This holiday home is something special: Spend your holiday in this part of a former mill from 1628, which has been completely renovated and newly furnished. Absolutely quiet and surrounded by nature in the Weserbergland region, it is part of the Hohenstein nature area. Enjoy the sun on your own south-facing terrace with a spectacular view of the nearby stream and surrounding forest or make yourself comfortable in front of the wood stove in the house. Ideal starting point for hikes and for visiting numerous sights. Various golf courses are in the immediate vicinity.
The region offers guests an absolutely extensive range of sports and leisure opportunities. Popular excursion destinations: Pied Piper City of Hameln (20km), Oldendorf (9km), Hagen (20km).

We were allowed to enjoy a nice welcome, even the ordered good weather was delivered, so it was the beginning of a great holiday. In the great heat we were delighted that the bedrooms are located in the basement, where it was pleasantly cool and sleep was not agony. After a heavy rainfall, the waterfall, which is right next to the house, was clearly audible. Was on the one hand irritating, on the other hand also romantic. Definitely an experience. And it was extremely quiet. It is gratifying that one could still listen to the bird concert here in the morning and in the evening, in this day and age of rarity. The couple van Gosch, who have us in our holiday home, are friendly and helpful, so that it was a pleasant neighborly relationship. One shortcoming the apartment in the guest bathroom was clearly a more than unpleasant smell of oil perceptible, which led to that we only entered this room in the most extreme emergency. Too bad that this malady gives the apartment a downer.

We had a wonderful holiday in the holiday Zur Hohlenmuhle! The (Dutch) owners are very hospitable and tell them what to do all around is.Het house has a great location so the waterfall next to sleek and all nature around it! We would love to spend more time in this beautiful, tastefully decorated home!

The house (which originally served as the blade of the paddle wheel) is cozy and fully equipped. Cozy living room, large kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms fine. You can follow as a number of walks from the house through the forest. The (Ned.) Owners are welcoming. A great location on the edge of the forest. Maybe for some, somewhat remote but therefore have peace and quiet guaranteed. A great place to come back.
