A comfortable detached cottage on a private estate. Wonderfully quiet location at the end of a dead-end country road, just outside Montrichard. "Domaine Les Drageonnières" (4.5 ha) consists of two comfortable vacation homes (La Bergerie and La Ferme) and a beautifully situated, shared swimming pool. A very suitable place for two families vacationing together. But also great to rent individually.
The huge outdoor space offers plenty of privacy.
You will stay in "La Ferme" (in the middle of the aerial photo). The interior is neatly arranged and well equipped with contemporary comfort. The beds are 2.10m long and there are several bathrooms. From your furnished terrace you will enjoy the beautiful view over the meadows, forests and the Cher Valley.
Should you be able to detach yourself from this property, you will see that the surrounding area is definitely worth visiting. Montrichard (2 km) has a cozy medieval town center with one of the oldest castles in France. The castles of Chenonceau (12 km) and Amboise (20 km) are also impressive. In Bourré (4 km) you can visit old wine cellars. In Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher (20 km) there is a zoo. But also Tours (48 km) and Blois (34 km) are worth a visit.

Space, not just around you, but also in the home, comfort, tranquility, nature, sheep, orchards, vineyards, and life as the French do. We are going again next year!

It was great again, we're never bored though this was the 8th time we were here. House lovely, nice swimming pool. New kitchen fine. Beautiful terrain. Covering the pool can be better, requires clear replacement. Nice environment, plenty to see and do, also for children.

Four times in this house, ideal for lovers of peace and quiet, but also comfort. The village is quieter, many shops are closed, and pedal boats are gone, too bad! Lots of culture in the area, beautiful scenery, wonderful for biking. And plenty of good restaurants. We have already booked for next year!

Lovely house, fully equipped, endless space around it for the kids to run and play. The sheep is an additional attraction, and the pool of course. However, steep road down to the village, on the bike once hard stairs at the top and if you roll 3 km down the main street; the way is another matter ... Orchard, vineyard, forest. Except for one neighboring house you see any human being, delicious! Typical French village, restaurants enough.

Paradise (you) exists on earth! Enjoyed the whole family (71 to 9 years) after possession to have taken an estate with two beautiful houses (FLO 30 A + B) in a paradise setting with complete privacy, located between meadows with lambs and vineyards; within walking distance (20 min) from Montrichard.Huizen fully furnished and very tidy betrokken.Veel opportunities outing for young and oud.Aanrader.

For us the fourth time we celebrated our holiday here. This time with two children (& amp; gt3 years). It remains a beautiful domain, surrounded by nature. The pool is lovely. The area has plenty to offer, but for those who are more "stuck" to the house (for example because of small children) this house and the large surrounding (fenced) area is ideal to spend a lot of time.

The estate with 2 cottages is on a hillside on a wooded edge with beautiful views over the valley. The cottages look idyllic. We had the big house. The decor is very complete, everything is there. Unfortunately, the house was cleaned only on the eye. Everywhere spider webs hung and dust. The bedroom below seemed to have been cleaned for months. We have done that ourselves from ceiling to bedbeds. It was beautiful weather that week. However, the pool was dirty and was cleaned only later in the week, which was a pity. The surrounding area is beautiful, lots to do, castles over and a supermarket nearby.

We had a nice holiday. The house is quietly situated on a hill with beautiful views. There is a lot of nature in the immediate area and the Loire castles are within easy reach, as are supermarkets. The private swimming pool (sharing with guests of the other house) has a nice size and is well situated. It is often windy because of the location on the hill in warm weather, that is refreshing, otherwise doing a warm vest. The large house, La Ferme, has better views and garden / grassland than the smaller house. It is true that there is a lot of grassland around the houses, so with the move of garden furniture you always find a nice place. The bedrooms are spacious. Childcare facilities (chair and bed) are provided. The bathroom downstairs is modern, the bathroom upstairs is renewed. The kitchen is small but cozy and well-equipped. The house is always well-equipped. The Wi-Fi is unstable. After some days, you know which places you have "reach" and where not. Could also be nice). The cleaning is done with the French blow. Long people have to bug through the authentic beams in the house.

Les Drageonnières is a beautiful place, at the end of a cul-de-sac, in the middle of and surrounded by beautiful nature, forests, vineyards, fields. From the lovely swimming pool (lovely to relax at the edge of it) you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. The world seems far away. An oasis of peace that is pleasantly disturbed by the singing of larks, collared redstarts and other songbirds, the chattering of a pheasant rooster, the rustling of deer, etc. No barking dogs! Via a beautiful road along the fields you can walk to Montrichard in about fifteen minutes and at the end of the path you are suddenly back in civilization. Then quickly back to the soothing tranquility of Les Drageonnières. The cottage where we spent a week (La Ferme) is nice and spacious for six people. The kitchen is very well equipped (including two refrigerators, a freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, endless ladles and other kitchen utensils) and there is plenty of seating downstairs. (We mostly sat outside, by the way.). Good mattresses and good pillows, in short, everything perfect. The fact that the WiFi occasionally faltered actually suited the feeling of being away from the daily bustle.

In 2015 we were here for the first time, the two of us. We have had time so fine that we in 2016 (from late August to mid-September) here come back again. This time with our son (1 year old). It was again delicious. The rest, the birds, the beautiful garden, swimming pool (where you can pull laps), the view. The pictures on the website really was nothing said too much. We had in 2015 and this time rented the big house. The smaller house is also very nice (and would certainly spacious enough for three of us). We will undoubtedly be back with the three of us, but think also about to agree to go with friends or family. We would rent the smaller and the larger house, and we have the rich only. The village of Montrichard is located about 2 kilometers away, down the slope. I went to get bread every morning on the bike at one of the four or five bakeries (with 2 gears a sporting effort, but doable). The village is cozy evenings and you have a choice of several restaurants with terraces. Furthermore, we have been in include Blois and Amboise (both highly recommended), and one of the best zoos I know in the Zoo de Beauval (and trip advisor agrees with me). Coincidentally we met the owners. They were very responsive and helpful (with tips about the environment, but also help launch cable), and they felt very well where tenants need of. The latter speaks of all the houses, equipment, garden. The bigger house is for tall people, be careful preservation of many classic details also means that my 1.90m especially in the upstairs bedrooms to watch out for the beam structures. But this small sacrifice I could not deterred in any case, to come back here again!

The cottage is much bigger than the photos showed (we had the one closer to the pool) and Nina was really helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped, including herbs, spices etc. The only thing to be aware of is that the oven is actually a microwave/oven combination and you can only fit one oven tray in it when cooking, which is a bit limiting when cooking for 6 and needed some planning - but there is a big BBQ outside. The pool is very good for young kids with steps, a shallow end and gated. Its in a lovely peaceful setting, we saw deer and rabbits in the evening while eating outside. Amboise, an amazing zoo (Beauval) and several chateaus (Clos Luce is good for young kids) are all within 20-25 minute drive. You won't see everything in a week. For EV drivers theres a good charge point in about 1 mile away in Montrichard and also most towns in the area.

The environment was the absolute winner. No noise in the wider area if you stop it for a moment. You can completely relax. With the outdoor table under the trees behind the pool hedge ... That is wonderful. The accommodation can be called okay. Although you can see here and there that the building can use a makeover. Especially the kitchen is fantastically equipped. We also used the bbq outside several times. The programming on television is limited and is regularly lost. That is a disappointment. The rooms are very spacious with decent beds. The pool with light salt water is fantastic. Nice and big and deep. The pool cover with roll-up system is in urgent need of replacement. The roll-up system can fall apart at any time and the covers of the tarpaulin are all loose. They constantly float around in the water. With the scoop net we got dozens of knobs out of the water every day.

The reception was correct, friendly and warm. The cottage itself is just fantastic. Very cozy, homely, typical of the area and very clean. The location could not be better, at the end of a cul-de-sac. At absolute must in all areas. We were immediately sold and the holiday can not start better ...

On arrival we were received by the manager, a lady who introduced herself as the contact person. Walk through the entire house and see that everything as on photo and description was working on. Bottle in the fridge, we could get started right away.

Very nice holiday home we booked for the second time. The holiday home is suitable for all ages, highly recommended. The house is certainly big enough for 6 people. Unfortunately, we had a bad weather and the pool was cold, but we did enjoy ourselves. There is plenty to do in the area. The hearth in the living room gives extra warmth on colder days. Lovely bathroom downstairs. It's a pity that the sheep are not there anymore.
