Comforting cottage in Sanas, a hamlet between Juillac in Correze and Claire Vivre in Dordogne, France. A double-story house was built in the 1890s lie in the village of about 20 houses and has been tastefully restored and furnished by the present owner.
Situated amid the Sanas forest, the site is sloping down towards the east with views across fields and woodlands. In Objat, you can have a fun recreational session of cycling, swimming pool with slide, canoeing. A day shopping in Brive and Perigueux will be enjoyable. Limoges is known for its porcelain factories. Cycling in the hilly terrain is refreshing and there are many well-signed walks in the area.
There is a laundry outbuilding and a large barn with several fruit trees in the garden (parking is in the garden). 2 bedrooms (1x double bed and 2x single beds), a shower room and a bathroom plus a large living/kitchen/dining area is available. The south side of the house has a wooden terrace usable for dining-out and sunbathing.

Overall assessment

Upon entering, the house smells of musty ivy growing inside, ceilings are low, so are the door frames, you are taller than 1.85 m, I would not choose this house, the house was not really clean either. Out of sight is not as reported, there is only 1 bicycle with a flat tire washing machine is in a separate loft. Gas stove works on butane gas itself, change the bottle when it is empty, in the basement access to the basement is bad, here is the butane gas bottle.

There is not much of the description for this house. No view, no available bicycles, no one in the house for months. washing machine was overgrown with plants.

Several safety issues: place neglected, gas ran out, electricity failed. Apart from equestrian centre at pompadour, nothing in the area of tourist interest.

Atmospheric accommodation, beautiful rural setting.

Key was easy to find. The condition of the garden was disappointing, a lot of nettles. The cottage was small and simple, but cozy. There is not much to do in the area. Walking is fine.

Nice detached house, large garden (not fully fenced!) In a very quiet area.

Nice garden (occasionally with cows)), cozy living room, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, quiet area.

as described on the site. Simple cottage. Very calm. If you want luxury and / or expect not to go. But if you like romanticism and nature definitely worth a visit. No tv is also very nice. The supermarkets are a quarter of a mile. The surroundings are beautiful. And also the cows that pass twice a day are fun. Walking is good. Keep a card or googlemaps at hand ......... we had a very nice relaxing holiday.

It is a very cozy and cozy old farmhouse, fully equipped. If you do not have a high standard (or are used to), it's even comfortable! The cottage was completely renovated 10 years ago and looks nice. Everything is present and works. The pictures come well with the reality in my view. The house is originally from the late 19th century, the door posts are low, so watch your head! There's a spin in a corner, but there's a spin in a corner. Once you get out of doors, parking is easy behind the cottage and for larger cars it is also behind the barn where there is more space. The (British) owner is very nice and you can always ask for questions with him. The garden is large. Indeed, the sides have not been cut neatly, but you are in the middle of the Dordogne nature. For outside people no problem seems to me. There is a lot to do within half an hour to an hour drive - castles, dolphin caves, beautiful villages and towns, etc. It is a 10-minute drive to Juillac, where the supermarket is and you can also refuel. To our experience there are no (nice) restaurants nearby, so when you want to eat out, you can go to a slightly larger city nearby (eg Brive). If you like a romantic cottage in a quiet location, do not be afraid to drive a supermarket or entertainment and you are not used to 4 star hotels then you have a great time.

As mentioned, it was a very simple house. On arrival the parking lot fell too small, as well as the neglect of the garden did not make a good first impression. The cottage and terrace could use an update, unlike the photo on the site.

It was a lovely place in the middle of nowhere. On arrival we found the key at the appointed place and we immediately took up residence. It is a simple but cozy farmhouse, everything is in the kitchen to cook well. And especially the ruitme surrounding the cottage is delightful. In the morning the cows came down towards the meadow, very nice for our son of 2. The supermarket and pool are 10 minutes away. In the vicinity there is really nothing (which we found delicious!). We made beautiful trips and vooal the large pool in Brive (five minutes away) is a must. Overall we very much enjoyed this quiet, peaceful place in the beautiful countryside of rural France.

The cottage is really lovely and quiet - from the porch -. A nice view over the valley You also quite beneficial is for outdoor activities. The Dordogne is also easily accessible. The climate is fine. By day, warm and sunny, and "at night it cools down to comfortable temperatures. Pity was that the beds were not too good. Luckily the owner was so friendly that we already could buy a new mattress at his expense. He has indicated everything replaced. the house has a slightly dilapidated, romantic, french look. that "s nice to see, but it has its disadvantages, too, probably mainly in the cooler season (mice?).
