We were very warmly welcomed by the owner. He took plenty of time to show and explain the accommodation. It is a quiet village with a single tourist visit every day.
Evert Kok
Charming and comfortable home in a unique location. In the middle of the village but still very private. Both interior and garden well cared for and tastefully decorated.
Angelique Belder

In the beautiful wide arable land lies an idyllic small town of Yevre Le Chateau where we spent our holiday in an old preserved house with all the trimmings. A beautiful garden where you can enjoy the sun in peace and quiet in the morning.
It is also a great base for visiting cities such as Orleans and Fontainebleau with their beautiful cathedrals and castles. Worth a visit.

Arrival was good, calling was impossible due to location, but it was good. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful house. Little to do in the area, 45 minutes to an hour and a half drive are cities such as Orleans, Blois, Chartres and Fontainebleau. Paris is just a little too far in our opinion.

The landlord was very nice, a few days before departure called, the house is very comfortably furnished, the beds are good, you sleep wonderfully, as the house is in absolute quiet. The garden is beautiful and not seen, the village is one of the most beautiful in France ...

The owner called, i.v. accessibility gite, a few days before departure we agreed to call him after arrival in village. He pointed us the right way. Nice cottage with beautiful garden everything well cared for. Yèvre-le-châtel is a lovely village and a good base for various attractions in the Loire region. There is sufficient tourist information available in the gite.

The photos do not lie. It is cozy and very authentic, without being old-fashioned. It is clean according to French standards. You are almost literally next to the church and the old castle with some visitors in the weekend, but once you close the door you have 100% privacy, even in the relatively small but very cozy garden. For garden lovers, moreover, all flowers and plants are provided with a name card. The owner is also very helpful.

The accommodation is very tastefully decorated, nothing is missing. There is enough space for 5 to 6 people. The garden is beautiful and invites you to relax. The owner welcomed us and gave some tips to get to know the area.

very proactive landlord, hii called to NL a few days before arrival to tell us how we should drive and that there were no restaurants open in Yevres le chatel. He also speaks English so we could communicate well in French or English. House immediately looked good, with fresh lilacs in a bedroom .. Very good resume too, cold house was very pleasant within 20 minutes. Great base for Orleans, Chartres Fontainebleau Versailles and Paris
Eva Volmer
The owner already called us in advance to inquire about the ages of our children. So he knew whether he had to put a bed and so ready. Very thoughtful. He also described how we could easily get to the cottage. Upon arrival, the owner was incredibly friendly and he showed the whole house and explained everything how it worked. The village and house are beautiful! Very authentic and romantic. Very complete and well clean. Highly recommended!

The owner called in advance to explain where we had to drive. The accommodation was fine, well cared for and met expectations. There was a spacious garden at the property. That it was part of the castle was very special.

Unique house located in a quiet and beautiful village with a beautiful green garden. Ideal for 2 couples, next to the house is the "apartment" with bed and private bathroom. All comfort is present plus lovely loungers to be in the sun or in the shade. Sun all day on the terrace. When unloading, the car can go to the front door in the small street, after which it is parked further down. Nearby is Chamerolles castle fun to visit, the cathedral in Orleans, or castle Fonatainebleau. Supermarket(s) and boulangerie at about 6 km, is also easy to do by bike.

What a beautiful real French house in a beautiful location! We were kindly received and given a tour and tips for things to do in the area. We could have had nice weather in the garden. Ideal for our two children aged two and three because it is fenced. Nice town also to walk into. Furthermore, a great base for trips to Orleans, fontaineblue, etampes and all Loire towns! All in all a great house and location! Only tip is another kettle;)

Very nice house, everything is there, with a very nice garden, in a beautiful flower-rich beautiful small village (no shops / bakery). View of the church tower (bells are silent at night) and the impressive old castle. Owner is very friendly and very helpful if necessary. Place to enjoy peace and quiet and surroundings, including Fontainebleau and Orleans, not for exuberant entertainment.
