There was plenty of room here for four people. The two terraces worked well for morning coffee and catching some afternoon sun.

Rooms offered ample space with beds that helped us rest well at night. Having access to a washing machine made it easier to pack light after days at the beach.

The greeting from the neighbor was very warm and one felt immediately welcome, she was consistently very nice and helpful. The actual owner seems to have health problems, we never saw him. Unfortunately, there were quite a few visible deficiencies in the accommodation. Many pieces of furniture are quite old and partially broken, many lights/illuminations did not work (kitchen above the stove, in the oven, mini lamps under the sloped roof in the kitchen, mirror next to the shower and light in the shower), the vacuum cleaner also did not work. Basically, cleanliness left much to be desired (many cobwebs, black dog hairs were everywhere (probably from the previous tenants?). From Quineville, the landing beaches of Normandy can be explored, which was really great.

You must be at this accommodation! We had a super vacation (3 weeks) and we will definitely go back. The peace, the surroundings, and the location are perfect for us. Moreover, all praise goes to the owners! At first, they are very careful and take a lot into account to ensure your privacy. After a calm victory over a small language barrier, hospitality flows from all corners. The love for animals, people, and well-being shines through. The interest in our pets was immediately noticeable; they are in first place. Their dog Nikita, a lovely sweetheart, always comes to check on you or play. Upon arrival, there are already drinks in the fridge to refresh you after a long journey. The apartment has everything you need and exceeds expectations. This runs in perfect harmony with the adjacent holiday home. In the morning, you are surprised with fresh eggs. The spacious garden is well maintained and completely enclosed. The beach is not far, great for shell collecting. WiFi is always tricky, but oh well. Their organization that strives to give sick children a holiday characterizes how these benefactors are made. Beds good, Shower and Bath good. Some minus point curtains were too short ... but it was all just new and the new ones were already ordered. Seat and loungers ok but you have to go down the stairs. Fresh home-baked bread from landlords. Within 1 hour you have here all West Normandy within reach. Closest to the beach went for a walk but there are better ones.

From one of the bedrooms you have a direct view of the Atlantic Ocean, which is about 1-2 km away.
Shopping opportunities are about 10 to 20 minutes away.
The host is very friendly and communication works even without a good knowledge of French.
Two more tips for couples with children or older couples.
The apartment is on the first floor.
And in this part of France there are hardly any footpaths or cycle paths... so a walk to the beach requires a bit of attention.
Otherwise the region is very beautiful and you can easily reach many places in Normandy (whether war zones or simply people, cities and nature) from Dortmund within an hour's drive by car.
We were there for a total of 7 days and felt very comfortable.
We would love to come back.

If you are interested in WW2 of course a lot to see. Many museums within 45 minutes drive.

It is not far from Utah beach and all the surrounding WWII tourist spots. There is not much to do in the village, but there is a beautiful (sandy) beach.
