Plavo More - Blue Sea

Well-appointed, clean holiday apartment with incredibly nice landlords Marko and Marija, who are super helpful and make you feel very welcome. Island Vir is a small, idyllic, cozy island connected to the mainland by a bridge, so you can visit the beautiful coastal city of Zadar with its famous sea organ and glass plate "Greetings to the Sun" several times. The holiday apartment is very close to the beach, about 50m away, perfect for children. Many shopping opportunities (about 5 minutes on foot) as well as many bars and restaurants nearby. Not far away on the mainland (about 15-20 minutes by car) there is a Lidl. It was the best holiday we have had in Croatia, thanks to Marko, Marija, Andrijana and Marija jun. We felt very comfortable with them! Always happy!!! Highly recommended!

Schöne Erholung

It was very beautiful there. The island of Vir is very beautiful. Everything is close by. Especially the hosts are very accommodating, helpful if you need anything, and super nice and kind. We felt very comfortable. The apartment was okay, it had everything you need. We will definitely go back there again.

Top Adresse auf Insel VIR

We were here as a family. The location is very good, just 100m to the beach. Shopping possibilities are also within a few minutes' walk.

The apartment was clean and functional, even a small kitchen including a fridge is available.
We didn't miss anything.
Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are also available.
Marija & Marko (landlords) are super friendly and leave nothing to be desired. We will definitely come back here for a vacation and can highly recommend the "Plavo More" apartments. Thanks again for this lovely holiday.

Beautiful and peacefully located holiday home resort

We spent two weeks in the beautiful apartment on the second floor. From the terrace, you have a wonderful view over the entire bay. Maria and Marco are two very nice hosts who take care of everything. If there are any wishes, they fulfill them promptly. The apartment is functional and has everything you need. There is a barbecue area in the courtyard that one can of course use, there is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with plates, cutlery, and so on. Dogs are welcome in the house. Those were two beautiful weeks for us to relax. However, if you are looking for hustle and bustle and disco, this is not the right place. Here, relaxation and peace are the order of the day.

Super schöner Urlaub

My family has once again experienced a beautiful and relaxing vacation with the best landlords you can imagine. Everything was as clean and tidy as usual, and the landlords Marija and Marko were as warm as ever. We always feel at home and have been coming to the beautiful island of Vir for several years now. We have not noticed any power outages over the years, but they can certainly occur (they also happen in Germany :-)), so this should not be seen as a flaw. And if the water taxi does not arrive super quickly at the destination, that's also not a big deal. After all, you are on vacation, so you should have some spare time. I also don't find the prices to be overpriced because, after all, you get really large apartments that are fully equipped. So, I can really only recommend this house and its good souls Marija and Marko because they are always there for all their tenants, no matter what time of day or night. We will definitely come back this summer and are already looking forward to it.

Toller Urlaub

This street is a dream. What an atmosphere! A few steps to the beach, plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available and provided free of charge. The accommodation is clean and has everything you need for a holiday. If there are any questions, Marija and Marco always take the time to help.

We were there with 2 children and a dog. We can highly recommend the accommodation and the hosts and have decided: if Croatia, then only with Marija and Marco. Thank you very much to both of you!

Angel on Earth

After reading the reviews on the internet where a man wrote about Marija and Marko as angels on earth, I really wanted to meet you, and it was true. We had a wonderful holiday. Everything was great, and thanks to the warm welcome and kindness of both, we felt very comfortable. We are already planning to go back next year with the whole family.

Dream vacation, beautiful, world-class

It was the most beautiful vacation I have ever had, and this is not just because of the great location, my girlfriend, the beautiful place, and the first-class room, but also because of these two wonderful hosts.

About the house:
A beautiful apartment building with about a 1-minute walk to the sea, parking right in front of the door, with a balcony, a nice large terrace, a grill, and everything you could wish for. It is cleaner than one would expect and than one knows from some top hotels, no dust, dirt or anything else anywhere.
It is in a side street, so no traffic noise or the like, but also not too remote.
You can reach 3 different beaches in no time and on the nearest beach you have peace and it is not too crowded.
Conclusion: you get much more than what you pay for and it is worth every penny. About the surroundings:
As mentioned, many beaches nearby, it takes about half an hour to walk (at a leisurely pace) to the center or the promenade. There are excellent restaurants there, and the scenery is beautiful. I am very surprised by the value for money, as I expected it to be more expensive. By car, you can reach Nin, Zadar, etc., in no time. There is really a lot to see, and everything is incredibly beautiful!

And now, about the hosts:
Maria and Marko! Two people like I have never met in my life and there is no second time. I am sure that there is no person in this world who has a bigger heart than these two. We were welcomed so warmly from the very first second, as if we had known each other for years. They are two kind-hearted people who also have support from their two nieces and really do everything, there is no "no, that's not possible" or "no, you're not allowed to do that". When you need something, these two are always there to help you, or explain everything and show you where everything is. . .
What people write is true: These two are angels on earth!

Overall, it is highly recommended!
Everyone should get to know these two at least once!

It was a wonderful vacation and a wonderful time!

I would never go on vacation there again

Value for money: Overpriced, Additional costs, alleged tourist tax without receipt, laundry extremely expensive
Service: I went there on a recommendation, unfortunately, we did not feel comfortable there as we had frequent power and air conditioning failures despite additional costs for the air conditioning. There was even a water shortage once, as the tanker did not arrive (for hours). Complaints were not taken seriously. Constant disturbance with the Wi-Fi. The host's family friends did not consider the other tenants, very loud at night. The cars were repeatedly hit by tenant children with a soccer ball. Everything superficial, no honest answers to inquiries, forgotten items were not returned but used. Location beautiful, but overall disappointed with the hosts!

Very nice apartment, recommendable.

Super nice apartment, everything you need is available, kitchen equipped for 8 people, very well-maintained ambience, large seating areas in front and behind the house for cozy evening hours, equipped with large grills where you can also barbecue yourself. Covered parking in the shade for the car, the beach is about 50 meters away from the apartment, there are also plenty of loungers available at all times. The landlords are very accommodating and have an open ear for everything and everyone, even late into the evening. It is a very familiar atmosphere here that we have come to appreciate very much. We will definitely come back.

Unforgettable dreamy summer vacation 2015

We are a family with 2 adults and 3 children (5, 13, 15) and spent our summer vacation in 2015 together with our female dog Lola in Villa Marija with the Barukcic family. It was a good choice from the start and a wonderful stay on the island of Vir. Starting with the nice emails and phone calls beforehand, then the uncomplicated payment for the apartment, and finally the very warm welcome upon arrival. The apartment 4 we stayed in was clean and equipped with everything you need to have a really nice holiday. A large refrigerator with a spacious freezer compartment was also available. The clean pebble beach was about 50 meters away, so we could even let our little boy go to the apartment alone and also keep an eye on our dog or take her to the beach. There were also plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available free of charge. For the children and also for us adults, the shallow and crystal-clear water was a daily joy. And the jetty made of concrete and wood also repeatedly invited us to jump into the cool water. Shopping options such as a bakery and a discount store, as well as many restaurants and pizzerias, can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. We even extended our stay by 1 1/2 days to visit the Krka waterfalls with the Barukcic family and other guests from the house, located about 100 km away. It was a crowning conclusion to our vacation, and we are already looking forward to next year. The sandy beach, which can be reached by car in 10 minutes, is a dream with its secluded and romantic surroundings. It was a really great vacation, and after 5 years of searching, we found the perfect vacation spot in Croatia on the island of Vir where we as a family with children and a dog can spend a relaxing and unforgettable time.

Beautiful clear beach, very nice landlords, apartment very well equipped, very important for me: mattresses are very good, like at home. Very positive: 2 barbecue areas, pavilion for relaxing, many seating options, parking space for car and jet ski, kitchen very well equipped for several people. 50 meters to the beach and many shopping options nearby. In short: See for yourself. Highly recommended.

Wonderful vacation!

After a long search, we found the holiday apartment in Villa Maria rather by chance. It was an absolute stroke of luck. You couldn't wish for better hosts than Marco and Maria as a holiday guest. They helped us at all times, like when looking for good restaurants or special excursions. We felt very comfortable and were very sad to have to leave this place after each stay. The holiday apartment was very well-kept with a fantastic view of the sea. Nearby were all the important shops and a small beach. And we are looking forward to every additional year that we can spend there.

Great vacation on the island of Vir

The location and equipment of the apartments were as described, exceeding my expectations. The apartments are very clean, well-maintained, modernly furnished, and fully equipped with a complete kitchen, TV, living room, internet, and, above all, a nice large refrigerator. The landlords are very nice and helpful. They are approachable for any questions and are happy to help with booking excursions. Sufficient sun loungers and umbrellas are available. The beach and the sea are very clean. Shopping facilities can be easily reached on foot (5 minutes). The island invites you to stay and you can reach many beautiful excursion destinations from the island. There are plenty of cozy restaurants nearby. All in all, a really nice, relaxing vacation, also for my children. A heartfelt thank you to the landlords for the successful vacation, I will definitely come back.

Fantastic holidays and that for 10 years already!!!

As a family, we go to Villa Maria every year because we have fallen in love with the country and the family! It has become our second home! The holiday apartments are top equipped, very well maintained, and clean! The location is excellent as the beach is not even 50m away! Sunbeds and umbrellas are also available! Highly recommended for families with children, as there is no traffic on the streets and it is very quiet! We are going back on August 22nd for 2 weeks and we can't wait! As I said, it's been 10 years already this year! We can only recommend this place! I have never experienced such hospitality before!
