This holiday home is located between the Lot and Dordogne rivers and has a wonderful view of the wooded hills. It is a characteristic house with a lot of charm. In the garden, there is always a little corner to enjoy the sun. The lime tree provides shade when you need it. Garden furniture and barbecue are at your disposal! There's plenty of room for children to play on the enormous 4-hectare plot. Also, there is a tennis court, so perfect for enjoying a game or two with your pals! The house is connected to the fibre-optic network, so there's ultra-fast internet access. The house radiates a warm atmosphere thanks to the authentic wooden beams on the ceiling in the living room and kitchen. Access to the bedrooms is via an outside staircase.
You can do your shopping in Cazals (5 km). On Sundays there is a market: fresh produce straight from the fields, and at very low prices! There is also a swimming lake with a small beach, games and pedalo hire. Villefranche-du-Périgord (6 km) has a swimming pool.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Visit, for example, the wonderful village of Arques (6 km) and its Zadkine museum. And don't forget the medieval towns of Gourdon (20 km) and Cahors (29 km). In the latter, you can admire the drawbridge of the ancient fortress or simply do a bit of shopping. The Dordogne is not far away either, so be sure to visit the magnificent villages of Domme (26 km) and La-Roque-Gageac (29 km).

The place near Montclera is (as we experience it at the moment) very suitable for people who can enjoy nature and silence. It is an old farm that has been refurbished. There is a large piece of grassland around it. Shade or sun ... there are plenty opportunities to sit here and there. Inside it is quite dark, but that is to be expected with such houses. The owner has put down several cozy table lamps, a comfortable sofa and a few equally pleasant chairs. I have not yet been able to discern. Phone coverage is bad. (then you have to drive towards the village) There is WiFi which works well in the sitting room. The bedrooms can be reached via a staircase outside. That has its charm, if you do not mind it. The master bedroom has a very large fireplace, so that you feel like you are in a sleeping room of an old castle. It is also quite dark there. Good reading lamps next to the bed. In the smaller bedroom there is more light and a beautiful view. When the two of you are in bed there, you have to the one who is on the wall newspaper, be flexible, because there you have to climb over the other. Finally .. nothing is perfect. Also not this house. But if you are not looking for a "smooth home" but you are looking for a beautiful natural and quiet environment, then it is good to stay here.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Too bad that the adjacent house with swimming pool is also rented out as group accommodation. When there is no one there, it is the quietest place imaginable. When there are people there, it's like being on a busy party campsite. I can't blame the holidaymakers, but if I had known this, I would not have booked this house.
