Nice picturesque village. Beautiful house with spacious enclosed garden in a quiet street.

We regretfully left "Villa au bord de l'Orb". The house has everything you could wish for: spacious, neat rooms, good beds, more than enough kitchenware, 3 refrigerators, 2 small freezers, a fantastic swimming pool, the beautiful view and access to the river ... The bakery is within walking distance, every day fresh bread on the table made our holiday complete. If I have to think of 1 minus point: a number of things were broken: umbrellas were somewhat damaged, roller blinds that did not work as they should, but this has absolutely no influence on our holiday. Fantastic house! The house may not be suitable for smaller children, because the terrace around the pool (wooden piece) is not fenced. Smaller children can easily lose weight here.

The house is on a very narrow street, parallel to the main road. When you enter that road directly from the "center" of the village, you soon doubt whether you are in the right place. From the main road, however, there is a small street right next to the wine cooperative that ends directly at the gate of the house. You can park a car on site, but don't count on too much shade there. The house is beautiful: on the river with quite a few canoes on the way back to the rental in the village, not directly on a main road so little trouble of noise. The house is fully equipped, very spacious and clean (if you do not mind a spider web here and there). The fans present have been working overtime. Occasionally we missed an air conditioner, but the ground floor remained cool enough to sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is more than enough crockery and cutlery. The wifi worked reasonably well with range in the entire house, but unfortunately hardly on the terrace next to the dining room. The pool and garden were well maintained during our stay. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to questions via Whatsapp. In the village is a bakery (order each day for the next day, then you do not have to get out of bed early for your favorite bread) and a small supermarket for the basic necessities (please note opening times). We had a wonderful meal at both "Petit Nice" (view over the river) and "Saint Hubert" (street out and you are there). We enjoyed the house and its surroundings for three weeks!

Bottle of wine was ready upon arrival, always nice! The house is nice and quiet location, through a gate you could go to the river in the back garden where you can see the kayaks passing by. The house is large and well equipped. Apart from the swimming pool (lots of leaves) everything was in order, we cleaned the pool ourselves and during the week the maintenance man came by. In the village there are some cafes, restaurants and a small supermarket. There is also a lake where you can swim. You can reach a large shopping center in half an hour and a 45-minute drive to the sea. The garden was completely fenced which was very handy with our 2 dogs. Only tip: a little more info about what to see and do in the area would be handy. Definitely recommended!
