What a gem! The location is beautiful, right in the heart of Ürzig. We enjoyed walking through the charming streets and visiting local attractions. The views from the nearby paths were breathtaking, especially after a long hike. Moreover, the double beds were super comfortable for a good night's sleep.

House is in a run down condition. Too bad concept fine. The house was not cleaned. Cobwebs everywhere on chairs, tables and in the rooms. For what 180.00 euros. Sanitary facilities were partly unusable. Shower walls, taps on the sinks in the bathrooms and in the kitchen sometimes didn't work. Seat cushions on the chairs and benches were so dirty that you had to be disgusted. Doors in the rooms could not be closed. We have now been there 3 times and will definitely not book this house again. This house in this condition is an impertinence and definitely not to be recommended. Radio was not connected to antenna.

The ticket said that you should register with the landlord one day before arrival. However, only one AB could be discussed under the number given. So you drove off with a bad feeling and that's how it happened, nobody showed up to hand over the keys. We were now a few cars camping in the narrow streets hoping to unload and were made aware by the nice locals that this is what the "ticket writers" seemed to have specialized in in this place. In a last attempt, we wrote an email and a short time later we got the reply that they would be there in 20 minutes and would bring us the key. I had read in some reviews that the final cleaning and bed linen had to be paid directly, in cash and without a receipt. After a lame attempt on my part to get a receipt, the cleaning lady who was sent to unlock us then explained to me that this was always the case. Hmm, yes of course. To be honest, we were just happy to get warm and that's actually the first plus point of this property. The heating worked well. The second plus was the large lounge. Then we come to the negative: The house is a terribly run-down place. The lovingly built and once run house is in an unbelievably neglected condition. You don't even know where to start. The whole house stinks because the drains and toilets don't seem to be flushed regularly. There is a shared toilet with urinals on the ground floor. No one can climb there because it is impossible to breathe there. Most of the inventory is broken. Room doors cannot be locked. Some of the toilets in the rooms have buckets underneath because they drip. The showers are moldy. Unfortunately, this accommodation is not recommended. It really needs to be renovated or completely refurbished here. You don't even know where to start. From a non-functioning heating system to inadequate equipment, everything is really bad here! The house is definitely the "one could make something of it" category. For our group consisting of 3 families (7 adults and 7 young people) it was "perfect". Great location - in the middle of town, across from the tourist information center, surrounded by vineyards and only a few minutes' walk to restaurants, wineries, bakers and butchers. Enough space, many rooms with shower / toilet and a cozy guest room would not be there: cold in the whole house, windows / doors drafty, heating apparently defective, musty smell in the room parts. Not / badly functioning sanitary facilities, showers only boiling hot or ice cold, 2 showers could only be turned off again with father's help, carpets, seat cushions and bedding had to be cleaned - very unhygienic and dingy, WiFi does not work, too few dishes. Whisk, spatula, large cups, salad bowl, etc. not available at all. Cooker and extractor partly defective, window in the kitchen cannot be opened. The "neighbors" reported to us that the house has changed hands countless times since it was a hotel and restaurant has closed - unfortunately none of the former owners had any desire to invest anything.

Unfortunately there was slight confusion regarding our arrival date/time despite it being confirmed and this led to some delay in getting into the property, but once this was resolved we had no problems. The accommodation is as advertised and suited our group of twelve adults. The place, though slightly past its prime regarding decor, is comfortable and adequately stocked for self catering. Beds were comfortable and there was lots of hot water. There is a large cellar for bicycle storage. The town is very quiet, but there are restaurants within easy walking distance. Nearby is a landing stage to catch a boat up or down the Mosel. Lots of free parking places also within an easy walk.

Ürzig is like a fairytale, 16 - 17 century center with small streets, going up from the Mosel river against the mountain. The Rathausplatz, town hall place is the ancient center. I think the town hall, Rathausplatz 7, is the most beautiful building. The building where we stayed, Rathausplatz 11, has a clear view of it. It must be of the same age, 16 - 17 century. It used to be a hotel with 9 double bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. Now you can all rent it for one price, including a well-equipped kitchen and several central rooms. We considered it a luxury for our big family, providing all we need. All shopping can be done about 10 km away in the city of Wittlich. Amazing views within walking distance, near the Mosel river or up the mountain to the woods and the grapevines. Or drive to the viewpoint bridge, about 7 km away. The old and the young, they all had their share in reachable views. It was great.

Ürzig is like a fairytale, 16 - 17 century center with small streets, going up from the Mosel river against the mountain. The Rathausplatz, town hall place is the ancient center. I think the town hall, Rathausplatz 7, is the most beautiful building. The building where we stayed, Radhausplatz 11, has a clear view of it. It must be of the same age, 16 - 17 century. It used to be a hotel with 9 double bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. Now you can all rent it for one price, including a well-equipped kitchen and several central rooms. We considered it a luxury for our big family, providing all we need. All shopping can be done about 10 km away in the city of Witlich. Amazing views within walking distance, near the Mosel river or up the mountain to the woods and the grapevines. Or drive to the viewpoint bridge, about 7 km away. The old and the young, they all had their share in reachable views. It was great.

The ticket said that you should register with the landlord one day before arrival. However, only one AB could be discussed under the number given. Unfortunately there was slight confusion regarding our arrival date/time despite it being confirmed and this led to some delay in getting into the property, but once this was resolved we had no problems. The accommodation is as advertised and suited our group of twelve adults. The place, though slightly past its prime regarding decor, is comfortable and adequately stocked for self catering. Beds were comfortable and there was lots of hot water. There is a large cellar for bicycle storage. The town is very quiet, but there are restaurants within easy walking distance. Nearby is a landing stage to catch a boat up or down the Mosel. Lots of free parking places also within an easy walk.

The existing cookware and cutlery are a joke, dirty and sometimes of limited use. 180 € for the final cleaning is appropriate for a house of this size ... if it is done. Very nice, comfortable house located in the center Urzig, a charming town located on the picturesque Mosel. Very good base for day trips to organize cycling along Moseli, as well as in the area, as the train station, just 2 km journey opens up endless possibilities to other bike trails, which offer is impressive and unprecedented elsewhere. The ticket said that you should register with the landlord one day before arrival. However, only one AB could be discussed under the number given. So you drove off with a bad feeling and that's how it happened, nobody showed up to hand over the keys. We were now a few cars camping in the narrow streets hoping to unload and were made aware by the nice locals that this is what the "ticket writers" seemed to have specialized in in this place. In a last attempt, we wrote an email and a short time later we got the reply that they would be there in 20 minutes and would bring us the key. I had read in some reviews that the final cleaning and bed linen had to be paid directly, in cash and without a receipt. After a lame attempt on my part to get a receipt, the cleaning lady who was sent to unlock us then explained to me that this was always the case. Hmm, yes of course. From a non-functioning heating system to inadequate equipment, everything is really bad here! The house is definitely the "one could make something of it" category. For our group consisting of 3 families (7 adults and 7 young people) it was "perfect". Great location - in the middle of town, across from the tourist information center, surrounded by vineyards and only a few minutes' walk to restaurants, wineries, bakers and butchers. Enough space, many rooms with shower / toilet and a cozy guest room would not be there: cold in the whole house, windows / doors drafty, heating apparently defective, musty smell in the room parts. Not / badly functioning sanitary facilities, showers only boiling hot or ice cold, 2 showers could only be turned off again with father's help, carpets, seat cushions and bedding had to be cleaned - very unhygienic and dingy, WiFi does not work, too few dishes. Whisk, spatula, large cups, salad bowl, etc. not available at all. Cooker and extractor partly defective, window in the kitchen cannot be opened. The "neighbors" reported to us that the house has changed hands countless times since it was a hotel and restaurant has closed - unfortunately none of the former owners had any desire to invest anything.

The existing cookware and cutlery are a joke, dirty and sometimes of limited use. 180 € for the final cleaning is appropriate for a house of this size ... if it is done. On request, we did not receive a receipt for the final cleaning either. Unfortunately there was only one key to the house. Overall, one has the impression that the owner is trying to get as much money out as possible and not invest anything.

The village is beautiful, with the attractive buildings and the Moselle. Surrounded by the vines. There are a few restaurants in the village, great German food. A village further on was a cozy Christmas market. The early checkout on Sunday at 10.00 was disappointing. They also expect the guests to do a lot themselves; make and remove beds. Empty trash cans in all rooms, put trash on the street when they arrive.

Unfortunately there was slight confusion regarding our arrival date/time despite it being confirmed and this led to some delay in getting into the property, but once this was resolved we had no problems. The accommodation is as advertised and suited our group of twelve adults. The place, though slightly past its prime regarding decor, is comfortable and adequately stocked for self catering. Beds were comfortable and there was lots of hot water. There is a large cellar for bicycle storage. The town is very quiet, but there are restaurants within easy walking distance. Nearby is a landing stage to catch a boat up or down the Mosel. Lots of free parking places also within an easy walk.
