and lots of shopping opportunities. We had been in this area a number of times and it pleased us well. Too bad the park was disappointing. On arrival a further € 135 is requested for service and cleaning costs. Service was hardly there and the house was everything but neat and clean. You first have to get angry before something is done and you keep feeling about being inconvenient. Do not use any crockery that has to go into the dishwasher before you can use it. Broken cupboard, shutters that do not work, toaster that has been melted. Dirty floor and kitchen cupboards. Dog poo in the garden. Step covering that is loose. A fire alarm that goes off late at night because the battery is empty. Let the owner come and that, with a lot of sighing and groaning, made sure it was all right. When the second fire alarm went off we had to hope that it would soon stop. It was already late ... ....... With one of the bedrooms the door could not close, because the bed was in the way. The bedroom itself was refurbished and the door closed. We Belle Berck booked in October, it was almost a bit dead, especially on the beaches. However, this has us very much, only the weather was unfortunately very patchy and it has often been raining. We had a great short break. We were there with 3 children (14, 12 and 10 years) a midweek in the May. The cottage is not a holiday but it is a street with cottages. The cottage was well equipped and spacious enough for 5 people. It is close to the beach and there are cute little fishing villages nearby. You can also good walking and cycling. On 10 minutes there is a theme park in Merlimont.

Brand new, spacious house, fully furnished, nice garden (some bald yet) and conveniently located: 20 minutes walk from the sea and the center of Berck. Shops about a fifteen minute walk. Small villa park, mainly inhabited by Frenchmen who permanently reside there. Plenty to see and explore in this not so discovered by Dutch part of France! Only annoyance is the downstairs bathroom - here missing a separation in the shower, so the whole bathroom will be placed white. We had a very nice holiday. The location of the cottage is within walking distance of the sea. Thus, we can make nice walks on the beach every day. Even the dog (active dog) has been able to run in such a way, that he was tired for the rest of the day.
