First and foremost, I want to thank the previous people for their experiences, we have had a lot of them. When we arrived there was a bottle of beer and a bottle of rosé in the fridge. The welcome was very warm. The garden and the house were very clean and just! It is really a must so close to the coast and still very quiet! Everything was present in the house. There was a small shop nearby (start of the campsite), as well as a restaurant and friterie (French fries are very tasty here and can take you to the house). We love walks and have our hearts fetch.Van early morning we could sit outside to eat in an easy garden set and good parasol.It is a plus that you know that the kdn can not leave everything you can close well and is well fenced.

We have five people and wonderful dog spent five days in the beautiful Escalles and very confortable in the house "Les Tilleuls". The house is situated in a quiet location with beautiful surroundings (Cap blanc nez, cap griz nez, Bologne-sur-Mer, Wissant, Wimereux). The equipment leaves nothing to be desired, especially the fireplace made us enjoy the evening and warmed to us. We highly recommend this house only, the owners are very, very nice and accommodating. The Opal Coast is beautiful! The beach is within walking distance and dogs are also welcome. On sunny days the beach is still very quiet, especially if you walk a few minutes to the left at the beach entrance, then you are almost completely alone, even in high season. Very nice fossils found. Recommended! The little house; cute but definitely needs an update; the bathroom downstairs is old, moldy and really needs to be replaced. The downstairs bedroom stinks (especially in the wardrobe). The beds are very very hard, like you are lying on a board. The kitchen is also in need of replacement; extractor hood makes noise but does nothing, kitchen cabinet keeps opening. There is enough crockery and there are many pans but it is a mixed bag. The house was not clean, a lot of cobwebs and spiders, under the bed there was still a dirty old handkerchief, there were still hairs in the shower (and the drain is clogged). What I found particularly shocking was that (despite a wooden floor) there was not a single smoke detector in the house, not even a fire extinguisher (except for a very small one from 2003). I started buying smoke alarms myself and left them in the house; otherwise it is absolutely not fireproof!! We have been renting from Belvilla for many years, but have never experienced that we have not seen the managers; before arrival we received an email with the code of a key box and had to find out everything ourselves using all kinds of faded and hand-written notes in French that could not be tied to a rope. The system with the garbage was not entirely clear to me. The wifi is very poor, actually unsuitable for sitting with several people: then it doesn't work at all.

To close on a positive note; the garden is beautiful, lots of garden furniture and sunbeds and beautiful flowers. Fully fenced so safe for the dogs. Didn't suffer from the busy road except for some racing engines.

All in all had a nice holiday, especially because of the location and surroundings, but the house tired

We have been coming to the Nord-pas-de-Calais region for about 30 years (especially in the vicinity of Wissant and Guînes). In all those years we have never had such a beautiful and nice house as "les Tilleuls" in Escalles. A very nice detached house with a beautiful, large, enclosed garden full of flowers, a very complete interior, very nice terrace with spacious garden furniture and large parasol, good sofas and beds, large fireplace, 3 bathrooms, the location is within walking distance of the Cran d'Escalles and the beach.... all this makes it a real paradise for us! We will definitely come back here!

The cottage Les Tilleuls du Cap is located in Escale, a small village among the rolling hills of the region Les Deux Caps. From Amsterdam it was not a 4 hour drive and we were met by the owner, who speaks both French and English. Very friendly lady showed us around, talked quietly and explained everything well. Although she and her husband live in Boulogne sur Mer, their parents live around the corner from the house. Home is purchased as an additional dwelling and is almost completely restored by her husband. We booked the cottage very last minute because we wanted to have good weather. Weather that week was 25 degrees and continuous sunshine throughout most of the time.The house has two floors, ground floor and first floor (no basement / garage or similar). The idea is that you walk into the back yard from the road through a gate and you can drop the two-piece stable door into the kitchen or a little further through the sliding doors of the living income. Please note the opening hours. We suggest that you are there for your bread "morning buy / reserve. A bakery is only in the next village towards Calais viz. Whether you are buying bread in the Europa center (direction calais) about 10 km to the next morning. Super shopping mall indeed to all the great shopping in store! Have fun. But there is idd no bedding. Upstairs there are 4 single beds in 2 different rooms with duvets. Downstairs 1 large 2 bed with 1 large duvet. The house has plenty of very nice and for 6 people. The area is simply stunning (Cap Blanc Nez and Cap Griz Nez are two notable landmarks). The walks on the beach, which at high tide but are often not possible, are the true Erholung.Ich can only recommend the house.

According to the documents, we should receive our key from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. Unfortunately no one was there. The landlady probably sent us the key code at 10.30am. The Opal Coast is beautiful! The beach is within walking distance and dogs are also welcome. On sunny days the beach is still very quiet, especially if you walk a few minutes to the left at the beach entrance, then you are almost completely alone, even in high season. Very nice fossils found. Recommended! The little house; cute but definitely needs an update; the bathroom downstairs is old, moldy and really needs to be replaced. The downstairs bedroom stinks (especially in the wardrobe). The beds are very very hard, like you are lying on a board. The kitchen is also in need of replacement; extractor hood makes noise but does nothing, kitchen cabinet keeps opening. There is enough crockery and there are many pans but it is a mixed bag. The house was not clean, a lot of cobwebs and spiders, under the bed there was still a dirty old handkerchief, there were still hairs in the shower (and the drain is clogged). What I found particularly shocking was that (despite a wooden floor) there was not a single smoke detector in the house, not even a fire extinguisher (except for a very small one from 2003). I started buying smoke alarms myself and left them in the house; otherwise it is absolutely not fireproof!! We have been renting from Belvilla for many years, but have never experienced that we have not seen the managers; before arrival we received an email with the code of a key box and had to find out everything ourselves using all kinds of faded and hand-written notes in French that could not be tied to a rope. The system with the garbage was not entirely clear to me. The wifi is very poor, actually unsuitable for sitting with several people: then it doesn't work at all.

To close on a positive note; the garden is beautiful, lots of garden furniture and sunbeds and beautiful flowers. Fully fenced so safe for the dogs. Didn't suffer from the busy road except for some racing engines.

All in all had a nice holiday, especially because of the location and surroundings, but the house tired

We are 1 week in July 2011 before. The weather was (in France incidentally) far below the annual average, but despite that we have a wonderful holiday. It is a beautiful house that is very well equipped. The owners will make many things in stock, such as garbage bags, polishes, washing tablets. There is plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The beds are very good. The whole house is modernly equipped and that I have in the past often viewed differently by gites. Modern kitchen, nice bathroom, clean toilets. You're in 5-10 minutes walk from the beach. The beach is quite different than the ones on the Dutch coast. No loose sand, so you always sit on damp sand. During our vacation was not really beach weather, so not many people on the beach. Magnificent cliffs, beautiful landscape. The house is about 700 meters from the beach. Ideal for walks with or without a dog. In the description that there is no DVD player, but it is there, there is unfortunately no remote in Dutch so hard to not adjustable. There is no bakery in the village, but at the camp on the other side you can buy baguettes and order / reservation for the next day. 90cent for stokbrood.U can also buy fries. Please note the opening hours. We suggest that you are there for your bread "morning buy / reserve. A bakery is only in the next village towards Calais viz. Whether you are buying bread in the Europa center (direction calais) about 10 km to the next morning. Super shopping mall indeed to all the great shopping in store! Have fun. But there is idd no bedding. Upstairs there are 4 single beds in 2 different rooms with duvets. Downstairs 1 large 2 bed with 1 large duvet. The cottage Les Tilleuls du Cap is located in Escale, a small village among the rolling hills of the region Les Deux Caps. From Amsterdam it was not a 4 hour drive and we were met by the owner, who speaks both French and English. Very friendly lady showed us around, talked quietly and explained everything well. Although she and her husband live in Boulogne sur Mer, their parents live around the corner from the house. Home is purchased as an additional dwelling and is almost completely restored by her husband. We booked the cottage very last minute because we wanted to have good weather. Weather that week was 25 degrees and continuous sunshine throughout most of the time.The house has two floors, ground floor and first floor (no basement / garage or similar). The idea is that you walk into the back yard from the road through a gate and you can drop the two-piece stable door into the kitchen or a little further through the sliding doors of the living income. We enjoyed the week at home Les Tileuls, you immediately feel at home. In particular, the allocation of rooms (one room on the ground floor with private bath) was convenient for us. The house is perfectly equipped for 6 people and also the secluded, pet safe garden is a dream.

We enjoyed this beautiful big house with three bathrooms and even the beautiful garden. We lacked nothing. It is very complete. From the house you had only one street to walk out and you were on the beach. Hence you can see the coast of England. The house is situated between Cap Blanc Nez and Cap Grize nez. Two viewpoints are worthwhile. We were only one midweek and were sorry we had to leave again. An absolute must!
